Awww, but I loved the dog fart coaster, it had it all over Tatsu. Maybe there should be a new forum, "post your meaningless, pointless, or done a thousand times before topic here" and any crap topics in other forum's get transferred there, we in Australia would call it a "sin bin". As punishment for repeat offenders, they get access to the sin bin forum only, for a period of time. I think it's possible in phbb, have sin bin posts not count in a member's post count.

I used to think it was Early Ride time like you get in the park early and ride.

The Credit Whoring Experience

If you are talking about Goliath Jr, you can't ride it unless you are under 54" tall, so this would be a holy grail of credit whoring. -
The Credit Whoring Experience

I want to know if any adults have managed to get on Goliath Jr at SFMM, you can't even accompany a kid on that one? I tried getting Pterandon Flyers but I was rejected at the gate, bummer, I actually wanted to ride that one even if it was just for the view. I've struck out on Goliath Jr, Gemini Jr, PF, and some unpronouncible ride at La Ronde. -
Australia's next coaster construction
downunder replied to rabid disney's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
For those of you confused this new update is about the rumoured Intamin Booster Bike (I believe it will be the first one for Intamin), and the construction site that has been established at Dreamworld for the new attraction. There is a separate update about the Intamin Halfpipe coaster that is going in at Wet and Wild. I'm going up to Queensland tomorrow, more Superman Escape loving: woo-hoo. -
I think Jaws is one of the best films ever made, so it gets my vote but I thought Jurassic Park was very good as well but Jaws is just a classic.

El Toro opening Vs May 29th
downunder replied to twisterbret's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
El Toro rules, I loved it, couldn't ride it enough. Donkey's are ok but the Bull is awesome. That first drop riding in the back is like one of those insane rollercoasters from the Simpsons. -

She's definitely singing the Theme Park Review anthem at the moment while grabbing her crotch. That raises an interesting point, should Theme Park Review have it's own theme song, smells like a new contest to me. -
High Tension, now that was an intense film. I liked the original Salem's Lot adaptation that was creepy. Someone mentioned Scanners, I can just imagine initial audience reaction when that guy's head blows up.

Geauga Lake is getting a hyper. Australia's Wonderland is re-opening. Six Flags is opening a new park. Robb Alvey is being stalked by Roseanne Barr. -

This ride looks sensational, I love the train design, I was hoping maverick would get this type of train. Should be an awesome ride in those outside front seats. I envy the Spain trip people. -

VIP tour programs at theme parks
downunder replied to kraxleRIDAH's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
We've got the Sunday with the TPR Midwest tour on August 12, and if I don't get in all the coasters I was going to go back for about 4 hours on the next day before I fly out. See how we go I guess. -
VIP tour programs at theme parks
downunder replied to kraxleRIDAH's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I live 12000 miles from the US so I have to maximise what I do at parks, a gold q-bot is good enough for me, for the parks that have them. I would consider a VIP thing for Cedar Point if it was my first time and I didn't know if I'm coming back. Given the limited time I have at King's Island this year I would consider it there because it is a park I am not likely to go back to. I wish they just had an all day front of line pass without a guide or any of the extras, though you may need the guide to help you fight off the other disgruntled patrons, maybe a complimentary stun gun would suffice. -

IMO, I find it extraordinary that this wasn't picked up in the design phase of the project. Personally, I thought element looked awesome so I am disappointed. -

I think the riders are pale because the excessive g-forces made all their blood go their feet. -
Cannibal Holocaust, that was damn nasty though I found it quite valid in terms of it's commentary on media and human nature, which I found surprising. The similiar Cannibal Ferox made me feel numb for days after. Lucio Fulci made some very atmospheric though not entirely logical horror films, and he also made the New York Ripper where the killer talks like Mickey Mouse and quacks like a duck, very strange. I saw the Descent last year, that was a really good horror movie.

I have a nightmare I wake up next to the chick from the Excorcist, damn I must have been drinking hard that night. Or I get to SFMM and X is closed, oh sorry that's real life exvery time I go there.

Poison Ivy Retheme
downunder replied to calcajun's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Do you mean Poison Ivy the movie, I vaguely remember it - Drew Barrymore going Leso, or was there a better display there before Catwoman (I can't remember haven't been to SFNE since 2005)? Agree with you wholeheartedly on the second statement. -

Catwoman is looking damn fine, such a sexy statue for a kid's ride. Do coasters with the name changed count as a new Jeff Johnson credit? -
Indiana Beach looks like so much fun, looking forward to going there with the TPR Trip. I was checking out their website the park looks awesome on their aerial shot.

Hot Spring Day @ Walibi World
downunder replied to DutchCoasterFan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Walibi World looks like a wet t-shirt fan's dream park - I like how the the water gun area seems to have the effect of making males completely forget about Goliath. -
Myrtle Beach Hurricane For Sale?
downunder replied to ElToroExtreme's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
And it cost them $6 million in 2000, down to an asking price of $300K, down to loose change for some souvineers post demolition - now that's what I call depreciation. Some interesting coasters on that site, a Pinfari Portable Inverted Coaster, that might be way scary. -
Is anybodys home park their favorite?
downunder replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Luna Park Sydney, not by a long shot, it's barely even a park. Pink visited on her day off last week, she seemed to like it. At least the aprk is on one of the best spots in the world. -
Cedar Point in late August?
downunder replied to Coasterbp's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Weekdays in the last week they are open in August (which becomes September) are pretty good for crowds, the Sunday before that week is not bad either. I went at this time in 2004 and 2005, and I rode everything as much as I wanted MF and TTD had empty rows in the loading bay on the quieter days.
