  1. The "Starliner" was the 1st wooden coaster in Florida and has recently been saved by CG, it has a lovely Out n Back layout designed by John C. Allen and I bet it gives a good dos-age of I wish the original station and manual brake could of been used, but I guess it was not safe enough to have the station on a curve due to all the Health n Safety restrictions of today. I'll love to see a layout like this somewhere in the UK, the wood painted white, track is red and flags and chaser lights on the lift-hill. Thank You CG for saving another special woody and hopefully I can get to Florida and ride this scream machine some-day.
  2. If the Parks said "Yes" to helping to preserve their coasters, what coaster would you donate money towards so it can be looked after to work in prim working condition, or give money to a society which can help save a SBNO coaster...? TPR should start a scheme so a coaster is looked after or saved like the "Big Dipper" at GL..
  3. What wooden coasters would you give some money towards so it can be saved and in the near future be restored back to full working condition. Examples: Screechin Eagle Big Dipper at GL Cyclone at WG Blue Streak at CLP
  4. Thanks for the POV and Off ride shot of Maverick. I can't wait for "RAW" POV's for El Toro and The Voyage.
  5. Great news about KI getting a B&M Hyper, it will work well within the forest to hide the course like "Beast". Nice layout. I'll have to pay a visit to the park in a few years time to test it out. "Screechin' Eagle" was very popular when it was running (I could of ridden it when I visited KI in 2000, I did not know about the park then) and in the top 20 coasters for a few years. Seems like the owner of LeSourdsville Lake Amusement Park is making sure the "Eagle" never gives rides again and have the coaster as timber wood for a bonfire. KI could offer a few millions $$$ to buy it from LeSourdsville Lake Amusement Park, get it re-tracked, restore the cars and replace some of the structure. Be good as new and everyone would be happy to have the "Eagle" back.. I'm sure the owner would want to sell it to "KI" and become a millionaire. Any updated pictures on how the "Eagle" looks today...
  6. Thanks for posting and showing the machines, I find "Pinball" an excellent hobby to relax after a hard day at work. My fav table to own / purchase would be "White Water". How did you get the lcd screens to show your name..?
  7. Nenesis Inferno, Thorpe Park on the 31st Oct.
  8. Banshee means: a banshee wails around a house if someone in the house is about to die. Legend has it that, for five great Gaelic families: the O'Gradys, the O'Neills, the O'Briens, the O'Connors, and the Kavanaghs, the lament would be sung by a fairy woman; having foresight, she would appear before the death and keen. When several banshees appeared at once, it indicated the death of someone great or holy.
  9. A few pic's and layout of the ride: http://www.piratland.dk/?PageID=441&Gallery=Piraten A "No Limits" POV of the ride http://www.bergogdalbane.no/
  10. Ordered my copy. Thank You for doing a "Raw" DVD. I may not be able to get round to ride these wonderful coasters in the flesh cos they about 5,000 miles away.
  11. Will you be doing a HD DVD or Blu Ray version of "Roller Coasters in the RAW" shot in High Def 1080P.
  12. Good luck with your quest. My B/f lost 5 stone (down from 18 to 13 stone) just by eating cans of tuna, a main meal and drinking water every day for a couple of months. Don't over feed yourself on choc's and sweet stuff, MD's and your be fine. Ride tons of coasters with high G's. Myself: i'm 6ft tall and weight 12.5 stone, don't know how much that is in lbs.
  13. I visit TPR most days, during worktime when not busy and after work to check for any updates. I 1st visit: Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys to see if there are any new coaster pic's and news. I may reply to some Threads. I also check the Random Threads for any updates.. If I have any news i will post it and add pictures. Normally checkout the whole 1st page of each thread to see what has been added. It's definitely one of the best forums I belong to, thank you Robb and everyone else who looks after it.
  14. I got problems view the videos as well, best to stick with youtube.com till they are sorted out. Why can't GG to add some Full HD pictures of their coasters.
  15. European Coaster Club did a feature in their magazine about this coaster last year, very nice layout. Hope to see a park purchase one soon and be fun to ride.
  16. Thorpe Park's Sky Swatter "Slammer" has a lot of downtime, is TP's one s the only working model at the moment which is not SBNO. I've just setup and registered my own business today, if i'm in the money in a few years time i'll know what rides to buy myself or donate to a local park. "Octopus", "Rock O Plane" or "Egg Wheel", even a wooden coaster. Hope Flashback gets saved, it is the only model of its type in the world so a very unique ride.
  17. Just the station was real, most of the coaster was CGI. the lift hill curves up like on a Schwarzkopf and "Olympic Looping"..
  18. I don't care what happens at Coney Island as long as the historic rides are saved and never scrapped.
  19. Devil's Flight looks an excellent ride if it was "real", at night the ride could have "red" spotlights shinning underneath so the whole structure looks like it's hovering and look very .. I enjoyed all 3 FD films, I was very surprised they passed for a 15 year rating in England. Can't wait for them to come out on HD DVD or Blu Ray to view that gore in 1080P
  20. The shove / boost of the train which you get when sitting near or in the front seats while going down hills n humps. is the 2nd best thing..
  21. If I could, I'll buy all 3 woodies, they do not deserve to be scrapped even if some of them are a crap ride. What could be a reason why parks do not buy "classic" woodies like the Big Dipper, is it because the "move" and re-build costs. CF must re-locate them to different parks, the more woodies saved the better. They do not want to be-come like "Blue Streak" at CLP and it will be so embarrassing to see them in a few years time when you visit the water-park and they are 1/2 falling down with weeds everywhere..
  22. I love "Plug n Play" woodies, Cedar Point could re-do MS Why not have a 100 degree vertical 1st drop for a wood, Euro-fighters are up to 97%.
  23. Nice TPR: the woodie looks nice, was it quite smooth..? X-Coaster could be much longer, it seems such a waste of design and energy to fall back into the station so quickly. I rode G-Force in March, that is a quick ride as well and needs to be longer so everyone enjoys the elements better. The new lapbars do not really work, as they get tigher the further you get round the circuit. Have normal straight "buzbars" with a seatbelt in the middle at the bottom to top.
  24. No need to credit a coaster, just ride them
  25. The coaster trains are from the "Cyclone" which used to operate at Southport.
