  1. ^Red is a good choice for the train in your drawing. It will disguise the blood from the riders' heads as they explode. Suggested name: Aneurism: The Ride! Anton (Schwartzkopf) wanted to do a figure-8 loop, but never did it for the same reason: The speeds required to complete the element would subject the riders to undesirable forces levels. The 'bent-Cuban-eight' was as close to it as he could get, and that was just recently realized in G-force at Drayton Manor.
  2. Dodonpa regularly has three plus hour waits. Japanese people don't cut lines, and they don't complain about waiting for rides. (Check out TDL and TDS on a Sunday for confirmation.) It's a difference in the culture. I've gotten used to waiting for US holidays to visit parks, or I go on Saturday when everyone else is still in work or school. Yeah, six day work weeks and six day school weeks. Oh, and 'Summer Break' is 4 weeks in August. Think about these things, kiddo! EDIT: It's pouring, but it's supposed to clear up tonight. I'll be up to the Q tomorrow, even if it's raining. Sorry!
  3. Liseberg Bananana at Liseberg. (Of course!) #572 Next is presently unknown, as North Korean antics are playing havoc with my planning.
  4. Speed Monster, Tysenfrynd, first element. (Or however you spell the park's name.) Rode it a few days ago with the TPR UK Trip Add-on crew.
  5. OK, good. I'm not crazy, because I thought the exact same thing!
  6. Yeah! Blackpool kicks @$$! Thanks for not being mad about my whorishness, too! (And it got me credits that Elissa doesn't have, yet.)
  7. I'll be there tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll get testing video, as well as shots of the final 100 feet of track that weren't there last time.
  8. I'm a nonfan of the standard Arrow Corkscrews, but the one at Toshimaen seems to be a bit worse than the rest.
  9. Er, Joe, the stock took a pretty sizable dive on this announcement. (It was practically a penny stock to begin with.) I don't think the investors like som of the ideas in this announcement, and I think that will be reflected in the actions that follow. I don't think MM is going anywhere, but it could be in for some type of rebranding, (a removal of the 6F name, but not actually sold.)
  10. Is the building that looks like a barn on top of one of the hills actually a second show building? When I was there a couple weeks back, there was a boat in there and workers were in and out of it all day.
  11. OMFG, the Balder stuff was the best part of the trip. From the goodies to the 'activities' to the 2+ hours of ERT, this was so worth the whole madness sequence to get there!
  12. I think Robb will have Southport up tonight or tomorrow. He was working on that up date on the bus for like 4+ hours today! Between R&E, they take hundreds of photos every day and have to select the ones that best sum up the day's experiences, are funny, look good, etc. Then crop, rotate, resize, as necessary, insert them into the pages, think up captions, and upload them. And that's all while riding herd on 40-50 freaks, dealing with hotels, parks and coaches! The updates will come, be patient!
  13. About 7 consecutive rerides (Including last train of the day) on Stealth at Thorpe Park. ERT is cool! (Thank you Robb and Elissa!)
  14. ^Is odder than he admits. \/Oddly obsessed with the Fairly Odd Coasters.
  15. Yes, but only when I wasn't living with a woman. I'm not THAT stupid! Do you like Weetabix?
  16. See you in the morning, Don and Monica!
  17. I should be out at Fuji-Q in about 10 days or so. I'm hoping that the circuit will be complete, and maybe if I (we) am really lucky, it will be testing, so we can get a glimpse of the train. Opening is in 34 days!
  18. They're meeting us in Sweden or Norway, too, I think...
  19. I've been hanging back a bit from posting, but now that we're a little more than halfway through, (and the real crazy days are about to start) I thought I'd mention how awesome, fun, and crazy this trip has been. The best part is meeting a bunch of like-minded people, and just sharing experiences. Most of all, though, thanks to Robb and Elissa for all the hard work that they've done to prepare and plan this trip. They've really come through with great ERT, great functions, great perks and great fun every day! For those of you who want to go on next years' trip (whatever it ends up being, nothing's official yet!) jump quick!
  20. I was able to stick my head up between the spines and take a photo up the first drop. (That pic's at RCDB.) That is some massive track.
  21. Gutterflower, you are the $hizzle!
  22. They didn't test at all while I was there today. The motorized repair/rescue cart was out and about in a fez places and the lift went up once while I was looking. I was too far away to film, though.
  23. Yes, she aaight Do you like waffles?
  24. Tonight I'm in Lichtaart. I've seen Monster and Zoom.
  25. You guys are NOT going to want to watch the telly, are you? Although you are going the 'good way' when it comes to jet lag. I woke up at 3AM yesterday and 4 today.
