  1. 1. Corn Hole for Geagua Lake-It is kind of hard to beat this, and Cedar Fair demolished it(both the park and the game) at the end of the year. 2. Poseidon's Rage-Yeah it's a cool wave pool, but it takes up so much space that there isn't any room to expand the ride side. If this was built back where the rest of the water park is, then it wouldn't be as bad. 3. Wiggles World(SFGAM)-I'm glad that SFGAM got another kiddieland, but it could have gone in a better place other than under the old circus tent.(I'm amazed they crammed so many rides under it) The old Looney Tunes National Park is dead, and it could have gone perfectly there. There isn't much there, and even if they kept the participatory play area, they still would have been able to add the new rides. While there are some rides, there is also a lot of concrete, and they could merge Camp Cartoon Network with it. Camp Cartoon Network even has some little different themed areas, so if this one large kiddieland was built, it would be possible for it not to be entirely themed to the Wiggles. It just seems out of place where it is now, and if it was moved just a short distance away, it would not be so out of place.
  2. 1. John Allen-brought the roller coaster to the modern world 2. Anton Schwarzkopf-yeah he worked with number 3, but he redefined the steel coaster 3. Werner Stengel-yeah he worked with number 2, but he is the most influential modern coaster designer
  3. Last year-Tony Hawk's Big Spin and despite the fact I hate spinning rides, it was a lot of fun. When was the last time you rode a coaster that was in a state other than the one you live in?
  4. Well if by handy you mean hidden, then yes Is this your first post in this topic?
  5. ^Of course not, but Knotts already has what four(soon to be five) red/orange coasters out of a total of eight(soon to be nine) coasters. When over half of your coasters have the same color scheme, it is overdoing it. A color scheme like Raging Bull would be fine, but the color scheme chosen looks like something you'd see at a carnival/small parking lot park.(ie Coney Beach)
  6. While I like the ride concept, the color scheme is pretty bad for a western themed ride. I predicted a brown coaster, but CF decided to add another red coaster. However, hopefully it looks better when finished with the theming(yeah right theming) than I think it will.
  7. ^I could see a Volare, euro-fighter, spinning coaster, or possibly a half pipe going in soon. There seem to be a few open areas around the park that might be big enough to hold a small compact coaster. I forgot about this project... So this is just going to be a participatory water play area like Skull Island(SFog/SFGAM)? An addition like this should be great for attendance as even something this small will be big for Iowa.(yes I've been to a "major" water park in Iowa, so I can say that) Adventure land looks like a great family owned park(and a pretty big family owned park), and something like this will only make the park better.
  8. A member over at RCPro did a PTR from Jan 1, and it is still being painted. All that is left is part of the first loop, and then it will be finished.
  9. ^I think something similar to that accident(and the one in Brazil) happened on Whizzer in the 70s/80s. However, I might be confused as Whizzer had quite a few major accidents during those decades. I'm still amazed that no one was hurt, and I'm shocked that it reopened the next day. I am interested in to finding out what caused this accident(could be age, or perhaps something as small as a bolt coming off), and I'm sure parks all over the world will be inspecting their coasters to make sure something like this doesn't happen again.
  10. The park looks like a CF park with all the trees removed, but hopefully the theming balances it out. I am impressed with the speed they are working on this "new" park, and I'm surprised that it is still open as I expected it to close for several months.
  11. South Side Story-Oblivion
  12. Nighthawk is a good name, but what will they do with all the Star Treck theming? Flight Deck however just shows how pathetic Cedar Fair's ride names have become lately. What happened to the old Cedar Fair names: Banshee Raptor GhostRider(or was this under Knotts ownership) Maverick(new) Voodoo(new) Gemini Hydra(new) Timberland Twister ...hell, even Millennium Force is better than the names they put out now.
  13. They also claim Borg...Nighthawk has eight inversions?! Is it just me or do most family run parks come up with better names for coasters? Flight Deck is probably one of if not the worst coaster names ever created. Cedar Fair has the option to use the Paramount theming, but instead, they don't and decide to give their coasters/rides horrible names.
  14. Great TR of some unknown parks Soren. Hopi Hari looks like a nice little park(well big park for Brazil), and it's sad to see that it is struggling so much. Wet n Wild looks to have a nice selection of attractions, but it reminds me of Soak City.(maybe I'm spoiled with Hurricane Harbor) Montezum looks like it could have been a pretty good coaster, but too bad it's rough. However, it is an RCCA, so I didn't expect it to be smooth, but I didn't expect it to be that rough.
  15. Going by the construction photos(and knowing that it is Alton Towers), this looks like it will have some amazing theming. I like it when parks(mainly European parks) put so much effort into a family ride, and they turn a family ride into a major attraction. The rest of the area sounds really cool, and it will be interesting to see how it turns out.
  16. Roller Coaster-Blink 182
  17. ^while that would have been bad for his family and the industry, I'd have no remorse for him if he got hit by a boat.(no I'm not like this in my normal life, but he is an idiot) When I was watching the video, I was expecting him to come very close to getting hit, and like many of the previous posters, I'm a little disappointed he wasn't.
  18. I'm just wondering how that happened, but there have been other strange (one-of-a-kind) accidents to. I'm just surprised that no one was hurt, but I guess location has a thing to do with it. If this was in America, you'd probably get some people complaining about some ache or pain, but I'm still surprised that no one had to go to the hospital since it seems like an injury causing accident.
  19. The Anthem-Good Charlotte
