  1. It's great that they were able to reopen, even if only with the ziplines and chairlift. Any money coming in will likely help the place. I hope they stick to realistic goals and cash expenditures.
  2. ^That would be great, but this would also be the perfect theme to have it be completely random, sometimes dropping you in the middle of spiels etc.
  3. Kind of like what happened in San Diego this year? San Diego fireworks show blows up all at once
  4. I wouldn't mind that at all. Actually, that would be awesome. Agreed, that would be awesome, assuming that unlike Gravity Group, Rocky Mountain can make a smooth coaster that doesn't destroy itself.
  5. Very interesting. Are the racks reused? It doesn't look like they are damaged at all by the fireworks igniting.
  6. ^My guess is J.K. would require ridiculous hoops to be jumped through in order for that to occur.
  7. ^It's also fairly typical for wood construction in buildings.
  8. ^ I would also consider what they did a little more than simply re-profiling. To me making small adjustments like was done to Boulder Dash's finale re-profiling; New Texas Giant was more like a completely new design incorporating the structure of the previous coaster.
  9. Thanks^ That flat portion looks like it could be agonizingly slow and a spot of potential stalls.
  10. The park looks like it is coming along nicely. I don't see any sign of a super splash, just an "over supported" slc.
  11. Is the naming up to the manufacturer? I like the super stengel. While i was fine with a zero-g, this is more along the lines of what I was expecting. I am also very excited about the prospects of another midwest/middle America area TPR trip.
  12. ^Or even some of the rougher new ones. I love the looks of the classic piers, they did a great job mimicking that look! Thanks for the pics, but no ride signs?
  13. That park looks like a nice little hidden gem. If that swing beats Liseberg's, I'm sold!
  14. ^Im the same as you, but my favorite inversion is a zero g roll so if that is what this turns out to be, it's sort of like the best of both worlds.
  15. Doesn't everyone remember how much of the time Thi3teen was down it's first year? It was a crapshoot whether or not it would be working for quite a while. These are complicated rides and have many more systems that can have something go wrong.
  16. Look at the line for that painful pile of bent coat hangers!
  17. So Rutschebanen is still decent even with the Kumbak trains? When I found out that they were using Kumbak I was worried since their trains killed Stampida.
  18. That is great news for the park. The removal of the log flume opened up a much bigger chunk of land than I was expecting. Still no word on what will be going in their place, correct?
  19. I would have thought that the German El Toro would be the El Toro at Plohn.
  20. Surprised to see such love for a wooden coaster which is just "above average" in a park which has the awesome thunderbolt! I LOOOOOOVE Thunderbolt! The ride is pure fun! I also love how the cars flex, though when I pointed it out to the bf, he freaked out.
  21. ^Very cool, thanks for the pics. I like how the water is dark until the train goes through. Does anyone know if Manta (Orlando) does the same thing?
  22. I didn't think they had hinted of anything yet, why now? New Coaster? What new Coaster?
  23. It does look like he top of a zero g, but like Mark said, it could just as easily be any other curve on the tide and I have a feeling there will be a ton of curves on this baby. Does anyone know of they are storing most of the track on site or if it's just the next few pieces to go in?
  24. I noticed that as well, I love that Woody is the giant smiling face. But the detail that the toy story/Disney geek in me squeed at seeing... The BEDROOM DOOR!! That forced perspective making you feel like a toy is freakng genius! Edited to correct autocorrect grrr
