  1. ^ Has employment 'issues'. < Didn't even know that there was a Shamu at BGE \/ Is rollin' wit hiz homies...
  2. As with so many of the stranger comments made around the internet, (especially by younger people) I'm not waiting for an explanation. He doesn't even say where he's from...
  3. The rights agreement between Disney and Tim Burton is probably pretty sticky. I don't think a second standalone version of the Holiday Haunted Mansion is the way to go, either. A completely new, different Nightmare Before Christmas attraction would be an excellent idea. Now, what should it be?
  4. Champagne for my Real Friends, Real Pain for my Sham Friends Fall Out Boy
  5. Wow, The gauntlet was thrown. Now if the cook-off can't be at a TPR BBQ, how and when can it happen?
  6. Foghorn Leghorn Why don't I like Bananas?
  7. I finally saw this at TDL this past winter. It really was quite impressive how they were able to convert the ride from the 'standard' version to the Holiday version. I don't think it would be as special if it was that way all the time though. Also, the Disney pursits would go ape$#!t if HH was converted permanently!
  8. Notes: Darren, Duane told me that park had closed. No worries about not knowing how to get there! I made it, but I missed the credits, too! Jonny, Elissa's right about not too much changing since 2004. I'd like to add a couple minor changes around the nation: One less Zamperla powered coaster in Nagoya, a different new one elsewhere in Aichi. Possibly new coaster at Sega Joypolis in Odaiba (Tokyo). Tower of Terror and Raging Spirits added to DisneySea (or was RS there yet when you were here in '04?) Tobu Zoo isn't a huge thrill park, but it has an outstanding woodie and a few other cool rides, like a looping mouse! The rest of the parks in the Tokyo area get small fast. Kanagawa only has the 2 Yokohama parks, Chiba only has kiddy rides outside of Disney. The next furthest 'thriller' park from Tokyo would require a shinkansen ride: Either Nasu Highland or Nagashima Spaland. Either park can be done easily in a day trip from Tokyo.
  9. I don't think Will is done posting pictures! I was with him a couple days in the trip and we must have seen a dozen DDR machines at Yarmouth!
  10. I'm not a big fan of this coaster. Hopefully this triggers something to fix all the problems with this ride. If it can't be improved, then perhaps the space can be better used for a new ride or two.
  11. Comments: Beautiful photography! That shot of Speed explains the uber-forceful air on that hill! I didn't get to watch a boat splash on Hydro from anywhere but in the queue. Now I see why I was so soaked when I got off! WTH is faffing?
  12. ^ DUDE! Is that a guinea pig doing a 'crane kick'? Oh, BTW, I think the control is similar to the S&S/Arrow method of spin control, but using 'box' track that changes thickness instead of double-paired rails.
  13. I just read an article on the possible 6FMM sale, and thought this was interesting: Um, where is the petting zoo? (I also didn't know the carousel was that old!)
  14. ^ I did notice that acting ability seemed almost as valuable a talent as footwork when watching some matches this year...
  15. 87 days left on this g-d forsaken ship!
  16. I hate when supervisors: Assign tasking and give a deadline, then get angry when they promise earlier results and get mad when you don't meet the 'new' deadline. Assign tasking, knowing it will be pointless when the entire mission is subject to change 3 time on zero notice in a 24 hour period. Promise answers to questions to higher-ups, then pass the question down instead of finding the answers themselves.
  17. Never mind. Sounds like yet another controversial match in this year's tourney. Was this particularly poorly called set of matches, or is there always this much noise about bad calls in World Cup matches?
  18. What a weird set of stats! 83 feet high and 465 feet of track and a top speed of 27 MPH? Is it a LIM launched kiddy coaster? 27 mph doesn't sound like a fast enough launch to get 83 feet in the air, either. I can't wait to see more on this just to make sense of those numbers!
  19. Someone asked what the big fin sticking up from the trains are for. (Where the X's are on X.) The flat gear that is part of the rotation mechanism slides up inside that cover when the train rotates. It's purely decorative covering so you aren't looking at the gear teeth. Although it would keep water out of the mechanism while the train is right side up, too.
  20. ^^ Probably a first in the UK, but they do that kind of stuff all the time here in Japan. My favorite is a segment where a woman does movie reviews while they do alll sorts of stuff to mess with her. She freaked badly on Bandit and didn't come close to getting the reviews done. Another segment involved a local boy band on Fujiyama. They generally did fine, but one guy looked like he might have wet his pants. I've seen a few other bits as well, and this sort of thing is on the tube way too often. Japanese TV really is weirder than you can even imagine.
  21. Finger lickin' good shoe! Bye Bye!
  22. ... maybe YES. Is coasterbuzz36763 s*cking up to the mods?
  23. Very strange, hearing for the first time: ...Baby One More Time Fountains of Wayne
  24. Hula hoops are the new slinky! What is the capitol of Nova Scotia?
