Suggestions for Parks
FlyingScooter replied to timetrial3141592's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'd be inclined to say fire the bad ones and keep the good ones, but in the USA, I don't think it's that easy. Look at GL. they have mostly workers that drive there from Cleveland. (you can't get much hired help from the locals, Solon, Bainbridge to work there as it doesn't pay them enough. The Pizza Hut down the road from GL three years ago was hiring people at 9.75 an hour and still couldn't keep people, and that was over 4 bucks better than minimum.) Maybe parks need to offer some sort of incentive program. Get a compliment from a guest at guest relations, get a 5 or 10 buck bonus. -
Cat Found With it's Eyes Spray Painted Shut!
FlyingScooter replied to GMAN962's topic in Random, Random, Random
I'm not fond of cats. We have one, because my girlfriend has a say in things. We also have a Golden Retriever mix and a purebred Great Pyrenees. The dogs have never hurt the cat, which to me is amazing. It bothers me there's people out there that would intentionally hurt animals. Some seriously BAD karma... -Flying (I'm amazed no one has said: 'well, maybe the cat deserved it) Scooter -

TT got painted the same year as T-Hawk. Guess they got a good deal on those colors. Great pics of the park. Funny, they didn't wany you taking pics on the platform, but no problems taking pics of the cesspool of the old waterpark. What's really sad is, most of those water rides weren't even three years. What a waste. -

I've found CP to packed bigtime in August. Same for July. We always go during the Frightfest, and then only on sundays. . -
CLP must suffering from Clash-Should-I-Stay-or-should-i-go symplex. I wonder how much they paid to book the entertainement this time? A new board of 15, they decide to open, make an announcement that hits the press, and then change their minds a few days later. great. Why should anyone plan a weekend in the conneaut? I know of at least three people that had made reservations this weekend at a couple of the hotels near the park. (Parkside and the Irish cove, i think.) I hope they don't lose much when they cancel the reservations. my girlfriend and i were planning on going there saturday for our annual, 'drink on the boardwalk sunset thing and watch the pretty boats.', but i guess i can scratch that now. Sutterlin raised close to 60k himself, not to mention the token money. Is that all gone already?

That's seriously sad. Anyone watch the movie: Citizen X? After watching that movie, it doesn't surprise me a 14 yr old could go missing at a park and no one looks in the obvious place. The pump for the system was probably from an abandoned nuclear power station from the Ukraine. Russia does not have deaths in parks: That is a decadent Western phenomenon. (circa 1980's)

Ronnie James Dio will purchase the HolyLand Experience Amusement Park. This will coincide with yet another Classic Tour his Heaven and Hell album which came out over 20 years ago. "Let some other parks have Zepplin and Aerosmith. Who CAre's? Will those parks give you Hell? Will they assault you with both heavy metal music and endless scriptures bending your mind and body into absolute human fodder? We'll even have such great rides as Vekoma SLC's, Old Arrow corkscrews and even a few broken down rides to make you think you're at other parks." a PR rep was reported to have never said. It's heaven and Hell!!!!!! ARRRRRRRRRRR! -

Camperland across from the park is open, but good luck getting any service there. The Seasonals there are pretty ticked. -
I'm probably wrong for saying this, but don't parks have signs that say: Not responsible for lost or stolen articles. (yeah, i know we're talking about a little kid here, but it's the parents responsibility to watch them in the first place.) About leashes: I've wondered how those can be legal in the first place. From what I've seen with them, they're strangulation devices in waiting. Tie a rope around your kids neck or torso, you'll find yourself in court.
