  2. Just throwing in my €0.02... I've ridden just about all the B&Ms (see my previous photo TR), and as most people here will know I'm not afraid to say when a ride is dull, boring, crap, rough, etc. The day I rode OzIris, at the end of April, I thought it was well up there with the very best rides that B&M have built. It's interesting that the TPR group found otherwise. I think ernierocker has got it in one; something wasn't right that day. Hopefully the park will figure it out so that their star attraction can can claim the accolades it (IMHO) richly deserves.
  3. I do. The ride feel hasn't changed in any big way, though for me the change is kind of like adding white headphones to the Mona Lisa...
  4. This park is in Sicily, which, though part of Italy, is a separate island that you need to fly to. And I think I will be flying there next year...
  5. ...and a can of worms, for the coaster counters; this is an extension to an existing (refurbished) Wilde Maus, apparently one of the two once operated by Kinzler. New credit or not?
  6. Senzafiato is actually a near clone of Rita at Alton Towers, with the only difference being the top hat at the start. Shame you didn't get to ride it though; it's good fun. Grabs from Google Earth attached Rita Senzafiato
  7. The photos are now up: http://www.themeparks.ie/asia/starcity/index.htm
  8. Yeah, that was something else I was wondering about... When you exclude Butterflies and multi-tracked attractions (such as pairs of wild mice set side by side), is there any other park out there that has two versions of the same coaster? I can't think of one...
  9. I was at Star City (Manila, Philippines) this afternoon. I'm going to do a full photo album in due course, but until I get around to that I'd like to share a few shots of the Dragon Express kiddie coaster. Is this the best looking Big Apple in the entire multiverse?
  10. Yeah, agreed. Saw is a pile of manure. I think I'd be inclined to give best in the UK to Nemesis too, though I'd toss in an honourable mention for Stealth.
  11. ^ LOL! I'm looking forward to your views on the Lujan parks...
  12. As much as I hate to say it, Takabisha is far and away the best Eurofighter I've been on (awful park, fabulous ride).
  13. Has anyone other than Jeremy Reid ridden Jeremy Reid's coaster? I got the impression it wasn't open to others.
  14. John Ivers' rides are the exception to that, I think. Full circuit coasters, cars with up-stop wheels, and one of the two even has an inversion. But at the end of the day, my view is that it's your list; count whatever you like. That's the only rule that matters really.
  15. It is good news. Honestly, I don't think it'd be that hard to do. Schwarzkopf designs were fairly simple mechanically. If there's the will there's the way.
  16. I'm sorry to see it go, but lets face it; the earlier Schwarzkopf coasters are now at the end of their lifespan. There are only a handful of Schwarzkopfs older than the CP Wildcat still in operation.
  17. Rode it today. The bar has most definitely been raised. The ride is brilliant and beautifully themed. It may be my new favourite inverted coaster. Proper old school B&M.
  18. Not correct. There's another at Zoomarine in Italy.
  19. We do now: http://www.thorpepark.com/rides/rumba-rapids.aspx Separately, it is being reported tonight that there is now a £6 charge for riding in the front seat on Swarm...
  20. Do let me know what you find
  21. Europa Park is a beautifully themed family park, not an extreme thrill park. I'd argue that all its coasters are family rides really, and that's not to knock them in the slightest; they fit their target audience beautifully. Blue Fire is remarkably gentle given what it does. I'd argue that Euromir is probably the only intense coaster they have there, and then only if you end up going backwards in the fast bits
  22. I was there on Monday. The first drop is fabulous. The rest... a decent if not outstanding ride. Honestly, Wodan is to Wood what Silver Star is to Steel; it's a family coaster, not an extreme enthusiast coaster.
  23. Wallis's Wonderful Wriggling Wirral Wacky Worm
  24. Three weeks to go until I'm there... time seems to have slowed...
  25. I'm going to hold off going there again until next time a club visits. Those two wretched kiddie coasters are annoying me...
