  1. Ugh. Well, if the Florida property doesn't work out, I hereby volunteer my backyard as a back-up plan.
  2. What I don't understand is how Kingda Ka is so much more rough than Dragster. Of course Cedar Point has a top notch maintenance team (can't comment on Six Flags'), but if I'm not mistaken, Ka had a case of the shakes ever since it debuted. I also don't understand the (horrible) placement of the trim on the top hat...
  3. This is exactly how I feel. Sure, Xclerator's overbanks make it look like there's more going on there...but the ride is essentially over after the top hat. No one gets off that coaster and says, "That was so much fun! I loved the turns." Now if the world's largest loop had followed...that may have been a different story.
  4. Exterminator's largest drop is actually it's second one, too, so that makes 5 of Kennywood's coasters!
  5. How much is Canada's Wonderland's new dark ride costing? I could definitely see CP adding one soon, especially if the ride type has coaster-like capabilities.
  6. My favorite aspect of this picture is how you can tell the terrain drops off in the background. That'll look really cool once track construction resumes!
  7. This ride already looks amazing...and all there is is a turn!
  8. I absolutely love all of these ideas. Intamin and Busch Gardens Tampa are one step ahead of you on that drop tower, though!
  9. ^That's definitely cheating.
  10. How long does it usually take to construct a coaster of this caliber on fairly flat terrain?
  11. It's exciting to see Mack building more and more unique creations. I can't wait to see the layout of this!
  12. Basically any "standard model" coaster that isn't a Batman clone. You get what you pay for, I suppose. I'll also chime in for flying coasters. With the notable exception of the pretzel loop (or vertical loop on Vekomas), those things are complete and utter snooze fests. How could a collection of such major coasters be so boring? Plus there's the fact that they generally have the longest, slowest moving lines in their respective parks. In fact, I would go as far as to say that I prefer riding the Volares over the B&M's and the Vekomas. Sure they make me feel like I'm going to die...but at least I'll never fall asleep on one of them.
  13. ^...but Thunder Run was built in 1990...
  14. Wow, the pacing in that POV looks perfect. I may be a bit biased, but so far, this is by far the 2014 addition I'm looking forward to the most. Lightning Run > Banshee...just sayin'.
  15. I consider this a strange layout, especially for an Arrow coaster. What I find most interesting about Dragon's layout is that, from far off, it looks like a big, tangled, fun coaster...but once you follow the layout, it really looks quite boring.
  16. If I were to guess, I'd say a refurbished SLC in 2015 and a refurbished set of wooden coasters in 2016...
  17. A couple years ago I made my family take a few hours out of our Florida vacation to stop by Celebration Station and ride this thing... Pretty sad.
  18. I luuuuve how far away the finale is from the rest of the ride. It reminds me a lot of Mystery Mine's fantastic ending. How exactly are track misalignments like that fixed?
  19. ^See, I would have to totally disagree. I feel like Chang/Green Lantern is the least intense of all the stand-ups. I imagine that B&M built Mantis, realized that it was overly intense, lengthened all the transitions and increased the size of the elements a bit, and the product was Chang. For Riddler's Revenge, it seems as if they continued to improve upon that layout.
  20. I've always loved the look of Premier's older LIM launched coaster trains. I think it's a shame that they've switched to the boxy, generic-looking, 6-person car trains they use now.
  21. I just think they should rename it Batman.
  22. Now...do you think that crest would be trimmed?
  23. Powder Keg is one of my favorite coasters, so...
  24. I really just want a Bag-O-Crap...a big one.
