  1. Maybe I forgot to say that, but there was no problem with me doing that when I was there in January.
  2. Useless trivia - there's one of these in North Korea... (I've ridden all the others, and yes, they hurt).
  3. New for BaƱuls in 2011 is Vertical Anakonda - a portable version of the Intamin ZacSpin. Further reading: http://www.kirmesforum.de/fahrgeschaefte/20331-spanien-v-banuls-google-page-rankingaesentiert-vertical-anakonda-intamin-ag.html http://themepark.nl/ubb/ubbthreads.php/topics/1586343/vertical_anakonda_spanje.html Who's up for a trip to a Spanish fair then?
  4. Interesting. When I went to Vegas I actually decided to stay in the Sahara on the grounds that it had a monorail stop and was the cheapest. Don't remember much from that trip at all, but I'm sure I'd have remembered if the hotel was in any way unpleasant...
  5. I'd do Mirabilandia over Gardaland any day. As of last year the only good coaster in Gardaland was the oversized kiddie coaster "Ortobruco Tour". Hopefully the new B&M will change the pattern a bit, but that's still only one decent coaster. Mirabilandia, on the other hand, has iSpeed and Katun.
  6. Um... I have ridden Kingda Ka and Formula Rossa. Formula Rossa feels much faster at the end of the launch than Kingda Ka.
  7. ^ Maybe the old hardware was beyond economical repair?
  8. I'm thinking a day trip to Rome is in order...
  9. Have any of our Italian readers come across an opening date and/or hours for this place?
  10. Yeah, the Aqua Dive is rather damp. I'm not sure I'd have been as wet from a swimming pool.
  11. The Aqua Dive at EsselWorld. And yes, it's a splash into water. You expect to get slightly wet. However, this ride was considerably more drenching than Perilous Plunge/Hydro - not good when you consider the colour of the water
  12. I avoid getting involved in the politics. For me it's about the fun (and the Wacky Worms!)
  13. I don't know that you have to choose sides; I post occasionally to quite a few different forums (fora?); I'm also a paid up member of more than one club.
  14. We asked that question after missing it a second time. Apparently a new train has been ordered for it.
  15. Yeah, the best photo of the Nicco Park Cyclone is from the station: The water chute at Nicco isn't that wet, by the way; the one at Essel World, on the other hand......
  16. ^ Agreed. Taer it down!!!!@ For what it's worth, both credits were operating at Wonderland the day I was there. You didn't miss much though
  17. I'm was under the impression that the F1-X Eurofighter ended up at Belantis.
  18. Looking good. Another reason to go back to China.
  19. Lets be fair here; Blackpool is not a place you go for its class I wonder if they're going to continue to play the station tape that talks about the ride being the "tallest, fastest, and steepest roller coaster in the world!". Me, I've had my share of vertical reality thanks...
  20. Yes, but then there's Olympia Looping - where a train unloads, loads, and dispatches in about twenty-five seconds...
  21. Easiest way for the layman is to time the interval between trains. Lets say there's one train per minute - that's sixty per hour. Each train seats thirty-two, so that's 1920 per hour.
  22. Ugh. It'd be really nice if Fuji-Q would stop building new coasters that I want to ride. There are so many more enjoyable ways to spend holiday time in Japan...
  23. I wonder whether I can sneak a Singapore stopover on my next trip to Asia...
  24. When I did it I used a bus across the border - Mexicoches I think it was - and the return crossing was fairly efficient as I recall.
