  1. ^ My head hurt, just reading that.
  2. Them there eyes. Stella, wanting more treats, snacks or food, probably. But those eyes, longing, wanting, demanding...
  3. Tokyo Disney Resort Celebrates 30 Years! (2013) So, in addition to TDLR celebrating TANABATA during our TPR visit last summer, the resort was also celebrating it's 30 years of existence! Having opened on APRIL 15,1983 and continued to grow and expand, especially with a second gate (Disney Sea) in 2001, and new attractions, shows and celebrations, this a must-see resort in the Disney franchise. AND it was the very first overseas Disney park to open, after the American parks/resorts. And I am pretty sure the celebration is still going on as I type this, as most Major Disney park Events go. But back then, there was a "gift cup" available when buying a dessert, or something like that, at one or more of the park's restaurants. Naturally, I could not resist. The Mug, with the great neato "30" handle! And all the gang's here! There's the Goof. Man's Best Buddy. Ah, the Couple of The Hour. Happiness Was There! (o: Some of the in park balloons, lit up! David and myself, showing that you are never too old to look ridiculous and have an awesome time doing it! ~ HAPPY 30TH ANNIVERSARY TOKYO DISNEY RESORT! ~
  4. Welcome to TPR! The brunch buffet in Hotel Colosseo looks wonderful! We have had great breakfast and dinner buffets there, in past TPR visits, but the brunch looks very nice.
  5. Well damn, there's an idea for a future coaster and theme, Mark! I also love the look of the train and the layout is perfect for a family coaster.
  6. It's so nice to be reading someone's else's TR on our tour, last summer. I still miss it all, and this helps a lot to remember. Arigato Ken!
  7. And reading glasses. Bring them, no question.
  8. ^ "look" being the operative word, here. Great shots of Heide Park, Hanno. Been a long while since visiting, for me.
  9. ^^ Thanks for the link, for those of us who don't do Facebook. Looks great, just before that first drop. I know some of the original layout, but the custom part is going to be cool to see.
  10. Oops. I take back the "report" of... (Honestly, to me, it immediately looked like the thread did not belong here. My bad.)
  11. With the 2 times I've (TPR) toured to Europa, I don't think I have even seen the actual Park Entrance! We always used the Colossus Hotel entrance, on the other side of the park. Still, it is nice to see it's getting some Europa non-coaster love.
  12. ^ janky? That's a new word, for me.
  13. ^ Yes, that's true. Still, I love it that this MK is putting attractions outside the iconic "berm" of the park. Truly a unique and already really different Magic Kingdom from the others. And it looks like Shanghai DL will go one further, practically eliminating the berm altogether. There's rumors also, that the Peter Pan attraction going to SDL will be bigger and have more to it, than the previous incarnations. This one, I am hoping also comes to HKDL later, with all that extra space beyond Fantasy Land. (See overhead park photo, above this post.)
  14. "She's so fluffyyyyyyy!"
  15. Celebrating Tanabata in TDL - 2013 While the Tokyo Disney Resort was busy celebrating it's year long+ 30th Anniversary, it of course had other smaller festivals and celebrations to enjoy. This is one of them, and it ran for only a few weeks. We caught the end of it, and I got a mug to remember the occasion. And characters were out in costumes like those on the cup. I found the dreadlocks on Max and Goofy...interesting. Here's the mug - note the 'roped' handle on it. Max and Goofy. Chip & Dale (or is it Dale & Chip?), Minnie and Daisy. Donald. And Mickey with Pluto. Bottom of the cup. Now why oh why, can't they make this "in Japan?" The Tanabata monument in World Bazaar.
  16. "Perdido" Dizzy Gillespie
  17. Man, how to do a skiing trip right, huh? That looks great. And cool you got to try a prototype out.
  18. ^ LOL it would not surprise me... Tokyo Disney Easter in....June? (2011) This was my second trip to Japan with TPR, and my second visit to the Tokyo Disney Resort. It was also the finish of the Disneyland park's celebration of Easter. And about ready to get into it's summer season. So we caught the end of it, and I got the souvenir mug for it. Wierd, but it was nice, the Easter decorations still up were nice. And giant character "eggs" all over the park, too. And this neat group of "living statues" I enjoyed watching perform. The Easter Mug of TDL. Back view of it. Mickey and Minnie on the inside. The bottom, with Donald and Daisy there. One of the Living Statues during the Easter Season of the park.
  19. I just found out what "today" is... Happy National POPCORN Day! Everybody! Like all of these flavors should be in the USA. These are at Tokyo Disney Resort.
  20. ^ Don't forget Efteling Park! I am so sure that this is one of the other parks Walt Disney visited, before he put Disneyland together. I mean, all that landscaping.
  21. This ^ was my posted opinion of Tivoli, late 2011, two years after the first TPR Tour to Scandinavia. Not sure if any of this helps you or not, but I am so looking forward to the re-visit in June! Tivoli is The Danish Blackpool! Looking in back here, you'd never know there were a bunch of coasters and rides, further on. Hi guys! (2009) Quote: "In the Arcade, the right side area which is actually IN the lower part of the wooden coaster building! The walk-thru (Major Workout!) FunHouse was in that building too! Great use of space, Tivoli!"
  22. ^ Everything about Liseberg is awesome!
