  1. The "Ultimate" gets an upgrade in 2009, bringing the title of " World's longest coaster" back to England.
  2. This is the reaction to what Cedar Fair have done at GL in 2008 and beyond. Any news on the "Big Dipper" sale..?
  3. Nice pic's Rick, it seems to be a nice park which you could spend a couple of hours in a morning or afternoon.
  4. Very sad to hear anyone die on a coaster. Not the Park or the coaster's fault unless it is proven. This can happen to anyone at anytime, the guy might be fine riding something like KK or TTD, then he goes on a 100ft coaster and for some reason he has a heart attack. I was not sure of riding MF when I looked up from the station platform, the speed or height could of affected me in a certain way and lucky it had not. I had a mega rush and was buzzing for the rest of the morning when I got off.
  5. I ordered mine from CP Website, they are so quick on delivery, less than 5 days to travel to the UK. I also bought the "Magnum vs Maverick" T-Shirt.
  6. Nice photo's, I enjoyed RH at WW, it has a double up, some ejector drops and good . I can't wait to ride "Troy", I love the look of US type woodie twisters.
  7. Good for Vekoma to try out a new type of coaster. It could be as popular as the headbanging Boomerang. What a mad layout, seems to be a bit squashed though, a little more height and stretch the ride sideways can help to enjoy the ride. The station should be bigger to get it's capacity up to the normal amounts of people per hour.
  8. Last week I ordered a replica as an early Xmas present, today it arrived via UPS and I am very impressed with how good it looks. I would love to have a replica of "Beast" at KI or "Goliath" at Walibi World. At dusk
  9. I suggest Holland, Portugal and Germany, most of Europe speaks "English" Depends on what type of job you will be looking for. If you stay in England you will be tax'd so much, Diesel for cars is £1.10 a lire or £4.95 a gallon, I bought a bottle of "Beck" lager and a pint of diet coke from a local pub, costs £4.20. I would like to swap and move away from UK. You could move to Canada and you will not be far from all of the wonderful US parks.
  10. ACE publishes an annual calendar featuring outstanding full-color coaster photographs by our members and park photographers. We typically feature coasters that recently opened, ones with significant anniversaries, and ones at parks hosting upcoming or recent ACE events. Maverick Shivering Timbers Giant Dipper (Santa Cruz) Roar (Discovery Kingdom) Mind Bender (Georgia) Kentucky Rumbler Kirnu Medusa (Great Adventure) Cyclone (Coney Island) Tornado (Strickers) Olympia Looping Cyclone (New England)
  11. Dollywood has always been a place which I want to visit, you feel like you have been transported back to the old times. Love the lights esp the Big Blue and multi-coloured Trees..
  12. The Italian Job coaster should be renamed "BMW have killed the Mini name" I thought "Drop Zone" towers take their name from "The ride drops and the area round the tower is called a Zone"..
  13. Does the headrest give a warning to everyone to say how rough and beat up the coaster gives it's riders. Those type of headrests should be "banned" from any coaster trains / cars.
  14. 111. Reading Trip reports and seeing stunning pictures of rides I will never get to go on. 112. Latest news and gossip 113. Can't wait for a 2008/9 official calendar or next DVD.
  15. Blackpool claim their SLC is a world's 1st for the whole ride being built over water. They said it was an added 10 million pound attraction. Since they owned Pleasureland in Southport and already bought the SLC, only cost about 1-2 million to transfer the ride to BPB. A poor marketing advert and to name a coaster after a local adult "swingers" club makes it even more funny.
  16. Was the ride that bad or was it a maintenance nightmare to be SBNO for many years. Did it live up to it's name, give headaches n flashbacks.
  17. Only 2: King Cobra at Kings Island Black Hole at Alton Towers Since Geauga Lake is still around as a Water Park, you can't say the 3 woodies till they are scrapped or removed..
  18. Very poor, only 2: 17: Colossos - Heide Park - rode in 2005 25: Megafobia - Oakwood - rode in 1998 I've heard rumors that "Megafobia" has become rough and is being re-tracked for the 2008 season.
  19. I visited Bobbejaanland last year and loved the park, Very tidy and helpful staff. I'm sure the new owners will take great care and pride with Kennywood. They know so much American Park history is there and they will not disturb that. Just don't remove the "Whip" or the coasters..
  20. Nice to see a Park giving it's woodie some TLC.. the ride should be smoother for a couple more years. Someone stated "I would only go to Knotts if Ghostrider was re-tracked". Your views are very strong if you boy-cott a park just cos the woodie does not run as smooth as you want it to be.
  21. I have to add Tivoli to my planned visits for next year, it looks lovely..
  22. I knew some places of the Bronx are bad, but not at any Theme Park. Americans love their guns..
  23. I blame the parents as well, if the kids damaged anything, the parents can pay for its replacement.
  24. AK47 and a Tommy Gun rule the roost
