  1. So, I changed my plans and will be going on Sunday instead of Friday... (Posted it earlier. Not that I expect you to remember that!) How have the crowds been lately? Are Sundays bad? I've considered getting a Flash Pass. But I've heard that they need your passport or something similar until you return it. Is that... true? I know that Superman will be closed for sure, how about the other coasters? Sorry for bombarding you all with questions.
  2. Yes, it is listed as a Dive Machine. But all the features are the same. Could it be a new type of Dive Machine? The wing-walker style trains are somewhat similar in design. EDIT: Saw this pretty recent post on Screamscape. http://screamscape.com/html/heide-park.htm
  3. I have a feeling that this is the coaster we are going to see for Heide-Park, too. They (Heide) released some details about their ride, specifying a height of around 35 meters, an immelman and a "hill". The hill is already on this ride, they have erected supports for an immelman, all in all there seems to be too many similarities to call it an incident. The track type that is used here is very similar to that of Heide-Park. Also, the magnetic fin-sections are used in both cases. Thoughts?
  4. Thanks a lot, Elissa! I will check out the crowds when I go there. Flash pass sounds like a pretty good idea.
  5. I may be going to Six Flags Magic Mountain on October 23rd (Saturday.) Is this during the Fright Fest? Is it usually crowded this day? (Saturday+fall). Also, I will probably be coming alone, is Magic Mountain "single rider friendly"? Thanks in advance!
  6. Oh, no! Will running it in WinXP-mode help? Anything I can do but getting a new (old) computer?
  7. I'm trying to merge a log flume with a "Splash Boats" ride (the classic merge, to make the drop steeper.) However, I'm having two problems... First, this guide http://www.coasterforce.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9657 tells me to set the launch speed of the splash boats to 5. But for some reason it won't go higher than 4. Also, when I get to the actual log flume track and want to lower the "Alternative color scheme 1" part 8cars stops responding and shuts down. I'm sure I'm following the guide. I've tried both 8cars 1.21, 1.31 and 1.32 and no one works. I'm running RCT2 Triple Thrill on a Windows 7. So, this may be a noob question, but what am I doing wrong? SCR16.BMP The merge.
  8. I went to Noah's Ark a couple of days ago, and the park was PACKED. 30-60 minute waits for the big slides... Got on all the major ones though, except Scorpion's Tail. The wait started right before the 60 minute sign, so I joined. 35 minutes later, I am at the freakin' 45 minute sign - that's where I left queue. (I have never done that before on any ride, btw.) The capacity of this thing is IDIOTIC for such a big park. It did look like fun, though... And as a side note, master blaster slides are AWESOME.
  9. Great photos! Some of them got a nice "old school feel" to them. Went to CP the for the first time a couple of weeks ago. MF is my no. 1, too. The airtime over the hills was seriously amazing. I was a bit underwhelmed with TTD (yeah, wierd) but Raptor was fantastic. Especially the pop of air right before the second wingover. Be sure to get a backseat!
  10. I'm visiting this place regularly so I'm pretty excited too. I have a feeling it's going to be heavily themed... And that black color looks great!
  11. I don't even analyze the clues... Don't care too much for them. Remember last year? "Gee, See, Aye." Yeah... Even still, it surely is great marketing.
  12. Those custom floorless trains are awesome. And so is the park, even though I'm not to fond of Undertaker's layout/name. The rest looks great as usual, though.
  13. I'm in the United States and only have my laptop with me, so I've gone back to RCT2 for a while. I'm a pretty much a noob so don't be too hard on me. I've only completed one "real" park before and that one was too crappy to submit, so yeah... SCR3.BMP Entrance plaza. SCR4.BMP The originally named "Looping Blitz" (to be pronounced with a German accent.), pre-8cars and pre-supports Should I continue this park?
  14. Yeah, while there's some roughness in the bottom of the drops Colossos is still very smooth for a 75 mph woodie! I've ridden Big Loop with both trains... Honestly, the new trains don't do that much of a difference to me, I still find that the ride is pretty uncomfortable.
  15. I see, thanks for the information. Good we have the morning ERT!
  16. I read somewhere that mondays are the 2nd most crowded days at CP? Is that true? I'm getting ready for my trip on 8th-9th August - very excited, but I'm expecting it to be pretty crowded!
  17. Nice with an update from a great park. I agree that many Vekomas are underrated. I hated Big Loop last time i visited, but I nearly enjoyed Limit! I really don't see why SLC's are bashed that much, they have awesome layouts and great pacing - I guess it's the roughness and the fact they're cloned that make coaster enthusiasts hate them. Colossos is one of my favorites - the back seats are heavenly, but unfortunately the ride has gotten a bit rougher over the last few years.
  18. Can I have some methionylglutaminylarginyltyrosylglutamylserylleucyl phenylalanylalanylglutaminylleucyllysylglutamylarginyl lysylglutamylglycylalanylphenylalanylvalylprolylphenyl alanylvalylthreonylleucylglycylaspartylprolylglycylisol eucylglutamylglutaminylserylleucyllysylisoleucylaspartyl threonylleucylisoleucylglutamylalanylglycylalanylaspartyl alanylleucylglutamylleucylglycylisoleucylprolylphenyl alanylserylaspartylprolylleucylalanylaspartylglycylprolyl threonylisoleucylglutaminylasparaginylalanylthreonylleucyl arginylalanylphenylalanylalanylalanylglycylvalylthreonyl prolylalanylglutaminylcysteinylphenylalanylglutamyl methionylleucylalanylleucylisoleucylarginylglutaminyllysyl histidylprolylthreonylisoleucylprolylisoleucylglycylleucyl leucylmethionyltyrosylalanylasparaginylleucylvalylphenyl alanylasparaginyllysylglycylisoleucylaspartylglutamylphenyl alanyltyrosylalanylglutaminylcysteinylglutamyllysylvalyl glycylvalylaspartylserylvalylleucylvalylalanylaspartylvalyl prolylvalylglutaminylglutamylserylalanylprolylphenylalanyl arginylglutaminylalanylalanylleucylarginylhistidylasparaginyl valylalanylprolylisoleucylphenylalanylisoleucylcysteinyl prolylprolylaspartylalanylaspartylaspartylaspartylleucyl leucylarginylglutaminylisoleucylalanylseryltyrosylglycyl arginylglycyltyrosylthreonyltyrosylleucylleucylserylarginyl alanylglycylvalylthreonylglycylalanylglutamylasparaginyl arginylalanylalanylleucylprolylleucylasparaginylhistidyl leucylvalylalanyllysylleucyllysylglutamyltyrosylasparaginyl alanylalanylprolylprolylleucylglutaminylglycylphenylalanyl glycylisoleucylserylalanylprolylaspartylglutaminylvalyllysyl alanylalanylisoleucylaspartylalanylglycylalanylalanylglycyl alanylisoleucylserylglycylserylalanylisoleucylvalyllysylisol eucylisoleucylglutamylglutaminylhistidylasparaginylisoleucyl glutamylprolylglutamyllysylmethionylleucylalanylalanylleucyl lysylvalylphenylalanylvalylglutaminylprolylmethionyllysyl alanylalanylthreonylarginylserine, please?
  19. Wow, just wow. These were some amazing photos! Awesome. (Btw: Raptor REALLY needs a paint job)
  20. I don't know if it counts (you sit in a raft) but I went on a slide in Italy which is 42 metres/138 foot. It's called the Spacemaker. I'm pretty sure it still exists. I was about 9, so all I remember was a loooooong flight of stairs, and pretty insane speed for a waterslide... The video says 120 km/h. (75 mph.)
  21. Vertigo looks very good. My only complaint is the station which is very dark and blocky. Have you considered using CS for the station? The textures of the in-game walls are ... bad. Not your fault, though. I like the theming in Kid Kingdom, but you should rework Dragon Coaster - almost ALL of the turns go in the same direction! Except for that it's all looking pretty good so far.
  22. Great to see this is back. While there are several awesome Six Flags parks for RCT2, RCT3 has always needed some decent ones. I'm pretty sure that will happen now!
  23. I'm not sure if this has been brought up before, but I wonder why they didn't just slow the lift hill down. That thing is like 20 mph., wouldn't it just have been a lot cheaper if they'd slowed the train down at the top?
