  1. Great night photography! MM looks really good at night.
  2. Great pics, especially the POVs. You're right- the new colors for Yankee Cannonball are ridiculous. Themed trash cans and benches- just like RCT! What's up with Mona Lisa?
  3. One of my favorite memories. The coaster is my favorite, Magnum, the park- you know. It was June 1996 and I was there with a friend who was just getting into coasters and decided to pass on Magnum. Well anyway, I went by myself. One of those sudden thunderstorms poured down, closing the ride for a while. Finally it stopped raining. I got the first seat for the first time ever. It's true what they say about coasters going faster in the rain because of the wet track- this thing was FLYING. It was totally awsome. The speed, the view (it was dusk), the airtime, being alone in the front seat- just unbeatable. An almost spiritual experience!
  4. Love the garbage can shot- very artsy!
  5. Beautiful pics! Griffon looks great. You can see in the pics how it totally dwarfs the other coasters. Love the shot of the kid showing crack! The Expedition Everest pics were great too- it looks like an awesome coaster. And the hotel- wow! I think I want to be reincarnated as one of those crocodiles.
  6. Good pics. Looks like a nice park- I've never been there. Wiggles World is very colorful- the whole park is, actually. I also like the sign on Cyclone. I like the Samuel Adams Brewhouse- nice historic touch!
  7. Thanks for the great pics! There is some great theming in these parks, especially that water drop flume thing. And the ant carousel is so- unique! I also love the bug-shaped bathroom. And the people on the water in hamster balls is too funny for words!
  8. Ditto on Lindsay Lohan. I don't think she's pretty, and she's a brat. Definitely Michael Jackson- he is beyond weird. He belongs in a circus with the freaks. I don't know about annoying, but I'm tired of hearing about Angelina Jolie. I think she's a wacko, and she goes around collecting all these kids like they're souvenirs or something.
  9. Wow, these are awesome! Thanks for posting them.
  10. No thinking about this one needed..... DRACHEN FIRE!
  11. Great TR and pics, as always! I especially like the one with you at the fountain in 1983 and in 2007. Those terra cotta warriors are really cool.
  12. Thanks for a great TR from a first-timer's point of view! I have never been to this park and am considering going this year. Superman looks awesome.
  13. 1. Cedar Point 2. Canada's Wonderland 3. BGW (or Europe, whatever) 4. Magic Kingdom (only Disney park I've been to) 5. Hersheypark 6. King's Island 7. BG Africa 8. SF Great Adventure 9. King's Dominion 10. SF over Georgia
  14. Beautiful pics! Griffon is looking great. The splash pool looks really good. And the kids are adorable!
  15. I have 6 guinea pigs, so I guess they're my favorite rodent. My favorite is Hamlet, my big fat black and white pig.
  16. Funny you should mention Walt- right now I'm reading a biography of him called "Walt Disney: The Triumph of the American Imagination" by Neil Gabler. It's pretty big, and tedious at times, but it has all the info on WD you could want, and tons of references. His impact on society started with Mickey in the 1930s and then to the way animation was made in general. For example, "Snow White" was the first feature, or full-length cartoon film. That was like a milestone in the movies. Then he got into TV in the early 1950s and, according to this book, this was a novelty because it was the first time a studio made an agreement with a TV network (ABC, which was new at that time). Then, of course, Disneyland in 1955, which has changed the course of amusement parks and even entertainment.
  17. Hilarious! But, this brings the disturbing question... what is she doing with a live rooster in the kitchen? Somebody call PETA!
  18. Great pics, especially from the tower. I think that's the first one I've seen that shows Storm Runner's complete layout- it looks awesome. The boardwalk area looks good- very colorful. It doesn't look like too much fun when everybody's wrapped in parkas on a coaster, though!
  19. Very enjoyable TR. It's always fun to see Kristen, even if she doesn't look like she had too good of a time at MM. Some of her expressions are priceless. Poor Jahan- I too was rofl over the "take a dump face"!
  20. Nice TR and pics. Boy, that Scrambler looks like it would fall apart if you blew on it! I love those Round Ups- you don't see too many of those any more. Nice Ferris wheel pics (I have a Ferris wheel fetish) .The High Roller looks like it could be really nauseating. I can see why you had a barf-o-rama.
  21. Great TR and pics, as usual. I like tacos too (see, I read the captions!) I especially liked the captions re: Porky and Petunia. Porky is a lot cuter than Petunia for some reason.
  22. Great TR. I can't believe you found a giant pickle! Great shots of MM and Thunderhead. Thunderhead sure is a photogenic coaster. I've never been to Dollywood, but I agree that the herding through gift shops must be extremely annoying. I recall King Kobra at KI had its exit going right through the gift shop, and I thought it was kind of rude.
  23. Great pics! Looks like a beautiful park. Love the theming. Black Mamba looks awesome. I can't believe they named a ride after Michael Jackson! (I could think of a million crude jokes to insert here). It looks like a good ride, though. And I love the Stoned Guy!
  24. I totally relate to what you're going through. My pets are my children too. A few years ago I had to have my bulldog, Snoopy, put to sleep because she had cancer. The thing is, I couldn't bear to see her suffer. There's no torture worse than seeing somebody you love suffer. So actually the decision wasn't that hard for me, because I knew that she was never going to get better and would be much better off if she were euthanized. I have never regretted it or had second thoughts. At first I felt guilty because I couldn't be in the room while they did it (my mom stayed), but then I thought a) I would have nightmares about it and the image would never leave my mind and b) I didn't want the last thing for her to see was her mother being hysterical. Whatever you do, good luck to you and Parker.
  25. I ran a website once, and I did it through Yahoo. It did cost, but I can't remember how much. I think the fee varies by how much stuff you're going to have on there (like renting space). I would recommend the book "Website Making for Dummies" (or something to that effect), which was very helpful.
