  1. A "good" hour at Millennium Force is around 1200 riders per hour. I assure you that Maverick's capacity is nowhere near 1200.
  2. Plus I heard the crew and Supervisor were really amazing...
  3. Interesting. It does seem like something different is going on there, but crew members have already started being hired for the "Matterhorn Triangle" (Matterhorn, Scrambler, Dodgem) for this season and I don't believe any of them have been informed of a 1/3 reduction in job responsibilities.
  4. The Power Surge is one of my favorite flat rides, so I hate to see it go, even with a nice replacement. Air Race rides certainly provide a more "controlled" experience than a Power Surge, which is the factor I like the most about the latter. Maybe Zamperla can deliver us a new one some day.
  5. Holiday World replacing Banshee (Falling Star) with the Hallowswings.
  6. ^These trains would be the same size as SheiKra's. I would absolutely love to see a dive machine added to CP's lineup. That's what I hoped we were getting in 2013. Dive machine's are pure fun, with a drop (or two) that pleases every time.
  7. Elissa, do you mean the early GCI's that originally ran with PTC's or all GCI's in general?
  8. ^Does your mom realize that Phantom's Revenge has some of the most intense moments on any coaster in the US? lol
  9. This was such a cool project. Thanks for sharing. I haven't been on this forum in years, but I will never forget how much I enjoyed your Hershey Hawaii park saga. You do some truly incredible work with RCT3. This was a great reminder of why I used to be so invested in these games!
  10. Steel Dragon 2000 is currently the only giga coaster with a true MCBR.
  11. ^No offense, but SFOT had the worst clientele of any park I've ever experienced. It was really, really awful. In fact, it was so bad that near the end of the night, a group of guests got into a fist fight with the Fast Lane Attendant at Texas Giant. To add to the mess, the controls operator was looking down at it and filling the guests in the station in with cuss-word-laden updates. Needless to say, we stopped by Guest Services on our way out.
  12. But it is the tallest and fastest looping coaster...maybe not the tallest and fastest inverting coaster, but the tallest and fastest coaster in which riders traverse a loop.
  13. Nice report! Worlds of Fun looks like a nice park. That close-up of Timber Wolf's track is pretty shocking to see, though. Millennium Force's wheels are "watered" in the station during the summer.
  14. I was close by the park today so I decided to take a little detour and see how Thunderbird looks in person. From outside the park, it looks absolutely massive and spectacular. This is going to be such a great addition to Holiday World. An inconveniently placed storage container blocked my view of the final elements. It's crazy how gigantic the coaster looks from outside the park.
  15. Should I expect New Years Day to be really crowded? I know many people will be off from work, but I'm wondering if the crowds will have dwindled by then.
  16. Ah...well, in that case...keep paying attention and don't get stapled!
  17. Plus, the bottom of the first drop is the only point on this ride where you'll be traveling at 95mph.
  18. The lift was so fast that, if you weren't paying attention, the transition from the station into the lift would staple you. Hard.
  19. I like it. I think it'll make it look more like a "building" and less like a "box."
  20. I love ending my night at Cedar Point watching Luminosity, then as soon as it's over, running over to Millennium Force and riding on one of the last trains of the night. CP is the only park I know of that keeps the lines open a few extra minutes after closing so that guests definitely have an opportunity to get in one last ride. That's probably one of my favorite procedures in the park.
  21. Is that inversion taller than GateKeeper?
  22. For 2015, we'll add seating to that area, in anticipation of something else taking that spot in 2016. You know, Holiday World really doesn't have a drop tower. Is Liberty Launch not good enough for 'ya? When did Liberty Launch become a drop tower?
  23. Beech Bend keeps making excellent additions. It's fun to watch this park grow from what was basically a large carnival to an established amusement park.
