CGA Gets New Signs
Airtime&Gravity replied to Stealthguy05's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow, CF is really lacking originality lately. The red, white, and blue signs they keep putting up look the same for the most part(except this one), and they just look horrible. I know most signs don't look the best, but it is the first thing guests see(besides the skyline), and these signs are pathetic ways to welcome people to the park. This sign looks like something the park would have when it opened in 1976, and it just has a "cheap" look to it. -
Maybe it is a better park than I realized, as I only spent 40 minutes at the park and went only up to Boomerang, so I missed a lot of the park. It looks like it could be a nice park, but I just wasn't having fun, but that was probably because Predator and Boomerang beat the crap out of me. Looking back at the park map, it does appear to have a nice flat selection, and I guess I just missed most of the park. If RoS had been open, then I would probably have liked the park more, but it killed my day by being closed since I was really looking foreword to riding it. As for Motocoaster, it should be a lot of fun, and since it will be a unique ride for the area. While not a large coaster, the park might be able to bring in a lot of people due to the ride's uniqueness. While I don't like it being built on top of itself, it still looks like a solid coaster for the northeast.

I never really understood what Joyopolis is. Is it like Disneyquest, or is there something about it that I'm not getting? Oh well, nice to see more "parks" like this opening up, and having a nice spinning coaster like what is planed should bring a lot of families in. Hopefully the states will see a place like this in a few years.

Figures, the year after I visit the park, the get a new ride. I must say, I was disappointed with the park(I spent 40 minutes there altogether as RoS, the only reason I wanted to visit, was closed), and all of their coasters(except RoS) are horrible. I want to like the park, but it just sucks(well, it is by Buffalo ). While it could be great, Darien Lake just seems to be lacking in in both flats and coasters. I had a lot of hope driving by it and walking through the entrance, but the park has nothing to make me want to stay as the flat/coaster selection is so poor. Ok, back on topic, this could easily be the second best coaster in the park, and while I'm happy that another coaster is being added since there wasn't much to do at the park(coasters or rides), I wish a different park was building it. The layout looks cool being as compact as it is, and hopefully more parks build them as they look like a lot of fun.

^That would be horrible to get stuck in It's A Small World. That was a funny video, and it seemed strange that of all rides it happened on CoP. Having the 1920s commentary playing over and over was enough to drive me crazy, and I wasn't even there. Oh well, probably the best emergency evacuation story I've seen/heard, and it was even better since it was caught on tape. -
^I'm sure there are plenty of other nice restaurants to go to with kids while at WDW, but then again, what average family goes to a restaurant where it is $150+ a person? I believe Disney made a good decision because: 1. I doubt many kids even eat at this restaurant 2. What family would take their kids to such a formal restaurant...while on vacation 3. I'm pretty sure those that eat hear don't want to hear some random eight year old complain they have nothing to eat. As for the "child discrimination" lawsuit, I give it until the end of June for it to happen.

^Well that's because SFMM is not even close to what SF wants their parks to be like. I'm sure that after Thomas Town opens and the other changes that are going on happen, SF will care about it a little more. I bet many family rides will be added over the next few years, and who knows, maybe a ride like Deluge will replace Flashback. I just hope your version of "care" doesn't mean adding a multi-million dollar coaster. As for Flashback, it's nice to see that it is being torn down instead of having it rust away, and now SFMM can expand the water park with the available land.

Wow, as said above, those are some really nice photos. While there aren't many photos, the quality(some of the best on the site) more than makes up for that. Edit: Not all photos were loaded when I made the most, but the quality is still really really good. -

^Someone on Youtube claimed Clementon was bought by Six Flags. Surpassingly he didn't get made fun of... I have nothing wrong with people making honest mistakes, but there is a difference between an honest mistake and stupidity. "Viper is like 100 years old"-I'm thinking "Really?(said sarcastically) Viper has been here since 1907...69 years before SFGAM opened?" Sure Viper looks really old, but amusement rides have not been in Gurnee since 1907. Girl in line for Raging Bull-"B:TR is the world's tallest coaster." -
Your Park "To Do List"
Airtime&Gravity replied to DBru's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Nice SFGAM: -re-track Eagle and get the new Intamin trains -add some flat rides that don't spin(dark ride, screamin swing, sky swat, etc.) -stop adding restaurants that can be found just down the road(I think Panda Express and Cold Stone are just across the street even) -add a master blaster to the water park Cedar Fair -fix ride operations -add trees -add-trees -add trees -add trees -remove some trash cans -theming -theming -trees -trees -come up with some good ride names for rides that are not at Cedar Point or Knotts SFSTL -re-track Boss and get new Millennium Flyer trains -repaint Mr. Freeze -re-track Eagle SFKK -remove the razor wire -repaint T2 and get new trains -add S&S tower -replace Elimination Dragster with something good -fix area from Roller Skater to Twisted Twins -add a new coaster(euro-fighter, spinning coaster, half pipe, etc.) -
Everland Discussion Thread

Wow, that's a lot of airtime hills. Looks like from the first drop to the brakes you'll be out of the seat more often than in it.(which is a good thing) This coaster looks amazing, and the size is just unimaginable. Everland looks like it already has some awesome coasters, and this looks like it is the best coaster in the park.(probably the world too) -
