  1. This I can do... I am a self proclaimed Disneyland expert! [bWhat lines are must hits early in the a.m.?[/b] ^That is good advice... head to Star Tours first and at least get fastpasses... if the standby is short still get fastpasses and get in line, because chances of the same "cycle" are relatively slim. For DCA this is my favorite game plan that usually always works. Head to Soarin and get a fastpass... but don't get on yet. Then head to WOC and grab a ticket(some love it and some hate it but I HIGHLY recommend it if you like shows at all) then head to Mermaid. This line is generally okay because of the VERY high capacity but get on early cause it's new. Then head to sky school... it has AWFUL capacity and just opened... so it will likely be bad... there is a fastpass option for this as well. Then do Screamin or whatever other attractions you choose. Also keep in mind that rides like Grizzly and Splash Mtn will be VERY crowded during the day but FAR less crowded at night. What lines stay short all day (like POTC and HM at DW)? The omnimovers besides mermaid (Haunted, Buzz) Jungle Cruise is one of the shortest waits due to the high amount of people that can go in the boats. Screamin and Thunder are people eaters due to relatively large trains. Tower of Terror is a people eater. Snow White and Pinochio are usually rather short, Toad and Alice are bearable(15-20 minutes) and Peter Pan has like the worst line in the park cause it has awful capacity. Also Matterhorn runs so many trains that it is usually bearable... but it can get bad. Look also for all the 3d shows and monsters to have short waits... there may be more... but this is all I can think of. Any eating advice, great places, (not looking for too pricey)? My recommendations: In New Orleans Square there are a variety of places to get the clam chowder... which is DELICIOUS. It is also a large serving and comes in a breadbowl. There is also Dole Whip, found at the main entrance of Adventureland. California Adventure just opened two new resturants... one "Mediterranean " and one is a pizza place that I hear are quite good. Lastly my "treat" at the parks(If I don't get dolewhip) is a place called Schmoozies, which is just down Hollywood's main path at DCA on you're left hand side. They have an awesome VERY SWEET AND VERY CHOCOLATY "smoothie" called the Make Mine Mocha which is incredibly chocolaty and totally awesome. Any can't miss things that aren't rides? Fantasmic is one. The bad part about this show is you have to show up early to see it... but it is IMO as a show FAR superior to the one in WDW! I already mentioned Worlds of Color... some love it and some don't like it... as you probably know there are fastpasses for it. Now for the best piece of advice EVER. Skip waiting like an hour for the fireworks... this is the best trick in the book. Ask the CM's at the DL railroad when the last train is before the fireworks and take the train to main street station. Then watch the fireworks from main street station... it is a VERY clever move because there are people up there but very few. There are benches up here that you can't sit on because they are "vip seats" but anywhere besides the benches up there is 100% fair game... and you'll get a clear view of the castle. A "word of caution" though, often after the fireworks the trains are on temporary hiatus... so go to the mainstreet stores as they are "connected" and will get you to the hub safely and quickly... but do not go on mainstreet streets as it will be packed from people leaving the park. Going to DL-DCA on a M-T-W, any park better than the other on particular days...(like Epcot on Mondays)? As a rule of thumb Disneyland is ALWAYS more crowded than DCA. The thing is unlike Disneyworld for a lot of the year a almost majority of people are AP holders(me included) and because the parks are so close together it is rare for most AP holders to spend all day in one park... at least I tend to do both. The Ghosts FASTPASS guide. These are opinions... but I stand by them. "fastpass value" These are in order from most to least valuable. Also... remember... the DL and the DCA fastpass machines are on different "systems" so you can have a "active" fastpass in both parks simultaneously. #1. Star Tours(THESE WILL GO QUICK) #2. Space Mtn: This will get you past the ENTIRE outdoor que area of the ride. Still some waiting inside. #3. Indiana Jones: Will also get you past outdoor que area... keep in mind there is still waiting inside, but this is a VERY well themed que, so there is a lot to look at. #4. Technically it should be Splash Mtn... but if you've never been down here Roger Rabbit is 4. It is unique to DL in terms of American Disney parks and is a very cool and in my opinion under rated ride. Get on this as soon as you can though, because it is infamous for breaking down. Also keep in mind Toontown closes early for the Fireworks... so go on this ASAP. Lastly this ride has awful capacity... so it is valuable. VERY VERY IMPORTANT I am not 100% sure if this is true, but rumor(from VERY credible sources) has said that this is a "standalone fastpass" meaning it is not hooked up to the system. Basically meaning you can have this fastpass and another fastpass right after or vice versa... try this cause it's worth a try! #5: Splash Mtn: Long line during day walk on at night. Very good fastpass though... gets you very far in the line. The others are hit or miss. Autopia has terrible capacity, but the fastpass does not help much. Thunder and Buzz both have AWESOME capacity... so these are hit and miss. Remember to get you're WOC tickets in the que of Grizzly River Run in the morning. #1. Soaring Over California #2. Sky School(awful capacity... but credit) #3.Grizzly: Note supposedly same as Roger Rabbit... you can have this and another active DCA fastpass. This will be short at night. #4. Screamin... line is usually pretty bearable. #5. Tower of Terror: Could be a long line but VERY high capacity! This is it for now... but let me know if there is anything else you want to know!
  2. It is currently between Grizzly River Run at California Adventure and Bildge Rat Barges. I don't necessarily like one more than the other and I like aspects of each objectively... so those will be eternally tied for #1.
  3. It's not technicallybut IDK where else it fits, lol.
  4. ^ HOLY CRAP! This looks awesome and so well themed!
  5. ^ I want to say I've ridden most of the best Dark Rides America has to offer... although my parents didn't let me go on alien when it was there cause we went when I was in 1st grade and my friend's family who went a few months before us advised my parents it was not for kids...BOO! Of course, I was a wuss back then for horror things... still kinda am despite the fact that I love to be scared and love horror things even though I am crazy jumpy. The only other notable one I haven't ridden is forbidden journey, which wsa under construction when I was in Orlando last. My favorites are: #1. Spidey- Some say Indy and some say Spidey. I love both, but I love Spiderman... the first 2 movies ruled and I have ridden Indy so many times... if I had ridden Spidey as much as Indy this could be very different... but I've only been on Spider once... so it is my favorite. #2. Indy: Love the vehicles, effects, and technology. If they ever update every effect... it could head to the #1 spot as I love this ride to death. #3. Men In Black: Crazy fun and I think pretty under rated... this thing was awesome! #4. Haunted Mansion/Haunted Holiday: Yell at me all you want, but both versions of the ride kick equal amounts of ass. This is by far the best overlay EVER and I love it just as much as the original. I am a huge Nightmare fan and truly believe that the overlay does the original justice as well as gives it an awesome holiday makeover! 5. Jungle Cruise(Diseyland): This ride for some reason seems to have some haters... but I love it. This ride fascinates me because it is truly an outdoor darkride... but the outdoor setting gives it a VERY unique edge. The real jungle plants give the ride a completely unmatched atmosphere, and considering their age the animals looks very realistic and the whole thing feels so real do to the unique setting, 6.Pirates(DL VERSION ONLY!!!!!) This is an awesome ride... a true Disney classic. What more needs to be said? Honorable mention to all the fantasy land dark rides... my favorite being Toad... as well as to Astor Blasters. This list does not include dark coasters or log flumes.
  6. Random bucket list-rides and parks I must ride before I die! In no order... but Journey is my most wanted! My "most wanted" is Journey to the Center of the Earth/Visiting Tokyo Disney Sea For some reason I am OBSESSED with Big Boom in Japan Any of the Intamin Plug N Plays. They must be awesome cause every time the Alvey's ride one it beats the others. Like on FB it says El Torro #1 coaster, but last year Balder was #1, and T Express was #1 when they rode. Point being they sound like GREAT coasters. Any Intamin plug n play and or the awesome Intamin mini hyper Goliath @ Walabi. Expedition Geforce I would love to ride a truly awesome wooden coaster since we don't have many on the west coast. I was lucky enough to ride GR opening year... but as we all know it's gone downhill and I was just a kid, so I don't really remember. Would love to visit all the Disney parks A lot of "charming" parks like Holiday World and Knoebels aka parks not owned by a major park company. Lastly even though I can't rate it yet and thios park is not on the list... the Eurofighter and Fuji Q looks pretty damn wicked!
  7. Can You Feel the Love Tonight- Elton John Pandora's Disney radio is awesome... all from Disney films.
  8. I've got to agree... until they start spinning whats the point? It's not really a new kind of coaster as a new seating style for a B&M flooless right now in my opinion... I mean... they're cool to a degree cause there's nothing under you... but it's nothing special. Sure, the first drop looks cool... but the layout in the video looked kinda boring... it looks kinda forceless and there seems to be no means of airtime. I'm not usually one to pass judgement on a ride without riding it, and I do realize the concept art and no limits renderings are not necessarily accurate... but I am not very impressed by this.
  9. I am pretty much 10000% down to go to this... I try to set a monthly fun stuff budget(otherwise I'd be 100% broke) and I've "extended" the budget a bit this month... so unless it's crazy expensive I am so down. Also it's the day after I do Horrornights cause I am doing the opening night super saver thing... so this will be the best weekend EVER!
  10. ^^^ AWESOME! BEAUTIFUL! Looks a LOT like Disneyland! AWESOME!
  11. ^ I agree to an extent as I have somewhat "conditioned" myself... I suppose. I am somewhat of an insomniac(its 2am right now) and I am lucky if I fall asleep before 3 or 4 and I try to get to parks early... so for something like WCB I will get at most 5 to 6 hours of sleep and at least 2 to 3. Everyone else is right... ride when you feel energetic... but as far as we know there is no damage... of course I have never truly blacked out. The closest I've ever come was on Tatsu's pretzel in the back row where I began to grey out... never fully unconscious or anything... but fighting it... and it was awesome in a crazy forceful way.
  12. Called it! 2(or 3 if you count corpses) of the 6 announced so far. We are not really sure whats going into HoH but we do feel that the next "major" announcement will be either Evil Dead/Army of Darkness... or at least the next house we are confident about. We also feel that either the next or last house announcement will either be TrT(trick r treat) or Scream. There is aksi a bit of rumor still that Wolfman might still be coming and that AOD would go into House of Horrors. I REALLY hope this does not happen though as I REALLY want ED in it's own house! Last thing... this will be in Mummy's que, which I am taking to mean lower lot giant warehouse thing!
  13. ^ I can almost GUARANTEE Hostel.I don't work at the event or anything but were working sadly hard to put these clues together and it seems like this is by far the most logical... Expect it because I will pretty much bet money were getting it. The big thing at the moment is whether we are getting Scream or not... thats a big issue in the HHN world at the moment, lol.
  14. This TR rules... I now have access to a camera, so maybe I'll do a "vintage" bag o crap tr with a bag o crap I got in June... maybe even do a video report with my new webcam... the possibilities are endless!
  15. My ticket just came today in the mail! YAY! Also according to what I've been hearing it seems like there will be a Star Tours panel, A "Disney Dream" Q&A involving the imagineers behind the ships construction, and a Radiator Springs panel... sounds cool... but these are just for Friday! Excited!
  16. Woot! Just got my D23 ticket!
  17. This is almost as awesome as when I got stuck on Tatsu. We were in the final breaks... still in "flying mode" and this guy tried to take out his cell phone but it fell from his pocket and it looked like it shattered. Yeah though... these people suck... kinda curious to see how Disney does a locker policy. They try to be guest friendly as possible... hence the free fastpass... which is a good system considering most if not all other chains make you pay for a line shortening system. I hope lockers will somehow be the same... and I agree with what others have said before that I find Universal's locker policy to be very fair and am hoping Disney implements a similar system since I'm 99.999% sure that Robb is correct about the current lose article policy changing.
  18. From Wikipedia: Good sign? Maybe not as CGI as we thought... I am actually kinda excited to see what happens with this house... will it be too much of a repeat? I have heard it's an all new House... but we'll see!
  19. Streetlight/RBF 2 weeks ago. Considering seeing Four Years Strong in November!
  20. Awesome... especially for NCSO! Good work!
  21. Well... Riddler's is my #1, but it's a standup so it's a bit hard to marathon... so I am plugging in my #2 coaster Apollo's Chariot. Simply because although Riddler RULES Apollo is more comfortable and offers a ride I loved again and again. Riddler is aggressive and intense... but it's not necessarily a marathoner... 5 or 6 rides is awesome but more than that is a bit much in one "sitting." Get it? The WORLD PLAY Ghost
