  1. This new bathroom is circled in red. The next nearest ones are circled in yellow. Yeah, I'd say it was needed.
  2. Just to clarify the actual name of the Seaside Heights coaster that took a bath. Jet Star, a Schwarzkopf, was the coaster that occupied that spot for 30 years before being replaced by the piece of crap Miler that was Star Jet, which totally deserved the dip in the ocean.
  3. Yeah, bigger LOL to not getting the Flash Pass. Have fun getting on like 4-5 rides all day.
  4. Boldy will chime in here I'm sure, but you can't go wrong with any of the following: Geno's* (9th and Passyunk) Delassandro's (northeast) Steve's Prince of Steaks (few locations, though I'm pretty sure only the Center City one is open for the summer) Jim's (on South Street) Ishkabibble's (also on South Street) *Some may call it a tourist trap, but it's still the 2nd best cheesesteak I've ever had (whiz and American without), and I've been to all of the above. 1st best is White House in Atlantic City.
  5. It's also okay to agree with him. I have no stake in this fight, since I've never been to Universal (and likely never will), but yeah everything said about this ride sounds objectively "not that great." I don't think anyone is saying it's a "bad" ride, just that it's kinda mediocre, and in light of what it replaced, a disappointment.
  6. In my experience, parks don't get too crazy for 4th of July when its in the middle of the week (like it is this year). You may luck out and not need FL.
  7. Tornado at that Finnish park shares nothing with Volcano except the train design. It doesn't have an overly-complicated dual-launch that was Volcano's major problem.
  8. And the next time a major hurricane hits, it can get demolished just like SFNO. Even Disney can't stop mother nature.
  9. Great review Chuck! I was at the park on Saturday too, and caught the parade show down in Candy Apple Grove. It really impressed me, especially how long the parade route is, though the same song blaring over and over must get on employee's nerves. At least it was a catchy song. Also, Tomb Raider/The Crypt's fire effects were working. Can't remember the last time I'd seen that. It looks like the whole pool at the bottom is full of some sort of flammable liquid the way the flames were dancing on it. EDIT: YouTube is being a pain in the ass with rotating the video. Any thoughts?
  10. No, Eugene Mulvihill revolutionized (and basically invented) the water park industry. He also had a storied past with the law. Jeff Henry just took what Mulvihill did (both in the industry and his private life) to the extreme. And yes, you can "separate the product from the person," but you can't separate where your tourism dollars go. Some people chose not to support Henry's endeavors, and that's their right to do so, regardless of how "awesome" his parks were.
  11. I305 doesn't really have the same kind of violent ejector air that Twisted Timbers does, plus the insane speed helps hold them on your face.
  12. A-holes gonna be a-holes anywhere, it has nothing to do with Six Flags. Your location says Chicago; I can guarantee the city is more dangerous than the park. And why are you surprised it didn't make the news? Every little scuffle isn't news worthy. More power to you for going to other parks. When I was there in 2017, I found SFGAm quite charming compared to my local SF parks (SFA and SFGAdv), and thoroughly enjoyed more than just Whizzer.
  13. The price difference on Friday is only $20. I would definitely work on my friends and explain to them how the regular FL at $79 is a complete waste of money but the FL+ at $99 is totally worth it because the only rides you'll really need FL on are only on plus. Hell, if you financial situation allows it I'd offer to pay the difference for them. It will seriously make your day a hundred times better.
  14. By that logic, Kingda Ka is done for. Just think of it like the new version of their old ride rotation program where rides would only spend a few years at one park.
  15. If you're going for 2 days or more, it's worth it to splurge for the Platinum Pass. Assuming 3 total people for two days, traveling in one car, that's $814.80 buying the two-day ticket online, 3 regular FL passes each day, and one regular two-day parking. If you were to buy FL+ each day you're looking at $949.80. Conversely, 3 Platinum Passes would be $668.99, which includes parking, gets you early entry, and lets you buy FL Plus passes for the regular FL price at the park ($522 for 3 people both days). That comes out to $1,190.99 total. That's only $375 ($125 a person) more than the daily ticket option ($160 total/$53 a person more than the daily+FL Pus option), and you get all of the following benefits: -Discounts on Food. -FL+ at regular FL price (this is huge) -Access to the Water Park. -Early Entry both days. -The ability to add in a third day when you arrive or are leaving, even if a partial day, for $0. -You could go to other CF parks (Dorney is a 2 hour drive from almost anywhere in NJ and KD is a 3-4 hour drive) as much as you want for the rest of the season, including Haunt and Winterfest. Seems like a no-brainer to me unless this CP trip is your only amusement park trip all year and you don't care about not having skip-the-line on the rides that you will most need it on (seriously regular FL is a ripoff at this park, IMHO). Also, Coastermania is Friday, and admission to that is only $35 with a Platinum Pass ($80 without), and would get you 4 hours of ERT in the morning before opening and 3 hours after closing, free lunch, and some sort of cruise (?). ***EDIT*** If you're only going one day, Friday of Coastermania, then I'd say daily tickets might be the better option, but FL Plus is mandatory. Seriously the regular FL is a joke. I cannot stress this enough. Though, if you and your friends are club TPR members can swing being at the park from 7 AM to 1:30 AM, buying the Coastermania admission might be the better deal.
  16. Great Adventure has Superman and Green Lantern in Boardwalk, Bizarro in the Western section, and Joker and Harley Quinn along the Waterfront. Six Flags doesn't care.
  17. All three time's I've been to Vegas it was for drinking, shows, and nightclubs...none of those industries seem to be hurting.
  18. Your best bet would be to avoid the forum all together then....
  19. Just a suggestion, but Google doesn't have such nonsensical restrictions for Android, and even if they don't allow it on the store, you can always publish it independently.
  20. And yet, just a few days ago, another delay was announced...
  21. It's Six Flags. If there's an opportunity for paid product placement, there will be paid product placement.
  22. Dorney still has an octopus that runs.
  23. No, but it is safe to assume they'll never RMC Predator because it's at Darien Lake.
  24. Really? According to Wikipedia they're all defunct. Not talking about the Skywheel type, but the tilting type as pictured above.
