  1. I agree with the comments on the rather inappropriate name, it sounds like your getting Hulk Hogan and Pee Wee Herman turns up. Still the B & M batman clones are good coasters but surely they could have gone for something different for an invert, but they must have saved a bit on research and development costs by getting something off the shelf.
  2. I am really impressed with this one, Intamin's take on the Eurofighter design, this should accelerate the number of sign ups for the East Coast tour.
  3. If Kentucky Rumbler is any indication of GCI's current quality of output then they are getting an excellent addition to the park, KR was pure fun.
  4. Magic Mountain is certainly the wettest one I have been on, I may as well have swam the course.
  5. Bathwater by No Doubt, I wish Gwen was singing that about me.
  6. Time share Seminars - a real painful way to get cheap park tickets in Orlando, just pay the full price - lessoned learned, but these people must be stopped, they are like the scientologists of real estate.
  7. My Facebook is starting to turn into the ex-files - scary.
  8. Superbad was supergood Halloween 2007 was superbad
  9. No (I only rode it once in 2005) Is Robb Alvey a love child of Elvis (Costello or Presley, you decide)?
  10. I got tickets to Rage Against The Machine, it sold out in minutes.
  11. Dominator - Warner Bros Movie World Australia, cos I want it there Thunderhawk - Michigan's Adventure, poor Michigans Adventure Villain - bottom of lake erie Beaver Land Mine Ride - retain the name and send it to the playboy mansion Big Dipper - leave it there if possible Double Loop - Michigan's Adventure, crap is better than no coaster Head Spin - Michigan's Adventure, who else wants a boomerang? Raging Wolf Bobs - scattered into the wind after being reduced to ashes Texas Twister (Top Spin) - Cedar Point, another flat for me to be too busy riding the coasters to bother with Americana Ferris Wheel - Knott's Berry Farm, no, people might see Disneyland from the top and leave.
  12. This could be a really fun movie, Superbad was really really good. I'm sure there will be sighs of recognition from the theatres full of amusement park employees when it comes out.
  13. Six Flags Great America was only OK, I guess my opinion was based on that they had so many clones that I had been on before - Batman, Superman, Deja Vu, Ragin Cajun, Sprocket Rockets. Or inferior versions of coaster types I have been on elsewhere: Raging Bull (B & M hyper, neutered into absolute impotentency), Vertical Velocity (impulse), Demon (arrow looper), Iron Wolf (stand up, please make it stop). Probably a much better park if you haven't been to a lot of other parks. Only commenting on the rides alone, there were some very cool enthusiastic people working there, who were very good to us.
  14. I've got some interesting ones: I have a commerative cup from when Flashback was the brand new (well to SFMM) marquee ride at Magic Mountain in 1992, my first ever time in the USA. I have one of those massive long Top Thrill Dragster "cups" from when Dragster opened in 2003, I wonder how many stoners are using them as hash pipes now.
  15. Looks like a fun coaster, and a real first for a waterpark, maybe other waterparks will look to this as a means of differentiating themselves from their competitors and we will get some new interesting coaster designs. Will have to check this out when I am up there in December.
  16. The gold q-bot operates the same as the standard qbot except the time that it gives you to come back to ride is 75% less that the standard qbot. Using the gold qbot at great adventure I found that you could pretty much get on as soon as you scanned it or with only a few minutes wait. Worth it's weight in gold as far as I am concerned. The qbot system at new england is the older version where you have to scan the qbot at the ride (unless they have changed recently), Great America had the new version where you don't have to go to the ride and just book from a list on the qbot. This year you can book a qbot on the six flags site though I guess there is the risk that the day you booked is wet or Superman is down.
  17. I'd definitely get the gold q-bot if money is not an issue, which I think is $50 for one person, less for per head for more people. Basically this park is Superman, the other coasters are Ok but SROS is the bomb, unless you totally hate massive airtime, you'll want to ride SROS all day. If Superman is closed that day, don't bother. SFNE is probably the most pleasant SF park out of the 6 I have been too.
  18. Thought this would happen when they first brought the place, not surprised at all, personally I'm not fussed about it. Could have gone this year but I didn't bother. Yay, Michigan's Adventure might actually get a new coaster.
  19. So far in 2007 (new this year marked with *): Warner Bros Movie World (Australia) Sydney Royal Easter Show Coney Island* Holiday World* Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom* Beech Bend* Indiana Beach* Little Amerricka* Mt. Olympus* Riverview* Timberfalls* Six Flags Great America* Cedar Point Kennywood* Paramount Kings Island* Strickers Grove* Disneyland Magic Mountain Knott's Berry Farm
  20. I've only been on the Robin side and thought it was a really good ride, it's a real shame this one is coming down. Sounds like they'll put that rumoured indoor Batman coaster there. Robin seemed to run realtively well, but it probably wasn't practical to just keep one side. I've always wanted to ride that upside down tophat on the batman side.
  21. Or maybe XXX - the vin diesel coaster. X was a lot rougher in August (previously rode it Sept 2004), so I'm glad it's getting some loving because it is a ride the public wants to ride, and me too. And fixing those those diabolical load times, it was 1 train mid August with six minute dispatches at best.
  22. 1. Maverick (I know, it's only a 100 ft but I like it) 2. Top Thrill Dragster 3. Millennium Force 4. Magnum XL-200 5. Raptor 6. Wicked Twister 7. Gemini 8. Mantis 9. Blue Streak 10. Iron Dragon 11. Corkscrew 12. Wildcat 13. Disaster Transport 14. Mean Streak 15. Cedar Creek Mine Ride 16. Woodstocks Express No Jr Gemini credit unfortunately.
  23. We'll have to get Robb there to do the definitive POV video, those coasters look so good they should be on RCDB. Sounds like it was a real adventure, the TPR midwest trip should have gone there, the queues would have been horrible but I would have ran and got there first or got a gold flash pass.
  24. I'm starting to come to the conclusion that R & E know how to put on one kick ass trip, maybe just, looks like continued awesomeness following on from our great time on the midwest trip. Shame to hear about Euthenasia, and the Fuji Q, being an X lover (although it was pretty rough last month) I was hoping that the 4D concept would get a few more takers, maybe not. Fuji Q sounds like a must miss park.
