Sorry for a bump... but Scream sounds AWESOME! Stab 8 is one of Four movies currently filming in the terror tram, so it seems like Ghostface is taking over the entire tram like in years passed where it has been sectioned. For another thing Ghostface will play "main icon" meaning he will be at the front gates! This is perfect... Ghostface is a solid host as it goes with the overall Hollywood theme! SO HAPPY Universal took this approach as opposed to giving Ghostface a maze!

^^ Wait... so you haven't even failed a class or anything... you're just taking the class... FAIL!

Looks kinda cool... HHN Orlando had better step it up this year. We(here in Hollywood) have an INCREDIBLE event so far... and that is with 2 mazes still left open for opinion. I kinda like what we have been seeing so far though... it's colorful in a VERY cool sort of way... but we shall see soon enough.

I'm having a nerdgasm right now! 57 hours til I leave for D23! It will only be for one day... but I am perfectly cool with that... and if it is awesome enough(and when I get a job) it may turn into a full 3 day weekend for me. I am also totally doing a photo TR... of which I only have one... but overall I'm CRAZY excited!

LAME! Of course, Ice was down when I visited the park, so I guess I'll never duel. This is seriously awful though... arguably the most unique inverted coasters in this world(the only dueling inverts) goes down for no real reason. No casualties or anything... and seemingly minor injuries as the guy telling the story was seemingly okay. This is just a stupid decision and really takes away all the coasters novelty!

4D coaster model
the ghost replied to Jack Rimer's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I haven't really seen this since this is in games, models, and other randomness... but this is amazing technology. It literally astounds me at what can be accomplished here... but does it actually work. Robb... if you read this thread PLEASE stop and see this guy at IAPPA in November... I'd love to hear if this has progressed at all! -

I LOVE BEING YOUNG! As everyone else has said stay hydrated and take breaks... it helps my Dad quite a bit and he just turned 50. -
Yeah... this park still rules! Awesome job... this reminds me a lot of Charleston Gardens(which was before CD5's Six Flags South Carolina) but with you're own vision added. Also I want to commend you on not only the awesome historical accuracy, but also for the interactivity and decisions for the park. Not only have you created an awesome park... but this story just seems so real, and even your gaming photography is TOP NOTCH! Take it from someone who just started playing RCT3(after years of playing 2 before it broke ) this is the kind of park I aspire to make! Keep up the awesome work and best of luck to you and Eastside!

Good riddance! Just kidding... sorta... I worked there for 3 years and have seen the best and worst the park has to offer. Also I remember the "good old days" especially the slides with effects... but because of the constant threat in closing they are just not investing much... so this will give them a "fresh start." I like the park a lot though... just not as much after working there. Patriot and BB(maybe Abyss?) are the only things I see coming back... everything else is built into the parks terrain for the most part. I see this as a good thing in a way, because maybe we can get the new AWESOME looking water slides like an Aqualoop or an Aquablaster... stuff like that. I VERY much hope there is some way to make something like Bombay Blasters however... cause that was my favorite slide in the park... so fast and that "shootout" on that thing is INSANITY! Thanks for the memories.

School starts in 8 days... the good news is that Friday of D23 is an awesome way to end the summer. The scary news is that my first "transfer" session is in October because I go to a community college... but I am(almost) ready to transfer to a Cal State school. The good news, however, is that if it doesn't happen this semester it is not a HUGE deal... because it can happen at a later time... I just want it to happen this semester.

Your Favorite Hotel Chain
the ghost replied to Rollercoaster Rider's topic in Random, Random, Random
I am a big fan of the Hilton chains. A bit pricey, but VERY nice! My favorite hotels however are the AK Lodge as well as the DVC Baylake Tower... where we stayed for a night! -

This is a band I just found called Grim Luck... and they play some AWESOME ska punk! http://grimluck.bandcamp.com/ Not a plug or anything since I am in no way affiliated with this band... just a supporter of indie music. Anyway, they put an entire album here for free... this is a direct link to their page so it's 100% legal... just have a listen if ska is you're thing... this is good stuff IMO! Kinda reminds me of Streetlight Manifesto!

Embarrassed of parks...
the ghost replied to outbackjack's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I am in no way embarrassed AT ALL about my hobby. For one thing I have levels of "nerdiness" meaning it fluctuates depending on who I am with. Like at WCB I typically go with a group of an enthusiast or 2 and another group I don't consider enthusiasts per se, but they are relatively coaster savvy as long as I'm not too technical. With these people I tend to geek out a bit more... I yell things like airtime and yell "ZERO G ROLL" and things like that... depending on the ride. With my "gp" friends I mellow out a bit. There are some advantages of the hobby though... like before my friends met me they would sit in the middle of rides... but none of that anymore... if it is reasonable to request/take the front or back seat that is where to sit. Also there are other "advantages" like I know how to defensively ride an arrow coaster(viper) and essentially avoid headbanging as well as sit in a seat where the ride is smoother. In the long run don't get overly geeky with the wrong friends. I like talking "coaster" at events like WCB, but not all the time. NEVER EVER let this hobby from letting you enjoy parks... this is a hobby for those who love parks, and quite frankly if it prevents that... YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!!!!! -
Actually very good and detailed TR... you trs have improved A LOT since you first "got here." That mini rocket is so bad ass... it's so tiny but probably packed full of Intamin goodness... which is awesome even in very small doses! Also this is one of those kinda rare TR's from a park I've never heard of... and this one looks quite nice! Very good job!
