  1. Lou, Your porn was too much for me. Had to go satisfy a craving. A small vid posted below. mcjaco, had a milkshake in your honor. Ok, now back to regular Lou programming. EDIT: My 600th post. Another milestone, another good thread. Ok, now really back to Lou and her awesome TR. steaknshake.zip I had part of Lou's meal from earlier in this thread and a milkshake. Good stuff.
  2. ^ That's a good idea and I'm all hungry. See you guys in a while.
  3. One of the hardest parts of life to accept, is that the times can and do change and that all things eventually pass back into time from whence the came. It's hard to see rides and parks we like go, especially, in some cases, under questionable circumstances. Despite feeling sad, and as difficult as it is, we must let go and move on so we can spend our precious time enjoying what's still around, and just living. Opryland will always be in my heart. It had it's time and place and I've painfully accepted that. Now I travel more and go have fun and try new things for the adventure. In a wierd way, it makes you appreciate what you have.
  4. ^ Assimilate it. What else? Sorry, couldn't resist that one.
  5. That's a cool looking rink, and to have a coaster over it (old or new) is awesome. Awww, I miss ice skating. Stupid knee... Regardless, I like it.
  6. The rumors are true. Vault Icee is GONE from Target! And Fishcamp (had aweseme seasoned crab legs and shrimp) is GONE! Truly, a dark day for humanity. Awww, that was my first experience with shrimp with the heads still on. Kinda gross, but was fun to pile up the heads so they faced the table next to ours and stared at people. Fishcamp bucket o Royal Red Shrimp. Nice of the cafe cashier to take his picture, though. Some dork in front of the Icee machine.
  7. I just can't understand why they didn't use Cockpit as the new TG name. Nighthawk sounds like a bad 80's band. Well, they could replace the Borg Ball with a big can of hairspray...and laser beams. Hmm...and you are on your back during parts of the ride, which would echo the tour groupie experience... (starts looking in closet for red leather pants and "Screamin for Vengence" t-shirt)
  8. Now that looked like a good time! Thanks for putting this one up.
  9. Sheer brilliance and cutting wit. Beautiful pics too.
  10. Man, this is just a great TR! The comical stories behind the photos are always so entertaining. Guess The Crotch = Hilarious! Cool points for that. Also made me think of Takahashi in Revenge of the Nerds.
  11. Just past the crane on the left side is a bit of track up on a support. Whatever else has been done is out of view. That's all at about 2 am. On a related note, Tiny Tim's "Living in the Sunlight, Loving in the Moonlight" is available on iTunes. That's one of the goofy, yet catchy songs played in one of the first couple seasons of SpongeBob. EDIT: Will post some pics while I'm up from time to time so you don't miss the changes, Kraken613.
  12. Rolling d6.....a 5. Cedar Fair does not blow up for their creative new names. Warm Dr. Pepper, anyone?
  13. Yes, Proslide and The Porcelain Goddess would be pleased. Glad Joe's doing so well in the restaurant biz too. Good work, as always.
  14. ^ A bit of an honor, perhaps. I just did it because it felt like what should be done. Something higher suggested I do this, so I followed that suggestion. Hope the pictures help the depot in whatever capacity.
  15. I remember the good ole days of common sense. People took responsibility for their actions, felt shame for not using their heads, and learned from their ignorance. Sadly, those days are gone, as is common sense.
  16. An interesting footnote here. When I talked to the curator, I asked if the depot would be interested in copies of my work. The lady said possibly and gave me an email to send sample pictures to. Got a positive reply today (Jan 2, 2008) wanting more pictures. Just sent off the next round. Since these folks are on a shoe string, I just donated the pictures for the public good. It'll be interesting to see the response and what becomes of my photo work. Hey, if my creative stuff can benefit whatever community I'm a part of, I'm all for that. Everybody wins in the long run. Will keep folks posted on what happens.
  17. Good morning! It's 5:30 am here in Huntsville and guess what I found? Who's sea blue supports have shown up today? Sponge Bob Square Pants.
  18. Bruno, that's great news! Looking forward to seeing those in the next while.
  19. + Cool points for creativity. That's awesome!
  20. My reason for buying it was to reproduce (well as close as you can given the circumstances) old and gone coasters and rides. So boarderline simulator for me. Here are some immediate examples if you haven't found any others. My YouTube Page http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=Platformz My TPR-Land thread in this forum http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39763 Bottom line, RCT3 Plat really is worth it. It's more than payed for itself the in close to a year I've had it.
  21. Miler Herschel / Bradley and Kay. Hey, who doesn't like a good kiddie coaster?
  22. Sounds like a great time and I'm with you guys in twisted spirit. I'll be "telecommuting" by watching various MM PoV's. Have fun and looking forward to the PTR.
  23. Wasn't there a similar discussion to this a couple months back? I think the short answer, at least for the 80's, was gimmick. It hadn't really been done and coasters like Rail Blazer (converted River King Mine Train) and EXT (converted Scream Roller corkscrew) didn't fair too well even though it was a crazy idea for the time. I had a lot of friends that rode KI King Cobra and KD Shockwave (which had Togo bicycle type seats verses whatever's on the B&Ms). They basically said, it felt a little wierd to stand up, but your manhood wasn't in danger, despite what one would think. Frankly, when I run my RCT3 version of King Cobra, apart from a slightly higher camera perspective, it really doesn't "feel" any different from riding, say, a sit down Schwartzkopf. You don't think, "hey, I'm riding a stand-up coaster" you just ride like normal. Hope that helps answer your question.
  24. ^ Thanks again Chuck. Igor just never ceases to make me grin. Awesome.
