  1. I dont understand what your Heide Park experience has to do with Magic Mountain, call me confused
  2. I always read that you can not marked flatrides at themeparks, might be true, but check out the video I made while on a fair in Frankfurt/Germany, with a little theatrics, music, dj interacting with the riders, a simple(honestly not to thrilling) ride can be a very amazing attraction. Now imagine this ride at the Gotham City part of Magic Mountain, heck, call it Gothemnater by all means, it would not only be a big draw, but would also have people who are to scared to ride just watch in aww and enjoy the show Plus a 7+min ridecycle aint to bad either
  3. Probably not, cause comedy supposed to be funny..
  4. In Germany right now, considering the state would even pay your rent in case you loose your job, I think it is save to assume that a homeless problem(like you would have in the U.S.) is not really an issue out here(of course you will find random homeless people out here like you would find in the Netherlands, but that has to do more with the mental state of a person) Your comment was just stupid and really not needed
  5. Aehm yeah, or maybe not! What a stupid comment
  6. Six Flags is NOT in "bankruptsy" anymore THIS would be awsome, honestly, the best idea I have ever read about on tpr
  7. Which is BS, of course TPR is not "illegal" in France unless your workplace has a filter or you selfimposed some filters on your own computer/phone
  8. This is Germany, a country that is very serious about accidents. Neither the park or any newspaper will be able to "spin" anything. Whatever happend, it will be disclosed and when the ride is ready to reopen, it will do so.
  9. From what I understand, he is preparing a lawsuit against Six Flags. Will he go thru with it? Who knows..
  10. No soccer reference yet? I know the British are a little down when it comes to the Worldcup, but I guess once you hit Germany, it will all change...
  11. Probably, it is the 50th Anniversary of Six Flags. Golden Marketing opportunity, the new management is probably just mixing it around a little Should be interesting.. What it means for SFMM, I have no idea. Mr Six Dancing Coaster for next year and nothing else would kinda be missing the point
  12. It has been added to absorb the screams and keep residents who are living nearby from complaining
  13. Gambling for money on the internet = Illegal Porn on the Internet = Legal Not sure what you dont understand
  14. They are just replacing the old kidssplash area at HH in the middle of the park. Flashback area has not been touched
  15. Does not matter what they charge. A seasonal park and a stadium with 8 homegames a year does not warrent a $300 Mill Parkinggarage. It would be just silly to think so
  16. Do you guys know how much a Parkinggarage actually costs? On average it will be $15000/per space http://www.vtpi.org/tca/tca0504.pdf Now build a garage that can hold 20000 cars and you end up with a pricetag of $300 Million, considering building codes in California are a lot tougher, the price will be even more Nobody is going to spent that $$$, so not really worth taking that option into consideration
  17. Great pictures, to bad it was such a busy day. Guess that means you have to come back to Magic Mountain asap
  18. I loooove this song, kinda becoming the summerhit 2010 in Europe. No clue what he is singing about(it's french), but the beat is dope
  19. For $3500 you can stay a weekend with me in Hollywood, have some fun and you would never know Mars exsisted in the first place(yeah, you can recover at my house aswell)
  20. If that clip plays in a loop on your hotel tv, I might actually want to go...
  21. I might use a different word, but you are right on target with your assumption
  22. This article is also very contradicting. They plan to spent $30 million on this project, yet had to ask the city to wave a $2100 permit fee to go forward with this project ] Yet they plan multiple hotels on site(What will these people do there?) Makes not much sense
  23. I spent Christmas 1989 in Titusville, the memories... oh yeah, there were none It is really not a great location and this "themed" experience sounds more like something that would have been a big hit in the 1950's
  24. I actually did one of these road trips a couple of years ago from L.A. to Brooklyn(highly recomend it, not only because of themeparks along the way, but it is quite one of these experiences you will think of for the rest of your life) Cedar Point was somewhat a dissapointment for me, maybe it was the bad weather aka it rained a lot and most of the rides were closed, but I was somehow not to impressed with the park itself. Only ride I really enjoyed and thought it was better when compared to a ride at SFMM was Raptor(even got to ride it in the rain), wow, quite a amazing experience MF was fun aswell, but we hade some rather rude operators working there, so the experience itself was not that "thrilling" In addition it comes down to the crowd aswell, maybe I am a L.A. snob , but hated waiting in lines there. The DJ's with there god awful music selections and people who should not dance(sorry) were a little much for me
  25. I would argue against that statement
