  1. Sadly, it'll be my home park Playland, and it won't be until next spring when it finally re-opens for the new season. (But then it all goes Scandi mid-June, with TPR! Great parks.)
  2. I think one of these would be great in Playland (PNE). It could sit on the edge of the west side of the park, with the green park space on the other side of it. And it would be totally opposite our great wooden coaster, on the east side of the park. Overview of part of that area, from the SkyWheel - usually during our annual fair, they put several flats in these spots. Above most of the space. This could actually be where the first drop happens - into that turn (around the picnic tables) and up and under the lift-hill, which would be through those trees there. Hmmm. It is possible for a Mega Lite here, I am sure of it. South end of that space. This was taken on our Gay Day at Playland, back mid-July.
  3. ^ Well, I hope they won't take Iron Man into Star Wars territory. From the description, this reads like it's going to be more "city" located, and it could go underground as well. And if it does go into outer space, it'll still be a totally different "space-scape" created, I would hope. And the ride vehicles look like they could have cooler darker colours and outside and in. I also finally saw a new ST.2 version at Tokyo Disney. And I am an old geek on this one. I missed the ice caves. And that great near miss landing. I don't care about multiple flights. The original was the one you remembered going back for, again and again. This version has now become a "credit count" as to "how many tours" have you done, blah blah.
  4. New fave series on my current list... American Horror Story: COVEN First episode tonight was awesome! With Jessica Lange (again) leading the pack, lol!
  5. Just saw the first episode tonight, of American Horror Story: COVEN It was freekin' awesome! Can't wait to see/hear more.
  6. I loved that whoever was running this place, were literally living in what was their former dark ride building. And the bra and panties coaster was right beside them, for true "outdoor living".
  7. I mapping on architecture! (thank you JC.) It's so cool. And past Disney shows in the American parks and Paris, have looked really beautiful. From what I have seen on TheTube.
  8. ^ Yeah, now that you mention it, everything new in the future (beyond 2014), seems to be popping up all over the Asian Disney Parks! Including Shanghai Disney's Opening! Hmmm.
  9. In the original opening of the 1950's, Tomorrowland was 'innocent', and corporation-sponsored, just as it's been through the decades. 1964-65 Worlds Fair in New York changed all that, and speeded up a re-do of TL Walt felt was necessary to keep up with current theme park trends, Disney's being ahead of course, at the time. So 1967 became the "what if" year for Tomorrowland, with "Carousel of Progress,'" "Journey-Inner Space" and PeopleMovers being the main draw. The current time period seems to be the "what now" section of the timeline. So.... its a possible huge makeover, that a lot of purists are NOT going to like. But then, did anybody protest during the 1959 era of Matterhorn and Submarine, and Monorail?
  10. All of Fantasyland was basically a "re-do" back in 1983. And it all turned out okay. So - maybe the time has come for a really radical makeover for Tomorrowland. It was done in 1967. So...?
  11. Definitely on of my "Must-Revisit-Again-and-Again Parks" List. As is Grona Lund - and Europa - and Phantasialand - and Efteling. 2006 TPR Tour Add-On. 2009 TPR Scandi Tour.
  12. ^ Is this where Ice Bat's "journey"....was? Great call if it is. Great 'rehearsal' call, if it isn't, lol. And yeah. Corsets'll do that to ya.
  13. Oh my. As impressive as that reads... Oh my. Quite the makeover. I love these rumors.
  14. Guess I lose those all-important bonus points. Tokyo Disney Sea
  15. Hmmm. "take flight." Sounds cool already!
  16. "When There's No One" Marin Mazzie from the off-broadway musical cast cd of CARRIE And it was A Big Hit back in 2012!
  17. Aw Peter - you made me "homesick"... for Liseberg LOL! Great big wonderful overall tour of the park. Thanks for all that! This is one of the parks (like Efteling) where I really enjoy just walking around, and discovering all the details and extras, Liseberg puts into it's park and attractions. And The Gasten Hotel of course!
  18. So a Few Final Thoughts Etc. on this Japan Tour... THANKS go out to Robb and Elissa for again making Japan be all the more different, on my third go with them. HUGS! LOVE TO David, my partner of 41 years, for allowing me to FINALLY talk him into a TPR Tour, lol! And it was always going to be one to Japan, anyway. I think we had a really great time over there, and certainly enjoy some new experiences together (all you can eat bbq!). Hugs and to you. AWESOME to tour with people I knew, and others I enjoyed meeting and touring with, first time. It was great to tour with all of you. Japan is what it is, calm and serene in one setting, then absolutely WTF in another. Riding coasters that probably wouldn't make it past US Standards; checking out totally cool and cheesy dark rides, fun houses, MIRROR mazes! Always stuff that's new to discover.... or walk into! And once again - if ANY one of you out there is even considering an overseas TPR Tour, DO IT! Start saving up now and in a year or so... you too can be stuck in a 3 hour line at Fuji-Q Highland Park... Awesome. Thanks for reading my report. Next year for me - Scandi. On our Canada Day (July 1/13) in Japan, with the WRONG Mt.Fuji behind us, lol! It's just outside Rusutsu Resort, Sapporo. Edit to add this one. I mean, c'mon! It's practically manditory for us Disney Parks Freeks! And THANKS again for checking out our TR, to the always awesome country of Japan!
  19. I love the funhouses and dark rides of these Oktoberfests. And pretzels! Now this is the size and thickness to make them! A piddly little franchise here, puts them out as thin as (ugh) toothpicks. That alone I would visit for. The pretzels, lol. Thanks for the great report!
  20. horse races
  21. Two other things I forgot to post! One was a shot of the night light pendants I picked up at Tokyo Disney Resort. Three of them were for the current 30th Anniversary of the Resort, the other was just a "flashing Mickey", heh. The two Big Ear Ones had different music 'sounds' as well as several Mickey expressions, when you pressed one of the buttons on them. Silly, but fun at the time. And I took a video of them flashing (jamming?) away, along with a few other night lights I had bought, before. At Disney. [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=MVI_3395_h664[/coastertube] Enjoy. And sorry the sound isn't all that great. I'm still learning. Here's the four night lights I picked up at Disney.
  22. Nice and sunny for this weekend. Rain coming back, starting Monday.
