  1. I could only find one short video online (hopefully TPR will get some more pics and videos of it) but I'm a fan of FNAF and anything creepy, and the series is really popular, so I totally could see a FNAF-themed dark ride. I also heard they're making a FNAF movie, so building a ride relative to the movie release could prove very strategic. Thanks for the IAPPA updates so far! It's always great to see TPR's coverage of IAAPA, and I'm looking forward to what else is in store this week!
  2. Hoping Dollywood for my first time, would have to be after finals in December. Otherwise, hoping SFDK in December when I visit the Bay again.
  3. Yes. I don't think I've waited more than two hours, and it was for Millennium Force and Dragster when I first visited Cedar Point. Do you have strong opinions about the US election?
  4. I've panicked in walk-throughs, and I've gotten scared in dark rides, but no panicking. It feels less scary to ride through than to walk. Have you been going to your home park since you were a kid?
  5. So cool!! Thank you for sharing! Here's a 1996 map for reference
  6. Yes! They're my favorites! Have you ever gotten drunk at a theme park?
  7. Yes Do you like wine?
  8. The Sunday before last. My church gives out free donuts. Have you been to a theme park during this November?
  9. I actually kind of like Kong, it doesn't beat me up too much usually and it's at least somewhat thrilling, whereas Boomerang has the "I might get beat up factor," minus the thrill. I've ridden Boomerang once in the last few years (only for a first-timer at the park), but I'll ride Kong almost every time I go (at least pre-Joker, things are different now). Last time I rode it, I actually thought it wasn't as bad as I remembered it, so maybe you're right. I'm just not a big fan of Boomerangs.
  10. For King's Island: 1) Beast at night (During the day, I might put it back a few notches) 2) Diamondback 3) Banshee 4) Firehawk 5) Flight of Fear 6) Bat 7) Stunt Coaster 8) Adventure Express (mostly at night) 9) Racer 10) Woodstock Express 11) Vortex 12) Invertigo SFDK 1) Joker 2) Superman 3) Medusa 4) V2 5) Kong 6) Boomerang (yuck)
  11. The one that lives on Drury Lane? Never actually met him. Do you wear colored socks?
  12. When did you ride it? Because a few weeks ago it was HAULING and apparently the other train is even faster! (It was only running one train when we went). July 3rd. Rainy day. Wasn't a bad ride, to me it was overshadowed by Lightning Run I kind of have the same opinion. Storm Chaser is a great ride, absolutely awesome from start to finish, but I like Lightning Run a little more. I can't really say why, but if I'm in that park, and I have time for one last ride, Lightning Run's the one I'd choose. They do different things, and they're both really a lot of fun. KK is doing incredible things with their new coasters. I just went earlier this year for the first time, and I already want to go back. To each his own. I LOVED Lightning Run but I loved Storm Chaser more. I definitely rode SC way more on my trip, and saved it for last. We have a special relationship now because she stole my car keys and I had to wait in the parking lot killing time with my boyfriend for several hours waiting for the locksmith to arrive. I got the keys mailed back a few days later but they don't work because now only the smithed key works. But besides the backstory, we experienced some gnarly thigh-bruising ejector in the second half of that ride. It had the strongest ejector of any of the 5 RMCs I've ridden. Lightning Run had some great airtime too but it wasn't nearly as strong as SC to me, and the lap bars kind of hurt my shins.
  13. It works out in my favor if I'm towards the end of the line and the line ahead of me clears out only to have the ride reopen 10 minutes later. Was not the case this summer on multiple incidences on Joker; it would go down and not reopen for hours (if at all) when it was having its issues earlier this year. I imagine people felt the same struggle with Lightning Rod. I agree with whoever said Falcon's Fury. You can hear that Eeeeeee-whoosh! from all the way across the park. And Kumba's roar.... I don't recall someone mentioning this yet, but I really dislike the grinding/rattling sounds RMCs make when they are first breaking in, an unhealthy-sounding metal grating on metal. Thankfully, it appears to go away over time and doesn't affect anything too much, but I disliked those sounds on Joker earlier this year.
  14. Worst: "We are currently experiencing a delay in operation, we don't know when ____ will be up and running again. At this time, we recommend you check out our other rides in the park such as ...."
  15. When did you ride it? Because a few weeks ago it was HAULING and apparently the other train is even faster! (It was only running one train when we went).
  16. Great pictures! I'm sad that it's off-season now This will be my first winter in Ohio, and I'm going to miss the super dead December/January trips to Six Flags. Is KI ever that dead? It would be awesome marathoning Diamondback! I had a great time visiting KI almost every weekend this fall, and I'm excited to visit it more next year! Too bad it sounds like it doesn't get that dark until Haunt, I LOVE the Beast at night! Looking forward to trying out Timbers at night next fall as well! I was there on Saturday to say my end-of-year farewell to KI and Haunt. We had to wait in pretty long lines for everything, but we got some of the best rides on Banshee, Beast, and Diamondback that I've had!
  17. Don't you just love the off-season?
  18. Bet between Six Flags Great America and Cedar Point I'm in Ohio and know someone who plays for Cleveland, yet I think it would be hilarious if SFGAm renamed one of CP's coasters for opening weekend! I wonder to what extent they will carry out the bet? Put temporary signage over the ride sign and change the maps just for the weekend?
  19. Wow, GREAT TR! This Haunt looks absolutely amazing! I was blown away by the scare talent as shown in your pictures and video, it really does look like they go above and beyond in putting their personal flair into it. I really liked the clowns and their misdirection, that was awesome. The make-up and costumes there look killer as well! Definitely going to hit this up next time I'm in SoCal during Haunt season!
  20. At Cedar Point last weekend, in a grilled cheese. Otherwise, a long time. When was the last time you were disappointed with something?
  21. I think Firehawk is awesome, and everyone we have taken to the park loves it as well. We make a point to ride it several times while we are at the park. Hell, this year, the only thing we rode more than Firehawk was Diamondback. I'd gladly take Firehawk over Racer, Flight Of Fear, Vortex,Invertigo, Banshee, and even The Beast any day. I wont argue with you that the capacity sucks, but that's what there is Fast Lane Plus. Totally agree, Firehawk is one of my favorite coasters at the park and it's still a very unique and rare type of coaster. Flight of Fear is pretty awesome as well (though I haven't been on the KD version). I hope they keep both rides for a long time. I agree with you guys saying they probably won't RMC Racer, but I wasn't a huge fan of it when I rode it, and I did feel it was a bit rough. Not super ungodly rough, but enough that I haven't chosen to ride it since. I wouldn't mind an RMC of it, but keeping Racer and building a ground-up RMC would be even better. Imagine an RMC through the woods there at KI
  22. As I was reading this. I am vegetarian, so every day is a vegetarian meal day. When was the last time you dressed in a costume?
  23. I believe you, but I'm still planning on going this Saturday. Probably just do mazes and Beast night ride if the lines are super long. Would be nice to get one more Diamondback ride this season, but I don't really wanna wait 2 hours.
  24. meh...i never got to appeal of that ride when i went on it,it was so disappointing. Yet it seems a lot of people like that ride. Some enough they got bent out of shape about it. I left a comment on youtube about how that ride is boring and someone was like you arnt a true coaster fan if you say that!!! It was funny honestly. Also im surprised someone with a pic of a giga coaster would like it so much:P lol Just like i dont get the appeal of Wizzer at Great America either.... So, what is your guilty pleasure ride, so I can say "meh" to it, too? I called it a guilty pleasure ride, not a Top 50 coaster! Plus, my positive feelings about it are almost entirely based on night rides. It isn't anywhere near as good in the daytime. Plus, that ending... Still arguably the best troll-job on a roller coaster anywhere! Especially when you tell people to brace for the launch, and they actually believe you
  25. Any ride.... that you can't walk straight once you get off is awesome in my book.
