A lovely bank holiday for us in Blighty, which in an oh-so-natural way, decided to rain. Yet I was not deterred to not go to Thorpe, so I did... A now a moan, the park opened at 9:30 in the morning... Guess how many rides were open, less than 5 major ones...Not even Inferno, Colossus, Stealth, Rush, Slammer, I could go on. Most opened over 30 minutes after the park opening, and Colossus didn't open the whole time I was there, so it was a major downer and bad omens I thought at first... Also, Detonator's music has of course changed, and does now not work with the ride, mainly as it was sooooo quiet it could barely be heard, so naturally a protest is needed to allow this to return, as well as the numerous now missing single rider queues... But enough, picture time... Fin. Thanks for reading my first proper PTR... Chris says hi, and dude to Ryan... Here's lunch, £5.75 for this chicken, which was quite nice, especially after staff discounts... I love how imposing these things are, and how enjoyable a ride it is... Thorpe have been doing a lot of land-filling this year in preparation for feature new stuff, this is by Colossu(ck)s and Samurai, the other main part is a long line in the lake near Stealth. Sadly for Derek, only one vertical loop was operating today... Funny English persons on Rush... We also have a nice big swing... Yep, bright orange, and with annoying 'Surfer Dude' annoucements... Oh no... The Fish of new colouring... And again... Coaster goes WHOOSH... Stealth, actually working. I also almost got a roll-back, one train was launching much slower than the other and therefore crawled over the top hat... Det seats.... Lovely X:/, it was the only coaster bar Inferno open at the time... Detonator is another great ride at the park, yet the new music simply sucks... Hey Derek. Stuck on the hill... THROUGH THE TREES!!! B&M goodness had to wait over 30 minutes, but my baby is still the best thing there... The view into the park, in the car, hence the dodginess.

Or as I first named the file, 'Another One To Be Unfinished'...Very Happy But I am actually close to finishing the majority of the park as I type this, with only mainly buildings to be sorted, all the rides and park layout has been done, so just the finishing touches are needed to be added to ensure completion, hence why in many of the photos, other things will crop up that haven't been shown yet, so show some discipline and talk about what the main focus is in the photo... And finally, as usual, do give some good old fashioned constructive stuff to me, but bare in mind that this park is meant to be an old family run thing, so theming is either minimal (mostly on flats) or only to a certain standard, mainly as most buildings will be good old fashioned blockiness, which is kinda realistic if you look at real-life parks.... So for now, the first update, the entrance and oldest rides still operating at the park... A teaser for next time... Enjoy Crazy Golf at the top of 'Shuker Street'. It also has fountains. This park loves them. The buildings of 'Shuker Street' are nowhere near finished atm, so please bear with on them... The 'Old Motor Ride', a wee trek through the woodland. But was ruined by new rides...Typical progress and adapting for new generations...Sounds like Disney and Pixar... And here's it's turnaround. It drops and goes back up...It needed help with the cresting of the second hill but it gives some extra excitement. Here's more of it anyways, Tidal Wave it's called. It also has fountains...And coral for some reason... The first two rides...Yay! The two eldest at the park as well, a Carousel and an 'old-type' water ride. Look around for some older water chutes and you'll sorta see what I was trying to do... Looking at the proper entrance gates, we also have a fountain here, but only exiters see it... If there ain't a crowd. That's the entrance plaza, the ticket booths have been passed, and you walk into here. We have toilets and services, but you just wanna run through don't ya? Looking in, nice fountain ain't it...

Tussaud Group [TTG] Bought Out By Merlin

^And the source there? I've heard 4-D bandied about, but even stranger were a Thrill Lift/Tilt Coaster, dunno what'll happen really future-wise at any of the parks with new attractions and such, but I'd much rather see more work put into the looks of the parks, rather than mutli-million rides, especially at Thorpe. Here's a wish-list... Alton - Flat rides mainly, nice one to replace Black Hole, and a couple smaller ones around Katanga/Gloomy Wood to support the woodie (if built) Chessington - Not much really, would like to see Dragon Falls' rocks return, and perhaps a small family coaster, preferably wood... Thorpe - Dunno where to begin here, how about maintenance for one thing, much nicer environment is needed as well, cos with the main audience being the teen, sometimes you feel dirty when you see 9/10 year olds smoking... Then investing in some actual theming on the rides, plus remove Zodiac and get a Chaos or something... -
Screamin Swings?
Nemesis Inferno replied to RollerC's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Rush is good at Thorpie, but Detonator's better... Considering Rush is the only one I've done, I can't comment on the others, which are powered by motors are they not? Rather than compressed air? Or are the giant cyclinders we Thorpers have hidden elsewhere? -

Awww...Look at the tiny Screaming Swing... I seriously can't wait to go to the park this July, it looks really nice with some great (and as usual, rubbish) rides...Especially the 'What Stealth should be like' coaster... -
Alien War is comming back!
Nemesis Inferno replied to Fallen Heretic's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thing is it won't be that good anymore... Mainly because here in our beloved 'nanny' state the actors (both marines AND aliens) wouldn't be allowed to touch us, as they apparently did back in th' day... Stupid H&S -

^Firewalls? Since when? Most I remember for this is that is was supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread for the RMC, plus their swan-song... Shame money went and now it sits there all lonely and random... It really needed work done to it to make it look as if it belongs to the park, I still think that a RotM look would be lovely, but knowing Thorpe, it'll end up being rubbish in the end...as usual... -
Best and worst themed B&M
Nemesis Inferno replied to gax's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Ones I've actually done/experienced... Best - Nemesis and Duelling Dragons, the usual ones Worst - For me, really Air, and possibly the back end of Inferno...Shame that really... I found that some of the Florida coasters, like Kraken, and SheiKra to name two, have not so much theming in the full extent sense, but the same can be said for DD as well... -

^Eh? And you didn't go via all the other areas because? May seem longer but at least it's mostly level... Not heard much bout this, the coaster is rumoured not only to be a wooden (which is the most probable, no more steel most likely now, too noisy for the Ropers...) but I'm more interested in this new pathway...Mainly on whereabouts and why add it in... -
This looks fun...
Nemesis Inferno replied to mad_dog_BB's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Doesn't look fun... TASTY!!! Shame I ain't going anywhere near the mid-west anytime soon... But if that's incredibly smooth yet quick, yummy... -
Have you ever had someone ask you...
Nemesis Inferno replied to MisterP's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
At least you lot get asked if they can go through... Over here we just get them pushing past, we have to ask them where they're off to...Then they don't get caught and so on... I rarely ask myself, since I'm rarely in such a situation. Mainly since I'm either in the single rider Q or with a group of mates... -
^And all I'd really wanna do if the 'God Squad' came to my door is play Marilyn Manson's Personal Jesus really loud. I'm straight, mainly proven by the fact I'm so shy around girls I reckon . I've had a previous girlfriend, but only one so far...

Great update, Ryan just absolutely steals it completely... Will there be any Fakeland updates soon? Cos I want more and more -
^^Same with Florida, so much great theming, then the neon ghosty things...Fortunately split with the fake station scene though Also, I did find that I got a higher amount of airtime in the back row, hence I was always glad for it via single rider... This is great for reminding me of great times that are had in Florida...How I miss it already.

^^Options.text cheat. Look around the atari forums and there's a topic hidden around their RCT3 area... ^I personally enjoy the difference of the colours, but what colours would you suggest? Also, don't by too excited bout Mega-Hertz the next one, tis a clone, all proper for a change... No update, just boosting the post count up
