  1. Yes, it's a doggone shame... Looty, thanks for the continued updates and it's a wonder I didn't see you today on the web cam. Well, not that I would've recognized you at only a few pixels in size, but, judging by the sun in the pics, I was watching then. Found some pics today of what the area used to look like before all the construction (I'd never seen it) and thought these would underscore how different everything is. Wow. What a difference. At the back to the left of the Ferris Wheel
  2. Had hoped this would be the Hollywood Dream in Japan (it's just way cool), but glad US is getting a new coaster. If they can get it worked into the skyline as well as HD, It'll add some excitement and draw. Besides, I'm a sucker for the coasters flying over the midway.
  3. ^ Big thanks! Just had time to skim the page you mentioned, but the what's there looks really great. Didn't even know this gem was out there. (I should have searched). Will check out the whole thing and reply soon. Yes, Bloomington is a must in the next couple years.
  4. Well spooken, and again, great pictures.
  5. We're all basically talking about the same thing (small chicken parts with sauce on them that taste good.) As for the picture posted above, that's one of many that popped up when I googled "Buffalo Wings". I did not read the attached blog article and since it came up in the search and the cuts of the nearby celery were small, and it looked like the drummettes I'd had eating wings before, it seemed a good idea to post that image in the spirit of helping a fellow TPR member out. For the record, the attached article calls them "Buffalo Drumsticks" and I was fooled by the size. Ok, I'm posting other pictures that should satisfy everyone's definition of Buffalo or Chicken wings and should help FLIP for reference. These should be good for the Alvey action figure art and get everybody back on topic.
  6. Glad you posted this very unique experience. I still don't quite know what to make of it, but I do respect it, and the landscaping and detail is very pretty. This seems like it would be a hit with the various ministries and youth groups who travel around the nation. Interesting.
  7. Oh no...there can NEVER be too many photos... Looks like we have another convert folks. For the rest of us who are several states away, (including confusion and delerium), thank you again for going out and getting these pics. It's much appreciated. Also, I'm putting my request for a Waterpark of America PTR. Well, if I'm already living vicariously, I'm going whole hog baby! Wooooooo! (relizes age). Oh. Hey! That lift hills really tall!
  8. Gorgeous hotel and fountains. Agreed. Great pics. What a beautiful place!
  9. Ooooh. So this isn't a typical free roaming amusement park, it's a guided tour/Christus Gardens sort of thing. Bummer. And I was looking forward to battling Satan's minions on the bumper cars...
  10. Good photos, but you should just be able to download the file, not have to go through some special client/go-between program thing that hogs memory and is ultimately useless. Oh well. Anyway sportsfans, construction is back on tonight. Any bets on what time the webcam will tank?
  11. ^ Here you go FLIP. Mmm...this makes me all hungry now...
  12. A couple short stories you might enjoy. Many years ago at Busch Gardens Europe, I was passing by Vikings Fury and the people on it were chanting "Tastes great! Less Filling!" ala the old beer commercial, while they were swinging back and forth. Eventually, a crowd gathered, just watching and laughing. I went to Six Flags over Georgia in high school with the family and the Looping Starship was running while we waited in the ticket line. It spun all the way around once, then again, then hung upside down for several seconds and everybody on the ride got really quiet. Just before it started to drop, one guys yells "oh no, not agaaaaaaaaiiiiiiinnnnnnn!" Cracked up everybody in line. Was kinda sad to see Looping Starship at SFoG go. It had charactor. Anyway, hope the stories are of interest to you and good luck with your info search.
  13. So, why did CW go with a mini-hyper again? That's just a monster! Yup, will gleefully take pics of the rest of you from the ground and get that elusive funnel cake credit...
  14. LOL! Thanks Terry for a really good laugh. Yes I shamelssly buy my Bawls and Booty at Target. But is that really so bad? (The energy drink and the Pirate's Booty puffed white cheddar corn snack, respectively.) Oh you better believed I washed out and kept that jem of a bottle. Even with a bawdy sense of humor, I try to keep at least a little decorum, especially with the younger eyes and ears around here. Besides, suggestive humor is way more fun than overtly obvious in my book. Dude! Where did you get that!?
  15. ^ LOL! That's the second central florida/childhood innocense thing that's been tainted today. Good point, and I'm gonna be laughing continuously next visit to WDW. Ok, back on topic and kidding aside, Aquatica really does look like it'll be a good time. I really want to try a bowl slide and this place has 2 and it has a nice polynesian theme to it. Now, I've just gotta scround up some cash for that Shamu hoodie...
  16. "Come forth and be absolved...of parking fees." "Ask and you shall receive...a frozen coke." "Be HEALED! of high admission costs and bad hamburgers" "Come Play Holier Than Thou on the Midway!" "See the World's Largest Collection Plate!" "Confessional: The Experience. Leave your guilt at the door..." "Try out new Leap of Faith...waterslide." "Guilt Trips conveniently located throughout the park." "In case of moral emergency, break glass to retrieve Bible. Quote liberally and thump repeatedly." Well, I'd go see it... DISCLAIMER - While kidding about some of the experiences one might have with various religious followings, I whole-heartedly respect people's faiths and their relationships with what the deem higher powers and the means to better themselves and their fellow human beings.
  17. ^ Dear Diary, This has been a most unusual and scarring day. Not only did I find out an international celebrity has had a questionable private life while living in the susnshine state, but that the city of tomorrow, had a hidden sexual agenda with all it's original attractions. Central Florida will never be the same for me or my innocent childhood memories. And you know what, Hamtaro? Tomorrow will be even better!
  18. A B&M Hollywood Dream would fit in there & show nicely near the entrance like Universal in Japan. Dude, I got trumped by Dora...
  19. ^ Nice! Good grief that vert drop is tall.
  20. No prob. Google Earth pic below. Search "Arrow Dynamics" in Utah and it'll take you to Clearfield where this pic is. S&S Arrow in Clearfield Utah
  21. oh no...there's nobody here like that...
  22. Just Madonna, although that IS a good alternative.
  23. Is this a help. EDIT: No. This is way off and Dora below just trumped me. Ay! Que lastima! But it's still a lovely satellite photo...
  24. S&S Bought out Arrow, but what's left is still in Utah. It's basically an industrial park. Couldn' make out where the Pipeline coaster test stand was when I looked at the sight on google earth. You may have better luck, but there just isn't much there.
  25. Ugh. I fell for it. (laughs at own gullability) Think they'll still sell the souvenir larger whips?
