  1. ^ Wow. Looks breathtaking, all of it. Good luck to all participants, from one who is not entering. But will be in the bleachers, cheering on.
  2. ^ (I know). I still am curious how it goes, since I never had ever ridden in TDL's current version. In 2007, it was down for maintenance. And this last tour, I just wasn't interested enough (RunToPooh!) to even go into the building, LOL. Did look roomy, though. The entry building, I mean.
  3. We think we've found the/our new cat to adopt from the SPCA shelter. We'll find out, Monday. We're soooo hoping.
  4. Great idea, Larry! My First Dark Ride I remember. My Dad took me on it, and I was scared to bits on the whole thing. But after getting off, like the coaster at my home park Playland, I wanted to go on it again. And again and again, lol. 1962 - at the Seattle World's Fair (I was 9!) Flight To Mars And have enjoyed dark rides ever since, whether cheesy and totally portable, or new and totally immersive. (EDIT To add: By the way, Larry - if I was dreaming up my own "Dark Rides Alley," I had always wanted there to be at least six to begin with, three on each side, and helming it all at the end of the 'alley' would be my "castle," Flight To Mars. ) A pic I found of it in my files, with a sort-of re-do in a paint job on it, lol. An older pic of it with a vehicle scooting by on the right 'balcony.' (Thankyou to James Bello Collection.)
  5. Most of the leaves in our yards have (finally) fallen.
  6. But - Jasmine's Flying Carpets! Toy Story Midway Mania! Lava Monster! (Honestly, I'm a bit 'meh' about it, myself. But, it could be new fun, in Japanese!)
  7. One of our local professional companys is putting on La Cage aux Folles as their (uh) "Holiday Offering for The Season", lol. Festive and Mary, indeed, ho ho ho! We may see it - not sure just yet - opens end of this month. I did get to see the first West Coast production of it, back in late 1985? I believe. At the Pantages Theater in LA. With Walter Charles as Albin and Gene Barry as Georges. Awesome and amazing. Then, the first tour of it thru Vancouver, with Keen Curtis as Albin and Peter Marshall (The Guy-Who-Hosted-Hollywood-Squares) as Georges, lol. Another awesome production of it, it was.
  8. So - when do you get one installed in your backyard, Robb?
  9. Hmm. Let's see here. How about... GG family wooden coaster + Splinter FX ('underwater') show building =
  10. Mmmm. All your "quick notes" Elissa, just made me feel all warm and squishy inside. In a good geeky kinda way. And then - Dippin' Dots' ROCKY ROAD! Woo hoo!
  11. Awesome Trade Show + Outdoor Midway = EPIC
  12. ^ You know? You may be right! But still. OTSR & HELMETS worn on the rafts, LOL!
  13. ^^ Actually, I was thinking something more along the lines of actually going upside-down in that thing - a few times and then into the last section of the slide outside of it? But then I just realized - the (probable) legality of that 'element'. Probably not that, then. So - high banked turns may be what that does.
  14. In that first photo of WhiteWaters... What happens in that blue 'thing' near the end of the slide run, on the right side? On the left, I can figure it out, but on the right? Still awesome reporting, guys!
  15. This has been my first and only invertigo, since I started touring with TPR. And on the 2009 Scandi Tour, we rode this thing in the pouring rain.... and it was great!! I hope it gets good maintenance and attention in Bagatelle, as it seemed to be getting, in Sommerland Syd. Great invertigo - even with the rain hitting our faces like bullets, lol! (Taken during TPR Scandi Tour, 2009)
  16. Most Awesome-Looking Trade Show Ever! (And Do-it-Yourself Rides represent!)
  17. ^ Fantastic! And I just noticed my TPR Japan Tour Forums were recently 'combined' with my other past TPR Tour Forums. Which can only mean one thing - new TPR China Tour Forums going up, soon!
  18. Excellent! I loved the two songs I heard her sing from the 2 cd set ("Solang Ich Dich Hab" and "Gutes Tun" / "As Long As You're Mine" and "No Good Deed") and she has an amazing voice!
  19. ^^ "By the sea - By the sea By the beautiful sea - You and I - You and I Oh how happy we'd be..." Great look at Pontchartrain! We 'almost' went to the park back in 1982 during a NO visit, but for some reason, changed our plans. Sorry we missed out on it. Darn.
  20. XLR-8 (Ridden in Oct.1992 at the now gone Astroworld.)
  21. Having the sniffles continually, sucks.
  22. I love this park! The time we spent here on the TPR 2008 tour was wonderful. The new additions keep making this park better and better for re-visits, etc. Must get back here. TROY!
  23. I'm pretty sure. But for us tonight, I think we saw (we don't watch too much tv) the first Christmas commericals of the season... Ho ho ho.
  24. WOO HOO! Thanks for the Great Update, Elissa! And I hope the move hasn't stressed you guys out, too much. Oh - and HAPPY NEW NEIGHBOURHOOD! (and... So Excited!!!)
