  1. Ohhhhh Beeeeeaaaammmmerrr! Cool design, but I kinda like the current style's lines. Hey, if they need 'em, they need 'em, so cool.
  2. My 4 foot, 2 year old, white tree with the built-in lights. It even got a skirt this year. The Steak-Out delivery guy, being a Trek fan, got a kick out of the Star Trek and Star Wars ornaments. Man, I hope I get the Future Enterprise, Space Snoopy and Beagle Scouts ornaments this year! For the record: Klingon Bird of Prey, Romulan Warbird, 2 Voyagers, Classic TV Show Enterprise, New Enterprise (after Generations), Rio Grande Shuttle Craft, Delta Flyer, Scorpion (?) Fighter, Defiant, Some other brown Trek ship with blue lights and a big ring in the middle Annakin Ep3 Starfighter, Naboo Star Fighter, Ep1 Queen's Ship, Ep4 Vader Tie Fighter, Ep1 Naboo Squid Underwater Craft NASA Space Shuttle What can I say? I dig the detail and love the lights. Was still wrapping gifts when I took the pic. Dad loves chocolate Twizzlers, that's one of his gifts.
  3. Dude, you didn't see the pictures he took down. Wow!
  4. Hey Will, Thanks for taking time to post all these pics. All the work is much appreciated.
  5. It's like a grab bag, only TPR does the grabbing for you and gives you the result. It could be cool things like a What's In A Brain DVD, or random so-so things like a napkin from Magic Mountain. Not knowing what you're in for is part of the fun. Not 100% sure here, but it sounded like people who bought Coasters in the Raw Volume one got a BoC if they posted a review of it. Something may have changed and I could be wrong here. Bottom line, the DVDs are the real prizes here, not necessarily the BoC.
  6. Well, now we know what Alabama Adventure's new ride for 2008 will be. Hey, it worked before didn't it?
  7. Upon re-reading the first post, I goofed. Thought this was a "contribute your avatars" thread verses a "I'll do custom avatars, tell me what you want." Sorry friend. I need to read more carefully and not step in on your creativity. No foul intended.
  8. This many days after, it was probably virus or flu rather than Bull Nog. There's much fo that going around now. Regardless, hope she feels better.
  9. Read the story. This is just plain dumb all around. 1. The girl's parents shouldn't have let her take a knife to school in the first place. 2. The teacher didn't need to call police. Take the knife and call the parents. 3. The police didn't need to haul the girl off in a squad car. A 10 year old girl isn't strong enough to do any damage to a full grown adult, unless she's trained in martial arts, and even then, she still couldn't do much damage. I truly marvel at the stupidity, paranoya, and lack of common sense in todays society. Several years ago, this story wouldn't have even been in the news because it's ridiculous. Good grief people, use your heads.
  10. Jahan, What a great update! It's cool to get this detailed a perspective on SFMM. Never been and know so little about it or the Santa Clarita area for that matter. You've gone a good thing and made many of us feel more connected to what's going on. Thanks!
  11. Here are a few avatars for anybody who's interested. If I get time over the break or later, I'll keep posting more here. jamesissocool, is this alright by you?
  12. A great actor. Saw him in a Carmen Miranda movie where they're both at some resort casino. He was pulling a con and she was chasing him through a crowded casino. His acting and her running in big platform shoes were both most impressive. I liked his Joker too.
  13. Ok, get ready for true style.... Black tank top Mossy Oak camo fleece pullover Grey and Maroon Dr. Pepper lounge pants Yes, my upper half will fade into the forrest foliage, while my lower half dissappears in the Dr. Pepper drink case. Altogether now.....YYYYEEEEEUUUUUCCCCKKKKK!
  14. December 19th 2007. Huntsville. Alabama. ...It arrived... Yep, I ordered Roller Coasters in the Raw Volume 1. The package from Alvey Land was still red hot from the smokin' fast turn-around from when I mailed my check (coffee stains and crappy folding job and all). I did a double take as I drove up to my flat. Oh yeah! With a steel mug of Big K cola I watched the Steelies gleefully. To keep it simple, some of my fav parts: * The eerie and hair-raising silence while cresting the top of Kingda Ka during the PoV. * Big Mike's (?) face while riding Kingda Ka * The AWESOME bonus coaster * The big yawn somebody let out on the Kumali lift hill in the PoV * Robbs subtle and eloquent musings on Ejanaika Yes friends, short of one of the big trips and hanging with the Alveys, these DVD's of their adventures are WELL worth the money. Stop what you're doing...right now...yes, put down the sandwich (it'll be fine, really) , put some clothes on or whatever and order these DVDs. They rock! Robb and Elissa, thank you for the ninja fast turn around and for the most honorable videos. I salute you.
  15. Most humerous and entertaining! Ok, best response I could come up with... Hey, have a great Christmas, a great trip, a great New Year, a very Merry Un-Birthday etc. etc. etc.
  16. An Aiptek DZO-V3T camcorder from where else? Target! Sure, it has some short-comings, but it does well. And Zyploc makes a convenient water resistant case.
  17. December 19th 2007. Huntsville. Alabama. ...It arrived... Yep, I ordered Roller Coasters in the Raw Volume 1 and Coaster Expedition 3. The package from Alvey Land was still red hot from the smokin' fast turn-around from when I mailed my check (coffee stains and crappy folding job and all). I did a double take as I drove up to my flat. Oh yeah! Roller Coasters in the Raw Volume 1 was first. With a steel mug of Big K cola I watched the Steelies gleefully. To keep it simple, some of my fav parts: * The eerie and hair-raising silence while cresting the top of Kingda Ka during the PoV. * Big Mike's (?) face while riding Kingda Ka * The AWESOME bonus coaster * The big yawn somebody let out on the Kumali lift hill in the PoV * Robbs subtle and eloquent musings on Ejanaika Coaster Expedition Volume 3 was next. Parks and coaster PoVs that are no longer with us among the other goodness on these disks. The Frog on-ride photo at DLR was a work of art. Hilarious! Yes friends, short of one of the big trips and hanging with the Alveys, these DVD's of their adventures are WELL worth the money. Stop what you're doing...right now...yes, put down the sandwich (it'll be fine, really) , put some clothes on or whatever and order these DVDs. They rock! Robb and Elissa, thank you for the ninja fast turn around and for the most honorable videos. I salute you. EDIT: Modified and posted part of the above in the Roller Coasters in the Raw Volume 1 thread. Thank you to the person 2 posts below me for the reminder . EDIT EDIT: Ooooo! I might be eligable for a TPR Bag o Crap. Nice! This day just gets better and better. First, seeing track go up at MOA, then getting the coaster DVDs, and now BoC elligibility. Somebody likes me today!
  18. It's 1 am here in Alabama and I just noticed the first section of track for Airbender. Pretty cool to see. Now 6:36 and some track in place. Here are the pics for posterity. Just lucked out and happen to catch them putting things up last night/this morning. Sticky Nicky and Looty who have been following along, this is for you. 2nd set of track in place. 1st set of track in place. Track off to the side.
  19. Being a fan of Nicholson's Joker, Ledger really did make it darker, scarier and more intense. His facial expressions alone made really made me stop and go "woa, this guy isn't just goofy kukoo, he's truly scary and unstable". I liked the intensity and the little nod to the batwing vs. joker on the street scene. Now I have to wonder, how will The Penguin come out and how much more evil, intense, and scary Scarecrow will be since he was a victim of his own nerve gas. This movie looks like it'd be worth a trip to the Monaco Theatre with the VIP seating, leather recliners, and full dinner service.
  20. A funny thing happened on the way to the coaster forum...a cooking forum broke out! I'm becoming a fan of the Cooking with Joe series. Dude, when I get over to Georgia this next summer, we have to meet up. Another great TR!
  21. That is a jem of a vid. Thanks for posting it.
  22. Don't forget the trampoline. Now I didn't say what KIND of beliefs. Nope, he's likely Chris...yep he is. Just read his response. "Having fun". So THAT's what they're calling it these days. Man, that was one article of clothing away from Party Hardcore.
  23. Yep. It was a dilly of a joke, but a tad jarring. Oy! too many more of these and I'll really be in a pickle. (this is usually the point where one of my friends says "Roll", as in "Do you Blow Up for that bad joke.")
  24. Chuck, I really got a charge out of Igor The Mixer. Haver read this several times and cracked up at that part every single one. Just brilliant! Thanks for putting this one up.
