  1. Personally I don't care about credits but that's probably because I am 25 and really don't go overboard with the theme park stuff. I go to theme parks because I truly enjoy them and just go on the rides that I am really into. Personally I'm not the biggest fan of wooden coasters. At times I skip on them in favor of rides that might be the equivalent here in LA (like Scream or Deja Vu) because I love floorless coasters.
  2. I'll list the rides in order of importance.... - Xcelerator - Silver Bullet - Ghostrider - La Revolucion - Sierra Sidewinder - Boomerang - Montezuma's Revenge - Log Ride & Train Ride - Jaguar
  3. All I know is this was the ride that me and my ex were on last year that pretty much sealed the deal we would go on a week long vacation tour centered around Cedar Point and SFGA. Ahhh memories!
  4. It seems this year Knotts has been incredibly busy during Halloween Haunt. It is probably due to the amount of advertising they are doing. Last year Universal's Halloween stuff was overly advertised and this year Knotts decided to go overboard on trying to get people to come. Anyways some hints are below: -Buy your tickets online to try and avoid one of the many lines that you will be seeing for the rest of the night -Every ride and tons of mazes will be open but expect really long lines on everything -The maze by Ghostrider is definitely a must because it is technically two mazes. One maze's exit leads to another maze's entrance. -The last half four the park is pretty empty when it comes to the mazes, so be sure to stay late and run through as many as possible (but do expect the mazes to be pretty much half empty) -Try to eat beforehand, the food lines during Haunt are as bad as all the other lines. -Have some dollar bills handy for 3-D glasses and laser guns, they make the mazes better.
  5. I will be there for work Thursday & Friday. Then I have Saturday-Monday to do whatever I can including trips to SFNE, Fenway, Boston (the usual touristy stuff) and whatever else I can fit in. I'll look into Lake Compounce. I plan to drive Friday night as well to Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire. I am on a quest to visit all 50 states
  6. Hello everyone, I'll finally get to visit SFNE this weekend for the first time (and the general Boston area, Fenway Park woooo!) and I was wondering if anyone had any advice out there. A few things that popped into my heard were.... - Does SFNE have any sort of fast pass? - How long is the usual trip to SFNE to go on all the rides? Along with how busy is it this time of year? - What's the best food at the park? - Any other things I may want to be aware of? - Anything else a California boy should know about visiting a theme park in the East Coast this time a year? Thanks!
  7. I was wondering if there are any events or gatherings coming up in the Southern California area here at TPR or in general? The last event was that Six Flags gathering but unfortunately I couldn't make it. Anyways, just looking for any information. Thanks!
  8. Hello, Me and my GF go to theme parks about 2,3 times a month here in SoCal, but the problem is that we always go alone (rarely having anybody else to go with us). Basically we want some theme park friends! Basically we are two mid-20's people who refuse to grow up and visit theme parks as often as possible. I am a software engineer in the valley. My gf works at a bank in West LA. In the past year we picked up going to amusement parks at a ferocious rate. We've gone to Knotts/Magic 20+ times this year. Our vacation this year was getting a car in Ohio and driving to the better parks in the Northeast States like Cedar Point and SF Great Adventure. Anyways, we are just looking for some people to hang out with at the parks and probably anything else that comes up. We both work a ton of hours and work really hard, so amusement parks are our release. Theme Parks Visited In The Past Year: Six Flags Magic Mountain Knotts Berry Farm Cedar Point Geauga Lake Six Flags Great Adventure Dorney Park Six Flags Marine World Sea World (San Diego) Universal Studios Hollywood Raging Waters Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Plans For Next Year: Local Parks Cedar Point (Maverick looks too good!) Six Flags Great America (Is this the one in Chicago?) Either a Mid West/Texas (Schlitterbahn!) or a Florida Trip
