First of all, of course I made a joke about mountain xpress. We all know it was there in the 70's Second, Deluge would be something that no other themepark in California has. Huge potential to put a ok waterpark on the map. People would go crazy about it! You can advertise the first "water coaster" in So Cal, park will be jammed! Third, dont understand the argument that Magic Mountain needs a huge ride out front to pull in the people. It is not a boardwalk, where people leasury walk past it and see something that makes them enter the park. You dont go to Magic Mountain by "accident" , plus even if you think they need some big ride up front to advertise, X2 will do the job pretty much

Tony Mc Ewing said it was one of the most intense ride he has ever been on, this little coaster I guess will surprise some with an extra punch here and there -

For those of us who can not attend or are not located in L.A., remember it is media day, so all the L.A. Stations will be there. You can get live streaming all around the world(cause unfortunatly i am in germany right when termy opens ) from Fox 11 at www.myfoxla.com (they usually habe live remotes from 6 am on and a big one between 9-10am/might be different this year) not sure if knbc or abc 7 have live streamings on there websites aswell, just check on it in case you can not deal with Jillian Barbery for 3 hours, lol Quick edit because I was strolling around the official SFMM Website and found out that the name of the coaster is even longer now Terminator Salvation: The Ride presented by Jeep http://www.sixflags.com/magicMountain/rides/TerminatorSalvationTheRide.aspx -

Yeah it was out before but without the tag line at the end, so I guess this is the official one now. I like it! -

It probably has more to do with construction workers being all over the ride during the day, putting finishing touches on the exit ramps, pre show buildings, theming e.t.c. You can not run a coaster with people working all around the ride without putting them in danger, no matter how carefull one might be -

I loved Psyclone when it first opend, it was my favorite ride at the park. I was not the only one as the line usually went from the entrance thru the huge switchback(where Dejy Vu these days is) all the way up to the entrance of Roaring Rapids It was a great coaster first, especially the first drop. I am just hoping Tim Burkhard(?) or someone from Magic Mountain can at some point take a little time and post here and let us know in there opinion the reasons why the ride went to crab at some point -
No love for Viper? Which was the longest, tallest with most loops coaster and also (I think to this day) holds the record for tallest loop Also other records at SFMM were a little more impressive Colossus was not only the longest and tallest wooden coaster, but also the first one that had two drops exceeding 100 feet Revolution was the first successfull modern coaster that had a loop(prior attempts of a loop in the 1920's got you a visit with the emergancy room when you were lucky) It was also the longest coaster when it opend Ninja was the first inverted/fastest coaster on the westcoast Ridler is to this day the longest, tallest, with the most inversion stand up coaster in the world Goliath was the first new coaster that opend in the new millenium and also the tallest with the longest drop(granted, they only had that record until MF opend, but was a huge marketing tool around that time)

Of course, but usually, even since Riddler's Revenge they had the trains by Colossus at least. They are either not there yet or SFMM is really secretive about the looks of them... -

Great pics! Station looking good. Still no sights of the trains, so strange. They must be hiding them pretty good, usually a month before opening of a new coaster we usually have pics of them stored some place around the property -
SFGAdv or Cedar Point
alexinla replied to the ghost's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hmmm, I love amusement/themeparks but if you are traveling I would also take into consideration on what else is out there. I am sure you will have a blast at either park, but consider what you can do besides the park at CP(basically nothing) or SFGADV where you are close to some of the greatest cities(NYC, Washington, Philadeplhia) Would be a shame to travel halfway thru the country just for an amusement park and see nothing else Just my two cents -
Well weed is legal in southern california for health purposes, so someone standing in line with a bad knee might needed there medication... ANYHOW, smoking weed in a line is something we probably all would not endorse but to say that this has to do with a certain clientele or demographic that comes to the park is just plain silly. It's not that I have smelled weed coming out of the bathrooms at Disneyland(actually happens everytime I go) and that is in Anaheim
