  1. I have to agree with Kyle, the new look suits you. Not that the old one didn't. Nice report. It's too bad abut your sun glasses. I always worry that that will happen with my I need them to see glasses. I should really invest in a hard case to protect them while they're pocketed. I am so fortunate Baco didn't steal them as well.
  2. and that makes 1000.
  3. THanks for bumping this (even if was to complain about Lousicle.) as i missed the update. Chris is gasping at the start of this report and at the end. He really does look orgasmic in that last pic. I wish i went to Japan
  4. The last time i went to the Point was when Wicked Twistah was installed so I have never been on either so I really cannot say which is better. My guess is that those are the two rides you guys are working on? A better contest between the two of you would be who can get the throughput of their coasters higher. Really which ride is better has nothing to do with you two and where you work, but which ride is run better.... that is something you could control. Jon - someday I'll make it back to Sandusky- Az
  5. If that is the case, and i have heard similar things somewhere, then it is more the city's fault for being a pain in the a$$. If they approved it and then required changes, they should have worked with six flags rather than against them after that. I still feel that SF was working in good faith, Agawam was not.
  6. What does that clearance look like with the restraints in the up position (when you will actually be entering/leaving the train)? Overall it looks really nice and open.
  7. Wow. Not good news. It's sad that all the permit stuff led to this. Hopefully SF has learned that they have to cross their t's and dot their i's with the town from now on.
  8. I have to admit to something. I was sitting here trying to figure out the nautical flag puzzle before i scrolled down and saw the key. When I was younger someone asked me what the flags meant and I didnt know so I memorised the signal flag alphabet. Sadly (or maybe not) I have forgotten most of it. The TR continues to be a fun read.
  9. Great great update. I am actually glad you forgot what order you did things in.
  10. The premise of Toy Story 3 sounds a lot like The Brave Little Toaster, but that is fine with me because i adore that cartoon. I am not sure how I feel about this 3d craze. Is this just like the fashion industry bringing back fads that died decades ago? I am not sold on the idea... plus the 3D glasses always conflict with my normal glasses. It's myopic discrimination, that is what it is.
  11. Could it be that the theming and stuff are on hold so they can get the ride up and running faster? His post really said nothing like that, if that is what he meant, he did a very bad job of conveying it.
  12. Nice report. I'd love a pearl neclace from that diver. Clutch those pearls, clutch those pearls.
  13. I can't watch these commercials till I get home, but I just had to chime in about your user icon. 2 DIALS on a TV! For some reason I miss the whole VHF/UHF.
  14. It was most likely removed from the website because they do not know when they are going to be able to get it open. Yes, they'd like to get it open ASAP, but they can only build the ride so fast. If they left the ride on the website it could have potentially caused problems with a "New for 08" ride still far from complete.
  15. I got sick after the Imax at Cedar Point. I have felt ill (without actually puking) on quite a few rides, including Ramses right next to the infamous Bouncy Bouncy which i was fine with. I still don't get that.
  16. I haven't ridden it in about five years but I really enjoyed my 3 or so rides i had on it. *shrug*
  17. I am shocked at how much the animals seem to love going up to the glass. The place looks beautiful, thanks for the update.
  18. ^The rays essentially fly thorugh the water.
  19. Avril Lavigne I won tickets. We went because Matt loves her, but we didn't even stay for the entire set, nevermind the encore(s).
  20. I used to ski. I was quite good when I stopped too, able to ski in complete control on any slope (cept mogels, I HATE mogels). I just all of a sudden lost interest in it. Slopes are overcrowed, people are reckless, and conditions are often not the best. Add that together and you are flirting with disaster. I just wasn't willing to deal with that risk for fun. Now I would rather read a book by the fire in a lodge or cross country ski.
  21. ^ But it is also the reason you SHOULD be. You are flying along pretending to be a manta/sting ray and you get attacked by a seamonster, excitement ensues. It fits the whole "and then something goes wrong" scenario.
  22. Screamscape has said they will close down for something like six months. But then again, it's screamscape that said this.
  23. Not really on topic with this PTR, but sort of related. I just heard on the radio this morning on the way to work that NASA will be laying off something like 40% of their work force soon because they are phasing out the space shuttle program. A press release
  24. I see that the Big Mike roadshow tour is heading up to New England. You'll have to let me know when because I have a feeling having a gay in your entourage will score you much better chicks (ie older than 4) that your babemagnet shirt is getting you. Are you sure you didn't reverse the polarity of the magnet somehow and it's actually repelling them.
  25. You should blame Chris for this shot because it's of Japanese fashion.
