Great report of a park I don't read about, too much. Beautiful photos, too! Thanks for taking the time to post your trip there, here! -

^ LOLOL! That's something! Your son has a future in "performance arts," lol! I do hope he was okay, after that experience. -
Funniest Ride Experiences

I still don't remember what made us all laugh on it, but a coaster we rode in the TPR 2012 China Tour, had us in fits at the end of the ride. I'm pretty sure it was somebody (a local, perhaps?) who was screaming during the entire ride, and it must have been quite the 'unusual' scream, because we were all laughing our heads off when we came back into the station. And somebody got a photo of us, too! It was in Chimelong Paradise Park. On Young Star Coaster. And THANK YOU to whoever took this photo! It's been awhile. I forget. -

^ Oh okay, thanks. Good to know. I thought they'd already widened the time period by now, but I guess not. Also, I checked ahead, and it appears they are opening the parks way earlier in September, than I remember them doing back in 2016. Like...8 am openings in DL vs. 10 am back then? Eep. And the Early Morning on the Tuesday we're going will be at (gulp) 7 am. Since we'll be using transit (#460) to DL from the Knott's Hotel every morning, it's definitely early rising those days. I assumed this is all for Galaxy's Edge, and Sept. not being blacked out for all the Yearly Passholders (of the various levels). This'll be a fun 4-5 days when we're there, lol.

Well, here it is, two weeks later and it's Park 'n' Burger Day #4 today. From a Playland visit to BF. I had the Belgian Fries' Beef Burger, which isn't really that special compared to the other burgers here. But with a couple of added condiments (ketchup & mustard), plus a spread of one of their 'kickier' Mayo Dips (Jamaican Heat), it was a great messy thing! I really enjoyed it. The fries seemed "different" as they were larger and longer, to me. Maybe it was just me. But it was good. A very good burger and fries. So here's the list of them all, in order of (my) preference... Ultimate Burger Chicken Burger Beef Burger Salmon Burger Veggie Burger Next week, or later on, I plan to treat myself to another "My #1 Choice", The Ultimate. YUM! And here's the photos I took, today... Here we go, again. Ready and waiting. This is it! Very juicy beef patty. And the fries look a bit bigger than I've seen, before. Hmmm. Starting to get messy here. And messier still. But I ate it all! (o:

Was at the park for a couple of hours today. Kind of busy, mainly with the Coaster queue. But that was fine. Won some more tickets on the Monopoly Quarters Drop, and took a few "cloud shots" during my visit there. Note: "a classic reverse curve." This is the Reverse Curve. The Monopoly Quarters Drop "game," if you can call it that. I did okay. Not great. But way better than Ice Ball. Well, somebody's got their hands up! Some nice landscaping in the centre of the park. And this is what travels around it all. Either you're GLAD or you're IATOR. But not both. (o; Final shot. -

^ Since we have so many good Asian eating spots around where we live, I would hesitate to get any Asian food in any park, my own included, as well as during the PNE. But that's just me. You said you'd had their salad before... sorry to hear it went so wrong for you... ...Except for spending an awesome day at the park for The Kids! -

^ Thanks for the envy, heh. It's really taken me a long, long time (before my 50's, I hardly went to the park), to really appreciate what I/we've got here in Playland. And not just Coaster, either. Several really first class flats they have here, now (The Beast, AtmosFEAR, etc.). So I'm catching up, at my age LOLOL! And so are they, I'm guessing. These new ride additions have all happened in the last ten years or so. p.s. When you get older, and can move out on your own, consider Seattle. Only a few hours' drive away from Coaster and Playland(PNE)! The PNE Concert Series lineup. www.pne.ca -
This one came with an email from our local cheese/fondue/raclette store, several blocks from us. I thought it was funny, all things being "Shark Week" and such, on TV. https://buycheese.com/event/charc-week-2019/

Just out! The 2019 Pride Guide is out, around town. We celebrate Vancouver Pride through the week (up to), and have our Pride Parade on the first Sunday of August (Aug.04 this year). Which then allows us to get down to Seattle/Portland for their Pride weekends, usually end of June. So, here's the page in the Guide, the Pride Society put out about Out At The Fair at this year's PNE! All the info is there, and more importantly, the socks are a different design, and with the year on them, too! https://www.pne.ca/ways-to-save/ It does make me wonder, what design they'll go for, next year.....diagonal stripes?
