^ Is the Train Station 'Museum' still there? And still good? I visited it with my host decades ago. Enjoyed touring through all the different rail cars, and having lunch in the middle of the station with the highest point above us, in glass and stained glass. Really beautiful. -
Just hit with a movie casting revelation! Found out before the holidays, that FOLLIES was finally going to be made as a film! This is following a HUGE London Revival that was repeated with a totally new cast a year later! And the director of that revival, is The Director for this! So, I had an idea. Could the cast of the film CHICAGO (2002), be a repeat cast for these 4 parts in FOLLIES?.... Sally - Renee Zellweger Phyillis - Catherine Zeta-Jones Buddy - John C. Reilly Benjamin - Richard Gere And "just because"... Carlotta - Meryl Streep Opera Singer - Renee Fleming Hmmm? Possible?

By the way Bert.... I was wondering about the Gyozas. Did anybody ask about making a lot of them, and then freezing some for future meals? Or is this totally frowned upon, in Japan? I ask this, because here in Vancouver, we have a number of Asian-based food companies who supply local grocery stores with uncooked, pre-made, frozen ones, under Brand Names I might add. And they're as good, IMhO. But of course I can get them made fresh, too. I just thought I would ask their/TPR's opinion of possibly doing this, with a fresh LARGE batch of Gyozas.

Haven't had either. But because of my politics.... Yes. Do you know what a cloister is? (No Googling now, poppets.)

Great stuff there Bert, especially that cooking class! What a great "souvenir" of a trip like that. Including the recipes you can do at home, especially those yummy-looking Pounded Pickles there! Great treat I'm sure. And of course I am soooooo looking forward to your reporting on that "Other Resort" you went to.

I am so thankful that with Robb and Elissa's TPR Tours, I got to see and enjoy some really interesting smaller parks in Japan. Along with the big ones like Universal and Disney. Always some comparisons among them all, but so fun to enjoy as they stand. Sorry to see more closing up shop in these times.

Favorite Disney Park and why?
Nrthwnd replied to Hattuchili's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Yeah, I agree about how lopsided WDW makes it, over all the other parks/resorts. And it always will, I'm sure. But if it's just based on Fave Magic Kingdoms, and no extra parks etc. added in... would that work better as a true Disney Park Poll? And there are 6 to choose from. Ah, the stress of deciding. Question to all: Does anyone(s) know how well "ZOOTOPIA" did in France, and Europe in general? That asked, I am wondering, that "maybe in the distant future", this "may be a new land" to add to the new part of Disney Studios, around the new lake they're creating? Once everything else is up and running, that is. And Shanghai's original land of this IP is open, too. And (hopefully) successful and OMG!-impressive, tech-wise. Still, it's a "COOL" from me, if it happened, since they have all that additional space to build future stuff around the lake. But time will tell. Nice sized spaces between Avengers Campus, Star Wars, Frozen...... And Route 66! (o: -

Favorite Disney Park and why?

^ We haven't been to Animal Kingdom, yet. But of the three we did get to, through the years, EPCOT has still been my fave WDW Park. I have always enjoyed going to Worlds Fairs around the world (got to several of them in earlier years), and EPCOT still has that "look" of such an event, no matter how many changes and additions/subtractions the two main areas go through. Looking forward to all the new stuff there, when we plan (hopefully) to hit their annual Food & Wine Fest in Nov.2024! NOT a Fave Disney Ride of Mine: Indiana Jones, BACKWARDS! 2004 DLP Yep, that's me begging it to stop. -

Favorite Disney Park and why?

^ I would love this poll to be re-opened, and see how it all goes, nowadays? What with DisneySea REALLY being noticed and loved A LOT now. And Shanghai added in, as well. My amazing meal in HKDL, before leaving for home. Sept.30-2012. -

I figured, I might as well post this here, as well as in the Random Thread. I sort of, just realized, that the rest of my/our traveling years are (probably) going to be spent, just going to Disney Parks and Resorts... 2022 - Disney Paris* ~ David's and My 50th Anniversary Year Visit! ~ Our very 1st visit was in 2002. 2023 - Nuthin' at this time. (Maybe pay the credit cards off?) 2024 - WDW - EPCOT and Animal Kingdom ONLY. 2025 - Disney Tokyo (We'd love to add Hong Kong and Shanghai, to this trip. But...$$$???) 2026 - Back to Paris*? One more time? Not that there's anything wrong with this realization. And I'll be 69 and David will be 75, when 2022 rolls around. Things that make you go..... "What's your Fave!" *And Amsterdam, too. P.S. In 2023, we could actually return to Disneyland and DCA and check out RoTR and M&MsRR, Avengers Campus by then. Money, money, money.... Tokyo Disneyland ~ 2013 ~ See you in 2025, Mickey! -

Theme parks and coasters in the snow

I loved it, as some from California and/or Florida (and thereabouts) freeked seeing I (and a few other Northeners) wearing shorts on the Scandi Tours. When the temps were going as low as 50 -60 degrees. Memories. From the net. -

I find it interesting and fascinating that this park is using the box-like show buildings to contain totally different attractions with facades to match. And side by side without looking tired or bland. Awesome! It actually reminds me of how our World's Fair in 1986 was done, with similar box-like structures for all countries participating, (this was a World's Fair that didn't require all countries and businesses to create their own pavilions from scratch) and it really made for some interesting facades etc. And it all worked together, too! Highlight of EXPO 86's Japan Pavilion: A MAGLEV train ride!
