  1. Aye, ideally you'll have a mental age of ten or less
  2. Well, we need to look at the demographic of trips. All I've got to work on was Korea but I put that at a broad guess of 60% USA, 40% European. On that basis I'd suggest 2:00pm PST, which is I think 9:00pm in the UK, 10:00pm in France/Scandi, and 7:00am in Australia so those should be able to join too if they want to. I've yet to whine; if you read my posts you'll see that. If you consider going to bed before 1:00am on a work night to be beauty sleep, well, I guess there's nothing more I can say to that. I don't think there's much to be gained by continuing this debate so this will be my last post on the topic. I'll just conclude by repeating what I've already said - I'll be there in spirit!
  3. Oh give me a break. It's hardly self centered to point out (not complain, point out) that a chosen time is in the middle of the night for an entire continent. I said I'd be there in spirit, and indeed I will be.
  4. Yegads, who peed in your coffee then? All I noted was that the chosen time eliminates everyone in Europe with a job, and given that some 40% of those in Korea were from that part of the world (including myself) then perhaps there might be a better time of day. There's no need to be so aggressive about it. Having said that, earlier in the day would eliminate all Australians, so perhaps it was a case of which is the lesser of two evils...!
  5. Robb, please don't forget that 5pm PST is 1am in the UK/Ireland and worse on the continent - in other words, not a runner on a work night. I'll be there in spirit though
  6. Robb and Elissa have eighty six parks in their list by my count, which means I *just* top them with this years list (including confirmed visits for November), though not by much... 7. Just put a few more galleries on ThemeParks.ie compiled thanks to Paris CDG airport having power supplies available. Just about to board my connecting flight back to Dublin...
  8. Well, I'm about 90% of the way home from Korea at this stage, currently "enjoying" a layover at Paris CDG. Some links: I've posted photo galleries from Kumdoriland, Lotte World, and Woobang Towerland on my album site, all compiled on the plane. More will follow. http://www.themeparks.ie/ I posted the link to trip reports already but just so its in the same place: http://www.bannister.org/coasters/trips/2007/ Thanks to Robb and Elissa for a great trip. Hopefully see you in China next year.
  9. Just a heads up folks; I'm posting Korea trip reports here: http://www.bannister.org/coasters/trips/2007/
  10. A brief wave to those of you on your way home as of tonight... I'm currently sitting in Paris CDG awaiting my flight to Korea to join the remainder of the mob. Only eleven hours in the air... urgh...
  11. Congrats Mike -- only 1500 or so to go... It gets harder as you go on though. Did #1066 last weekend, but have been slowing down of late; you end up having to go further and further afield for those elusive new credits. It gets a bit silly when you drive a five hour round trip for a Zamperla Mouse and a kiddie coaster... My list: http://www.bannister.org/coasters/order.htm
  12. Hmm, I think China might be what the doctor ordered...
  13. I'll be amazed if it's successful in the city that already houses Festival Gate. Just my €0.02...
  14. You may find that the cheapest way to get to Europe currently is to fly through Ireland. Aerlingus.com sells low fare seats to Dublin, and you can use Ryanair.com from there for ridiculously small amounts of money. Just watch out for the baggage regulations.
  15. You've done it; finally a TPR trip that, against my better judgment, I simply can't resist. See you in Seoul...
