Great Pictures. The lighting design of that park is amazing, I actually don't think I've ever been there after dark.

I love spending a day hotel hopping. 13 pics of monorails. Apparently you counted, I thought for sure it was just pulled out of a hat, but thirteen it is. You could have easily added another dozen RE: The Contemporary. The lobby is lacking, I think the addition of the store really detracts from the space rather than accentuate it. THe great thing about the structure is the openness of it all, adding more crap to the ground floor counters that. Perhaps they just need to update the place with richer finishes than is currently there. -

^Expert? eek, i can only play on easy (I don't own it, it's at a friend's house). Still playing and loving the Cataclysm expansion of WoW. Just about to hit 85 and get my 100th noncombat pet!

The coaster wars. While it may have seemed good at the time to always have the biggest, "best", most, etc., it is ultimately what led to the bankrupcy of Six Flags and the loss of parks. People blame Cedar Fair for Geauga's demise, but the real blame should lie with Six Flags throwing coasters at the park in an atempt to compete with Cedar Point.

Has this ever happened to you?

One of my first coaster riding memories is riding Python at BGT with my father and my restraint popping open a notch. It scared me to death. In retrospect, I was perfectly safe but it was extremely frightening at the time. At the ghetto park on the UK trip, all of the wacky worm's restraints popped open when we went through the station for our second go around. I can imagine that it was quite a scare for the *ahem* one child on the coaster. -

I'm underwhelmed by the parade... The captions are what made it interesting. -
Merry Christmas From Theme Park Review!
Moose replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I got a new camera since mine kicked the bucket during Oktoberfest, a new Jacket which was a godsend in the blizzard, a cool Batman clock, a Kinex Coaster , a new drill!, and a few other little things like candles and stuff. A very good year. As sappy as it sounds the best thing I got/gave this year was adopting a family. It was one of my boyfriend's clients and she said something along the lines of "now we'll actually have a christmas, when I get clean I want to be able to do this for someone else." Extremely touching. I will do it again in a heartbeat. -

I am apparently wacked too as I love Dave humor. Great picture of Lou! If that is number 10, I cannot imagine the quality that is yet to come! -

I've never used fluffy floofy bunnies before this year. I usually don't carry anything with me in parks that won't fit in my pocket. I just hate carrying stuff. What was different this year? We visited the surface of the sun during the MidAmerica trip. I found it necessary to carry a souvenir cup so not to get raped on soda prices, a bathing suit, and sunblock. One of these things fits in my pocket (the sunblock), one should be kept in a day long locker or a waterpark locker (the bathing suit), and the last is a pain in the ass to have to put in a locker for every ride (the souvenir cup). I love what Six Flags St Louis did, they had something for your cups at each ride. If there is something like this, I don't mind the fluffy bunnies. And even at Great America, a few of us split lockers so it wasn't even that bad when we needed them. I think it cost us like $2 each for the day, which isn't even the cost of a french fry.

Both of these are great rides! I found Saw to be rough *on certain cars* especially through the cobra roll? Is there even a cobra roll, or did the head banging cause me to imagine it?

^^ I think its some sort of Iron Workers tradition. I have seen it done a number of times on construction sites. -

I love the pic of Lou on Cyclops! Lots of great pictures Hanno! For me, this park had very few positives. Cyclops, Cheese Curds (Yum!), and People watching (Yum!) -
It looks like a very festive time! Are there any rides besides the skyride open?

Too many lights and decorations? I say bah humbug. Parks aren't known for being restrained with their Christmas decorations, I think this is entirely in the reality range. I love the colors on the woodie. Very striking. -

Wow, those drawings are mighty impressive. They are so detailed that if done computer they would still be impressive. I wonder how broadly Arrow wrote their patents. Although this is a new way to rotate the seats, it could still fall under their patent depending on how it was written.
