  1. ^Based on that line, it must not seem too pointless to the Koreans.
  2. Glad to hear it confirmed that there actually will be tombstones and the scream incorporated throughout the ride!
  3. Thanks for the continuous updates, John. I love everything about this addition. It has definitely put Adventuredome on my must-do list when I visit Vegas.
  4. Kennywood
  5. Along those same lines, (though not a coaster) it's kind of strange that Noah's Ark in the Dells, a stand-alone water park, has a Hopkins Shute-the-Chutes ride. Though, really, I'm surprised this isn't more common.
  6. How can that possibly be safe?! Haha
  7. Loving the detail and accuracy so far. Keep up the good work!
  8. Those photos are definitely brochure-worthy.
  9. Question: I keep hearing that river king mine ride was a stand up at one point? Is that correct or was it replaced completely by river king mine ride?? I agree it takes up way to much space. Yep. Even the park realized how ridiculously strange and boring it was, so they had to find some way to try and spruce it up
  10. The Thanksgiving section is way way way overdue for a nice entryway/sign. I'm excited to see how it turns out.
  11. Happy New Years Eve Eve!
  12. While I can see where the NC17 rating could have come into play if a few cutaways hadn't been in place, I guess I don't really understand the point of that rating in the first place. The actual simulated sex scenes weren't very graphic--the more intense nudity came in a couple of "teasing" moments. If anything, I feel like general audience members would be more discomforted by the excessive drug usage rather than the almost-vagina-slippage and one quick glimpse at a fake semi-hard dick. But, eh, could just be me.
  13. Tornado
  14. Well, it did go upside down that one time... My recolection is that it only went 90 degrees. Nope. The boat completely "inverted" onto itself. That statement doesn't even make sense...and if it did, it would be wrong anyway. But I drove by KI today and Banshee looks great from the interstate! The first part of the batwing can be seen quite clearly, which I wasn't expecting.
  15. While that definitely seems like a good idea (heck, it worked well in Roller Coaster Tycoon), it seems like either this wasn't the plan these parks had in mind, or maybe those plans just never came through.
  16. Green
  17. I saw American Hustle last night and Wolf of Wallstreet tonight. I thought both were really fun and well-acted films, but I don't think either is really deserving of the Oscar. If anything, I thought Gravity was by far the most captivating of the contenders this year.
  18. Big Bad Wolf
  19. The last third of the film just killed it for me. Batman Begins worked as an origin story because it was understated, Man of Steel just went straight into "Superman saves the world" mode. Too many plot holes and nonsensical "twists". Action sequences we saw ten years ago in the third Matrix film, and the whole "send Amy Adams to the other side of the planet to help with that situation" just didn't work. Michael Shannon's Zod was the only good thing about that film. I hate seeing Man of Steel being compared to Batman Begins...because Begins is actually a good movie. I thought Man of Steel definitely had some redeeming qualities, but I felt like the producers (and everyone involved, I guess) wanted to separate this film so much from Superman Returns that they went from one extreme to the other, resulting in an overly-serious, bloated movie with action sequences that each lasted 10 minutes too long. 90 minutes into the film, I was looking for a conflict and a resolution. Instead, after that point, I received many more conflicts and a couple more "resolutions"...and it was all too much for me. Ah well. Maybe I'll like the sequel.
  20. I freaking love Christmas!
  21. Yes! But I'm the opposite and just love the feeling of being ripped up and around and down when sitting in the back left seat. Really cool and unique sensation. I'm really excited to ride Wild Eagle today and see how that style of first drop compares!
  22. I've actually been to Hershey twice and Great Bear is one of my favorite inverts because of its setting and unique sequence of elements...haha. While I think the last fourth of the ride is quite boring, I love the rest of it and I didn't feel like it was void of forces. Oh well. I believe the only custom invert that I have yet to ride in the US is Patriot. I'm a pretty big fan of the model.
  23. The thing is, the word forceless wasn't used when this conversation was initiated. Just less forceful than the Batman clones. I think it would be unfair (and incorrect) to consider any B&M invert "forceless."
  24. You just reminded me that I still have to see Mud! I followed that one throughout it's production and then completely forgot about it once it had been released. With Mud, Dallas Buyer's Club, and The Wolf of Wallstreet, Matthew Mcconaughey sure has had a good year in film.
