  1. Great photos so far, and LaQua looks like a really cool place since it's in the middle of Tokyo and the rides are all over the place. I'm surprised with Thunder Dolphin, well was as I found out it wasn't great from your 04 trip, but it does have a really cool location. I don't know much about Sea Paradise, but I assume it is like Sea World California so it seems to be a nice park.
  2. This thing is going to look amazing when it opens due to its size and location. I'm sure this will be the new world's number one coaster, and if it runs how it looks, there will be a lot of airtime. I really hope more of these are built in the states as they are simply great coasters.
  3. Wow, this coaster looks very nice, and it seems to have many ground hugging elements. This should give the ride some intense moments, and it seems to be unique as the newer dive machines seem to be more "elevated" with them only coming to the ground on the drops and water splash.
  4. I'm not surprised as most other countries have many small family parks and only a few thrill parks. The United States on the other hand has many thrill parks and "few" family parks as the major parks force them out of business. I am surprised that it was the U.K. though, though I expected it to rank really high, but I expected Belgium, Denmark, or the Netherlands to be number one.
  5. I've just updated the main page, and if you see something missing, please reply. and yes, I will alphabetize the list...eventually.
  6. Homecoming-Green Day
  7. So just to make sure I understand, Viper is receiving new paint and brakes? Is that all or am I missing something, since I'm confused as to what is going on after reading back a few pages? Too bad it was crowded, I thought it would be empty since Six Flags doesn't seem like a place to be on Thanksgiving IMO, and I know what it is like when crowds are that bad. However, was the staff trying to keep thing under control, or did they not care?
  8. Wow, very nice, but given how much trouble Kingda Ka was, I'm surprised a larger one is being built. It looks like the complex is in for some big changes, but the coaster might seem out of place if there is no park around it.
  9. This is why: Kind of a little overkill if you ask me.
  10. ^It's funny because it's true. This looks like a really nice coaster, and it is nice that it is finally being built. Although there does not seem to be anything unique(except the bridge) about this coaster, it still looks like great ride. There should be a lot of airtime, and it seems to have many of Gravity Groups trademark 90* turns. If I go out east again this summer, I'm definitely going to try and stop here as Waldameer looks like a nice park with one potentially great coaster.
  11. ^Maybe, and maybe if I went in June/July and it wasn't raining, the area might have seemed nicer. More: Whizzer-I've read on the site that it seems like a pointless coaster, but I love this ride. It is a lot of fun, and it is better than almost any other family coaster I've ridden. Zeus-even though it fell considerable on my favorite coaster list on my last ride, this ride has some serious airtime. Boss-sure it's rough, but it is a long coaster, there are lots of turns and hidden drops, and the double up has some nice airtime
  12. Cedar Fair theming rides? Well I guess trash cans and concrete can count as theming. Great America looks like a nice park, and it is nice to see major rides being invested, even if they are used, and hopefully Cedar Fair manages to keep the family friendly atmosphere the park seems to have. I just think that in five years Great America will be the typical Cedar Fair park with lots of concrete, minimal shade, and 10000000 trash cans.
  13. ^Kentucky Kingdom is a really nice park, but it isn't in the best of areas.(what other park is has razor wire around it?) The staff is great, crowds are light, there are some nice shaded areas, there is a good selection of flats, and the coasters are pretty good for a "small" regional park.
  14. T2-My first SLC, it was smooth, a lot of fun, and re-ridable Kinda Ka-While it was shaky, it was fun. The launch is great, and the top hat offers one great view. Nitro-lots of floater airtime Boomerang-Elitch Gardens-Although I can't say the same about the one at Darien Lake, Boomerang was smooth, considering it's a Vekoma, and since it was my first Boomerang, it was a unique ride. That first hill is pretty scary if you don't know what to expect.
  15. If they can't expand, then I guess it wasn't as good as I thought. I have not been by the park since 05, so I don't know how big the area is, but is there not even enough room for even something along the lines of Whitewater Country? (Valleyfair's water park)
  16. I haven't been to the park since 96/97, and it is sad to see what is being done to it. While the Nick theme will be good for business, the forest theme was really cool and well done. Hopefully they find a way to keep some of the forest theme because many of the flats tied in so well. Who knows though, the new owners seem to be adding a lot of theming, so while the forest theme might have been a lot better, the Nick theme could end up being cool as well.
  17. Adventureland sounds like a great family run park, and with this new area, it will only get better. Hopefully this area will be expanded, and maybe in a few years it will be a whole water park.
  18. Interesting, and while it may be a bad design, it will certainly be unique. I'll admit that the Screamin Squirrel is a bad coaster, and the El Loco, while not a big improvement, looks somewhat fun. Sure it will not rank high on favorite coasters, but it offers a nice gimmick. No other coaster in the country will be like this, and that will get the GP in line.
  19. I was wondering what happened to this project, and it is nice to see that it isn't dead. Since it will cost roughly 450 million, it should have some good theming, and although there will probably be no coasters, the one in France was only planned to have a Super Splash, it should still be a good park. The whole concept seems unique with it being part hotel/casino, museum, and park, it should offer a lot of fun.
  20. In no order: SFGADV-just really nice Elitch Gardens-I love how unique it is Darien Lake-as much as I hate the park, the entrance was pretty nice SFSTL-a lot of shade and just very nice Lakeside-the ticket booth under the tower is great, especially at night Magic Kingdom-no explanation needed *only of parks I've been to
  21. ^Well, technically, Kumali is a clone of the inverted coasters at the two Happy Valley parks in China. I'm guessing that Golden Horse was the contractor/builder of the rides while Vekoma designed them.
