  1. ~ But First, Some On-Ride Photos! ~ We did manage to get a few on-ride photos during the tour, alhough most of them, natch, were at Disney,. And all the others were at Fuji and Sea Paradise. The first three, if you've been following this report along, you have already seen. The Sea Paradise Park one, we decided to get as a fridge magnet, then discovered at home, the little thing could be sat upright on a table, etc! So, it's ON TOP of the fridge, not on the fridge itself, LOL. The other two were for walk-throughs at Fuji-Q. The first one was some kind of "Prison Break" thing we had to gallop through in less than ten minutes..or/and we lost! The second one was from the park's famous walk-through, "Haunted Hospital". And walking through that attraction was four times as long as "Prison Break", lol! But it was good and really intense at times. I would do it again. Even all of those stairs, ha ha.

  4. It looks like some kind of "controlled" white water raft ride, to me. EDIT to add - of the two side by side photos of the two rafts, the one on the right, looks like the raft going over the falls? Possible coaster track underneath? So you just see the falls, and so on.
  5. ^ To catch stuff that wasn't found by the station people, after all the rest of your stuff was securely put in a (hee hee) locker. Or to catch jumpers. One or the other.
  6. OMG...... SLIPPERS! (o;
  7. There appears to be a LOT of screens these vehicles will be moving towards, running from, traveling by... and the released visual doesn't really show it, but is there any word on this, to possibly be a 3-D glasses-wearing attraction? So far, with the first three trackless attractions (Aquatopia, Pooh, Mystic Manor), Disney hasn't relied so much on large screens being a main part of such a ride. Just being curious. I am actually hoping that glasses won't be worn, and that the films on the screens will be Ultra High-Def, or something like that.
  8. ~ July 8/13 - Heading Home ~ We had our last breakfast at the lovely Tokyo Hilton Garden Lounge Restaurant buffet. We'd miss it. Then, happily, a non-stop flight to home. No running for transfers, or such junk. (On-Ride Photos to follow...) I thought I would try the Japanese "pig snout".....hee hee. It was lotus root, ha! Thankfully, not ours. And we're off, to home! Some beuatiful views, through the night/day/night/whatever, lol.
  9. ^^ It was my favourite coaster in Parc Asterix, lol!
  10. Nights.
  11. And for those who are watching, tonight.... Happy Prime Time Emmys Night! (Hope your fave is a winner.)
  12. Sad day today. Our park Playland (PNE) is about to close for the current season, today. At 5pm. And it's been raining and raining a LOT from morning till now. I was planning to go for one more ride on Coaster, but didn't - just don't want to get drenched, waiting in line for anything. So not really a rant, just a sad thing to know.
  13. "Falling....with style."
  14. ^ In the Disney Studios, up in the right hand corner of the park, beside Toy Story Playland, Larry. They even put it on a park map, there.
  15. ^ And if it does turn out to be fairly short, Disney will plus up the entire queueing area (and probable exit into The Gift Shop, lol) in the attraction building. And it will be as much an experience as the ride itself.
  16. ^ Me too, honestly. But like I said, rumored - proposed. And Tomorrow Land is still on the Left Side!
  17. I'm glad to read that the good old wood coaster has been given some new life, with just the lapbar, and no seatbelts, etc. Our coaster here has proven for over 50 years that some times, all you need is a lapbar to make a really great wooden coaster ride. "Do The Puyallup!" (Will never get that jingle out of my brain.)
  18. Am bumping this, cause it's been a few months now... Any word (esp.photos) of anything going on currently, with construction of the park/resort? EDIT to add this V Rumored "proposed" circuit layout for the TRON-CycleCoaster. Green is the launch. Double lines are the load and unload. And I think the red arrows are just there, to help you figure the route out, without getting lost, LOL.
  19. Mmm when this gets finished and opened, it will make up an awesome trio of Asia Disney parks and resorts... for (most of) part of a TPR Tour... Papa (TDLR); Mama (SDLR); and Baby (HKDLR) Disneyland.
  20. PLOT TWIST: This is what you were going to post here. Did you just do a Paradox or somethin
  21. Stick with TPR, and you eventually can! I've visited Japan 3 times now, with Robb and Elissa. Can't get better than that.
  22. ^ Ooooooo, and TPR-less! Looking forward to seeing what you did, where you did it, and what you found, David.
  23. FANTASMIC is a Go! (o: Our last night ends. )o: So, after zipping up into Mysterious island for a FP'd re-ride of "Journey", we came back down to where we anted to view Famtasmic! from. Usually, when they cancelled a showing, it was something like less than fifteen minutes, truth! They go that close, and it must be really sad for them, since the show is supposed to be AWE-SOME. But with fireworks. And rain/wind don't let 'the show must go on." Until this last night we were at the park. Nothing said over the loud speakers, and by five minutes to the hour, we were really hoping for the best. Then we moved to what turned out to be a great viewing spot. They rope off an area to the right of the lagoon, near us at the Cafe Portofino, for wheelchair viewing. We as gp are allowed to stand up to where the rope stops us. And with twenty feet or so between us and the water's edge...only three wheelchairs. We had total head clearance of the show, which we were very surprised at, since we just joined the audience ten minutes before it started. And years ago, i spent up an hour to wait for these TDS shows, Mythica and BraviSEAmo! Now I know better. The show was great, the best part for myself was The Dragon making its appearance. And of coyrse all those wonderful disney fireworks used through-out the show. Very cool in the Harbour. After that, we headed back to the hotel, and I just sat staring out the window as lights went out on attractions here and there in both parks. But next week, I'll start going through what I am (in)famous for... My Souvenirs Haul. And with this kind of tour - it's all mostly about Disney, woo hoo!!! Can't wait to "show and tell" about everything... (EDIT To Add: David and myself actually saw the original Fantasmic, at DL back in March of 1996. So it was a real treat seeing this one for our first time, so many years later etc. Very cool. We also have a couple of park photos taken from the [then] parking lot in front of DL. Memories...) Here's where our view of Mt.P was, from the Cafe Portofino. David in position, to catch Mt.P when it has a 'burp' or two. (o; Success! A rumbly in the tumbly, lol! (DbM) Then, a good one! They were very intermittent, though. We couldn't time them apart, for all the hours we spent there, lol. (DbM) After that - Fantasmic starts... (And after this first shot, I just didn't take any more pix of it. I wanted to see it with my own eyes, and NOT through a camera lens. So the rest are from David. xox me) (DbM) (DbM) And..... A Fountain. This reminds me. They should drown That Sorcerer's Hat at the Disney Studios. Just a thought. (DbM) Brooms - it had to be - broomsss...EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEp. (DbM) I think this was where The Dragon shows up. (DbM) I love firey BOOMS! (DbM) {firey?} SPOILER ALERT... Yeah, I think this where The Dragon...Blows up (DbM) Then it goes nutso-FIREWORKS-crazy! (DbM) Then, one more gasp of fire - and it calms down - and it's over. Perfect. Will see it again, next visit for sure. (DbM)
