Ferrari World Discussion Thread

Maybe I forgot to say that, but there was no problem with me doing that when I was there in January. -
The Volare Flying Coaster
Noxegon replied to Tmcdllr's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Useless trivia - there's one of these in North Korea... (I've ridden all the others, and yes, they hurt). -
New for BaƱuls in 2011 is Vertical Anakonda - a portable version of the Intamin ZacSpin. Gardaland or Mirabilandia
Noxegon replied to jjune4991's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'd do Mirabilandia over Gardaland any day. As of last year the only good coaster in Gardaland was the oversized kiddie coaster "Ortobruco Tour". Hopefully the new B&M will change the pattern a bit, but that's still only one decent coaster. Mirabilandia, on the other hand, has iSpeed and Katun. -
How much Faster/Taller can we get?
Noxegon replied to Sir Coaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Um... I have ridden Kingda Ka and Formula Rossa. Formula Rossa feels much faster at the end of the launch than Kingda Ka. -

I'm thinking a day trip to Rome is in order... -
New 2011: Rainbow Magicland Themepark (near Rome - Italy)
Noxegon replied to Ledgy's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Have any of our Italian readers come across an opening date and/or hours for this place? -
Yeah, the Aqua Dive is rather damp. I'm not sure I'd have been as wet from a swimming pool.

Suprising Soakings
Noxegon replied to Kingsislandfreak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The Aqua Dive at EsselWorld. And yes, it's a splash into water. You expect to get slightly wet. However, this ride was considerably more drenching than Perilous Plunge/Hydro - not good when you consider the colour of the water -

I avoid getting involved in the politics. For me it's about the fun (and the Wacky Worms!) -

I don't know that you have to choose sides; I post occasionally to quite a few different forums (fora?); I'm also a paid up member of more than one club. -

Photo TR: Robb & Elissa go to Dubai!
Noxegon replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
We asked that question after missing it a second time. Apparently a new train has been ordered for it. -
Yeah, the best photo of the Nicco Park Cyclone is from the station: The water chute at Nicco isn't that wet, by the way; the one at Essel World, on the other hand......

F1X Dubai - Premier Drifting Coaster Track?
Noxegon replied to dubaidave's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm was under the impression that the F1-X Eurofighter ended up at Belantis. -
Riders per Hour
Noxegon replied to CorkscrewFoley's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yes, but then there's Olympia Looping - where a train unloads, loads, and dispatches in about twenty-five seconds... -
Riders per Hour
Noxegon replied to CorkscrewFoley's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Easiest way for the layman is to time the interval between trains. Lets say there's one train per minute - that's sixty per hour. Each train seats thirty-two, so that's 1920 per hour. -
Fuji-Q Highlands Discussion Thread
Noxegon replied to Ed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Ugh. It'd be really nice if Fuji-Q would stop building new coasters that I want to ride. There are so many more enjoyable ways to spend holiday time in Japan... -
Universal Studios Singapore Discussion Thread
Noxegon replied to Adriel's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I wonder whether I can sneak a Singapore stopover on my next trip to Asia... -
When I did it I used a bus across the border - Mexicoches I think it was - and the return crossing was fairly efficient as I recall.
