QFT The amount of ADULTS who cannot work out how to pull a bar down on Vampire at Chessie is astonishingly high... Especially when they've seen it happen several times before It's a true belief that people are stupid in some way... Especially at theme parks... On the subject of Stacking, it is sometimes unavoidable due to (on Vampire), moaning at people taking off their shoes when already told, parents taking 10 minutes to put their own kids in rather than leave them for the people paid to do it, large people struggling to fit or unable to fit, generally manual releasing a bar, people taking ages to put bags on the platform, people not standing behind the gates... That's at LEAST 6 issues that rise up from people not paying attention to themselves, even when they hear the instructions at least 4/5 times before their own turn... On the subject of fire... Fire is always good...

Both rides are as bad as each other... Little theming and poorly designed queuelines are such examples of the faults of the two... Stealth is very boring to ride now... Especially after going on Xcelerator, the entire thing is ruined for me, since Stealth is crap in comparison (imo)... RITA is better since it is a 'different' layout for a Accelerator (with a clone), so edges it out... Plus Stealth is at Thorpe, which downgrades all rides by at least 2 points on the scale...

TPR's first ever Hard Rock Park PhotoTR
Nemesis Inferno replied to jarmor's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I must say that even if it looks relatively 'dull' without the trees, I point people in the general direction of this photo I was sent of Vampire in 1990... Piccy When you look at it now, you'll never imagine there being no trees, same for this park... I really like the look of the park overall, it COULD definately do with a couple more flats, but when as said there isn't as much finacial clout as Universal or Disney, and with Carowinds being 150 miles away from it, it's a decent little place to test out the potential of how well the park will do... I hope it does... Especially if the British Invasion are gets some more stuff -

^Most British enthusiasts dislike them... -
Pointless new attractions

Dunno about Sierra Sidewinder being THAT bad an addition, was the busiest ride when I went last year... Obviously I dunno what it's like now but hey... Over in Blighty, renovating Bubblesworks was pointless and annoying, and mainly comes about through wanting more money to help spend repairing it rather than working hard to get the money to repair it AND keeping the ducks out... -

^Correctomundo... Rename a guest David Walsh then press CTRL + U to remove the entire interface... Hmmm... The Holiday park area looks very nice... -
^Not really basing anything on POTC, just imagine this more as a park trying to jump onto the bandwagon and having generic pirate theming (see Alton Towers and Mutiny Bay ) Anyways BAD NEWS, my CD drive is busted, so I can't play anything till a new computer comes, hence, no updates until then I'm afraid...

Paramount's Fantasy World
Nemesis Inferno replied to pkd freak's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Most agreed on moving the second lift on Plunge, though I still prefer it going straight into the station, it would involve re-arranging most of the building, so don't worry too much about me being pendantic I hope Madness will also be getting some theming or at least some foliage around it... Looks bland atm... Keep this going, it's getting good... -

Maybe with those bunny hops you should have it as a Gerstauler Bobsled... Tiki Shack loves it This park's really nice, good looking restaurants and other buildings... Don't like the second lift hill on Villager's Plunge... I think rides like this should always be in the plunge pool after the drop and only leave to be lifted into the station... In other words, put the second turnaround in water please -
^^^ Hmm, maybe Captain's Hideout is the best, but I'm still unsure name-wise... ^^ It's a desert island full of pirates... Like most of the old islands... ^ Thankyou.... Update Not much has happened, two new flats have popped up, a Disko known as 'Rum Barrell' and some Dodgems near the Wild Ride area... Also the plaza has gained it's fountain and work on the main restaurant has also been done... Pics... And here's a teaser for the lower right hand side of the island, looks like they'll be doing a coaster in each corner... Here they've poured foundations for a new building which will house an entertainment show... I like Dodgems... 'Why is the Rum always gone?' The two new rides... And inside... Here we see the overview of the first large buffet restaurant... The entry plaza gains this building with fountains...

^^Indeed, so many people get confused when going to Disney, leaving their bags on the side then looking shocked when they get told to take them on with them... Indeed, most problems I get is with shoes on the Vampire, you have to wear them because of the 'cheese-grater' style steps for evacuation... So imagine walking down them in bare feet... Not nice, yet even with annoucements people still leave their shoes off... I hate guests sometimes... *continues to rant in corner* Great TR btw...

^^^, ^^ & ^ Thanks for all them there comments, they make a capt'n proud of his vessel... More pics again... Keep commenting... Mmmmm, sexy... Helix finale ZERO-G Erm, would you rather be dropping into a hole, or just going over water? Very erm... Interesting... Now this is interesting... Looks good from here... Wild Ride's area is completed, grilles have been added for extra vista...

Avast thar landlubbers, and welcome to Pirate's Cove... This be a Island park hidden away from those who seek to take our freedom and to allow fellow Pirates to kick back and enjoy the sounds of the sea and rum... Especially Rum... To the photos... So I hear the first major coaster of two is finished, what could it be? And we have a Topple Tower, Crow's Nest, next door... See what I mean? It dives in and out of buildings in it's area... And here's the first coaster, an un-named custom Wild Mouse... ... a parrot... Which talks and sings to guests all day long... And of course, we have a Main Street, which is made better by... Turnstiles are located in this building... The entrance fort...

Such a shame, but hey, at least it lasted longer than some of the other parks people do... Rides for sale you say? Hmm.... -
Ideas being put in not doubt vary from park to park, but also can vary from Team Leaders as well... At Chessington it wasn't an unknown fact that I'm an ethusiast, and one of my TLs (who I have again this year, yay) asked me what he thought they could do with Vampire to improve it, since they wanted to... He believes that having enthusiasts working at parks helps because we're the hardest people for them to please, GP can be sorted with a quickly dumped ride, but enthusiasts need a lot more, and having some work at parks means that they can pass ideas on should they be asked... It's easy for us lot to become TLs as well over here, my mate became one after only one full year at the place... But I doubt I'd want to make it to such dizzying heights...

Thorpe Park Opening Day!
Nemesis Inferno replied to divyking's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm in the photo of the entrance queue! Guy in black coat and jeans with my back turned... Thorpe loathed today... Inferno has smoke now, but I didn't see it turned on after it opened... And I should know, I was on the first train... You may have seen me stood at the front of the queue... And I didn't have to queue AT ALL for Stealth... I'll make a separate topic so I don't hijack it tomorrow Mainly since I have a large antic photo count... -

The new Tram Tour entrance looks better, but does it still only go round Catastrophe Canyon then return on the same first leg the other way? That's where it fails miserably... Crush looks nice... I look forward to July now certainly... -
Colossus (Thorpe Park) Question
Nemesis Inferno replied to WildStangAlex's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's not great... 3rd best coaster at Thorpe, and it used to be smooth for the first two seasons... Then the trains were changed for some reason (Need to look at why again) so I think it got worse because of the newer trains... So now it should really think about getting some aspirin in the shop instead of the random much sold there normally... -
Disneyland Paris Trip Report
Nemesis Inferno replied to IceDragon's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Ah yes, I remember you confusing my July trip with this It's cold there in February, I never want to do that again when Pirates was the only place with decent heating... A water ride for pete's sake... Typical English school-kid fun though. -
The times you'll have... The cool guests, the idiotic guests, the angry guests... Just realise there'll be several times where you may just get aggro for no particular reason... And you'll be fine... I dunno bout the operator age of 16 personally, arguably something should be put in place for the minimum 18 because really of maturity reasons, looking at the majority of 16 year olds anywhere in the world, and you think sometimes, 'Oh, dear'... An because of being in the UK, I have to wait till August to be able to do more button pressing than the dispatch on Vampire or the Fast-Stop on Bubbleworks... But have some fun and interact with the people.. .Specially on the PA
