What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
rollermonkey replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I had a very busy day today. I started at Drievliet, 1000-1045. (489-492) Moved over to Efteling, 1200-1400. (493-496) Finished up with most of Bobbejaanlaand, 1530-1730 (497-502) Number 500 was Typhoon, and I got two more rides on it just before closing. Tomorrow, I'll get the other side of Speedy Bob, then El Rio, and I'll have ridden everything there, so I can move over to Walibi Belgium by 1200! -

Er, I was there today between 12 and 3, the tracks were above water again. Only the floating section was under water. I'm not able to post pictures for a while, though. -

I'm in Delft, NL. What the heck's a Delft? -
I need to order one of these to see if you were able to completely photoshop and edit me out of your day at Nasu! Serously, when I get home, I'll get this and check what I still need to complete my collection. I think that with the B2G1F deal, that I'll be current, complete and up-to date, including the Affiliate label stuff. I need to grab a T while I still can, too! See you Friday, Robb!

Aw, crud. I'm going to be there tomorrow. I guess that I'll get some off-ride video if it's testing, but that's just going to depress me. I won't be able to post it for a while though. -

FlipDude, Whitewater Landing (A flume, I think an Arrow one.) gave it's life for this new attraction. The station was kept, and it is believed that it will be the station for the new attraction. -

Waffles, French Toast, Pancakes, Donuts and Pastries all are outstanding selections, but for my money, gimme some Eggs Benedict! -
Theme Park Review Mobile!
rollermonkey replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well, now that I'm infront of a keyboard... I was able to access a lot of good stuff from my mobile, post two messages, and read a little stuff. The only problems I noticed were that I couldn't tell what threads had posts I hadn't read, and I didn't notice an option to edit my posts. I am sure it's a work in progres, and I can't wait for it to go 'live'. -

Photo TR: Matty heads to Wrigley Field
rollermonkey replied to mcjaco's topic in Random, Random, Random
Cool to see pics of one of the most hallowed halls of baseball. I'm moving to Chicagoland later this year, how hard is it to get tickets to Wrigley? I'll gladly see games there, but I'll never visit the Evil Empire, regardless of it's history! (Another BoSox fan, right here!) -
What Was The Last Non-Alcoholic Beverage You Drank?
rollermonkey replied to Blue0ctane's topic in Random, Random, Random
The other day my doorbell rang, so I went down to see who it was. There was a guy standing there, wearing a suit and holding a gift-wrapped package. He was a little surprised to see a foreigner answer the door, but he jumped into a schpiel in Japanese. I have no idea what he said. He gave me his business card which told me he was from Yakult, a beverage company here in Japan. We went back and forth a bit and I still don't know what he wanted. My neighbor to the back of my house is a Yakult distribution point, so I figured it was somehow related to that. My next-door neighbor had their house ripped down and replaced by a 6-story building, and I got a box of cookies and stationary from that, so I figured something similar must be going on. ANYHOW! The guy gave me the gift, which weighed about 10 pounds. I threw it on the kitchen table with the card, and I figured I'd let my wife figure it out. It seems that Yakult has a new drink. Introducing: Thorpedo That Ian Thorpe guy from the last summer olympics has got his name put on a Japanese sports drink? Here's the pictures: (It tastes like watered down Gatorade, and I have two cases to drink.) Look! There's Ian Thorpe! Rgight above the nutritional data I can't read! I have no clue what's up with this. -
Most ride ops on one coaster?
rollermonkey replied to jALIg's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I thought six person operation for Slope Shooter last weekend was pretty excessive! (2 passenger cars!) They had: One guy assisting loading. One guy assisting unloading. One guy at the front of the car holding it in place during loading. One guy at the foot of the chain lift guiding the cars to the lift. One guy taking tickets and "being the brakes." One ride supervisor. The load / unload guys also pushed the cars out of the station towards the lift. I'll have the video of this VERY unusual coaster up later today. -
Speak for yourself, Robb! I'm outie in 26 hours! Thanks! Stand by for more pics, vids etc, from the UK than you can possibly stand! Guy, I don't think the number is classified: 53 Don, are you going to be in Sweded/Norway at the same time as us? Cool! See you there dude! Say Hi to Monica for me. Or can I do it myself?
