  1. If money was no problem and I owned a park, it would be based on the grounds of De Eftling in Holland and Dollywood. Both have outstanding theming and are located in woods. i'll buy SBNO woodies e.g Blue Streak from CLP, Screechin Eagle and if the owners would not sell them to me, I'll ask Gravity Group to create copies and add some long gone woodies: "Flyer Comet" from Whalom Park and "Wildcat" from Idora. Steel coasters by B&M inc flying with a double Pretzel Loop back to back, launched steel. Inverted, stand-up and a 5,000ft mine train with inter-locking lifts and helix's. Tons of flat rides, both old and new style, train, water and chair lifts rides, dark rides and a very scary ghost train with real actor's instead of animated or dolls.
  2. It's very sad when anyone, famous or not gets Cancer, Let's hope he can over come it and live a healty life.
  3. Microsoft have some tech demo HD 1080P short films, there is one called "Speed" where you ride Colossus at SFMM down the 1st drop. Robb's next DVD will be shot in very high Def HD
  4. On good days and when the temp is right "Roller" at BPB does have a very small amount of The only coaster which offers proper airtime in UK are "Megafobia" and "Speed". No coaster in England makes you lift / float out your seat.
  5. Classic Wood = Beast Prefabricated Track = Colossos at Heide Park Steel = Nemesis (due to being built in the ground).
  6. The old Big Dipper train has been repainted / fitted with seatbelts / lap dividers so they can be used on the "Roller Coaster". The do look nice but go 2 far with the Health n Safety rules, kills the fun of getting any
  7. Arnolds Park looks a lovely relaxing place, the coaster is fantastic in it's red n white paint, "Blue Streak" would fit into this park if CLP ever dies.
  8. I had 9 hours last night, still feel tired at work though
  9. I've been on it about 10 years ago, it was mighty rough but fun. The 1st 1/2 of the ride is ok and not 2 exciting, the 2nd 1/2 is where it goes mad, dives into the woods and you smack your knees into the side of the cars or seat dividers. Great ride, hope the Park can improve the roughness and get some somewhere along the track. i've heard it might get extended to reclaim the "Worlds longest coaster".
  10. WOW, the The Comet at Cascade Park looks great and I bet "Night-time" rides were amazing. I wish more "woodies" were built in thick forests so its difficult to see where the track goes.
  11. Some lovely picturesd of "C" at MM, why was the coaster re-profiled and does not race anymore. Can it still race in 2008 if needed..?
  12. I have this as my desktop at the moment: Wish this car was avalible to buy, its so sexy
  13. Due to the repair's, the coaster may not open till June .I have heard that Amanda may be choosing the new colour as it might not be "white". I'll love to see it have "Glow in the dark" paint for it's track or structure.
  14. Clementon Amusement Park does not look that bad a park, i'm sure it's not like Thorpe Park with it's chewing gum and litter spread everywhere. Drayton Manor is getting worse since 2005.
  15. I own the following systems: PS3 360 Wii "Ultra" N64 Panasonic Q PSP DS Lite Gamecube PS2 I did have a PS1 but it burnt out when I kept doing the "Blue-tac" trick to play imported games. I have " Thrill Kill" game on Beta version, it was cool playing on the PS1.
  16. Type of extensive repairs on the "WIld Mouse" are: The metal brackets beneath the track are being replaced, and in doing so, it appeared that a lot more repair was needed to the rest of the ride than first though.
  17. A PC game called "Second Life" is like WOW, you can go anywhere and do anything, You can buy land and build your own Theme and Water Parks. I have a 1,500ft long waterslide, vertical drops, cork screws as it snakes in and out of the mountain-side to the swimming pool below. I meet other players from all over the world, some have even asked if they can meet me in "real life".
  18. I'm playing Fonza 2 on 360 at the moment, A few cars in my collection
  19. I played "Oblivion" for PS3, is this simular to WOW..
  20. Keep in mind that other than the fact that there is a ticking clock… everything else is just speculation right now. For all we know the park may have another 10 years left on their lease… or they could already be in some kind of overtime extension where the fees grow higher and higher each additional year.
  21. I can imagine any Theme Park can get quite busy on it's 1st day of a new season and I would want to see most of the rides open. Has TP got worse since it's new owners took over..? I think so. "Queues" are a Trademark of England and they will get longer due to management of the parks not bothering with customer service or from anyone complaining. Welcome to a new age of Theme Parks, " You Q for most of the day and only get 1 ride of a few mins on each coaster for £32 per head".
  22. The greatest ever "Wild Mouse" is still being worked on and looked after. I have heard reports it might not be re-opened until June. I'll keep you updated on this "brutal" but fun ride. Enjoy the pic's taken Jan / Early Feb.
  23. The demolition operation of the track of the wooden coaster Sierra Tonante, one of the leading attractions of Mirabilandia, has begun for few days. "It was a difficult decision, pondered after many days of due consideration – says Claudio Bertozzi, managing director of the park – and we hoped till the end to find another solution for that attraction, that is in the heart not only of the guests but also of all of us". "Our engineers checked and considered the attraction with great attention, trying to give solutions in order to conform Sierra Tonante to the new provisions. Unfortunately the rollercoaster needed extraordinary repairs with costs so high that we could nearly build a new big attraction. And what's more these repairs, besides the huge cost, needed a lot of months to be done and consequently the impossibility to open the attraction during this season". Bertozzi says "Unfortunately 0 possibilities to have the attraction working for the 2008 season. As matters stand, after consultations with Parques Reunidos we decided to demolish Sierra Tonante and to substitute it with the great novelty for the 2009 season. The best solution seemed to be a great steel rollercoaster that can reach the same target. No loop that could frighten a part of the guests, but at the same time some height and speed to satisfy the "adrenaline lovers". In these days we are checking with some firms the exact characteristics of that coaster, such as dimension and track, but the definition given 2 weeks ago to Parksmania.it – megacoaster – means that it will be a great coaster, but we don't know if it is more or less tall as Katun. Surely we want to realize an attraction with a great impact on the park skyline, and on the Italian and European history of amusement parks". The works will begin in short time, just after the demolition of Sierra Tonante, as Giovanni Scafoglio, P. R. manager of Mirabilandia, says "We think to keep a small part of the track of the great wooden coaster. In a part of that area the new coaster will be built and it will continue for hundreds of metres inside a new area. The rest of the area occupied by Sierra Tonante will be used to enlarge Bimbopoli (children area)". After these statements the construction of the new coaster will begin just after the closing of the 2008 season. With Sierra Tonante an important piece of Mirabilandia's history finishes, but the prospects for the future are bright with the opening of the great novelty RESET, scheduled between the end of May and the beginning of June 2008.
