The Sunset Resort [RCT2]

G-trains on a Dinn wooden coaster...I feel pain at just the thought of it. This park is absolutely amazing, and the level of detail is far greater than almost any other park on the site. Every update continues to make the park even more amazing, so keep up the great work. -

Another awesome TR Jahan. I miss SFKK as it was a nice park, and it seems to have had some big improvements between my visit in 2006 and when the TPR group went. I actually liked T2, and while no B:TR, I had more fun on T2 than any other inverted coaster I've been on. It doesn't deserve all the crap it gets because it is a fun coaster. Of course, T2 was nowhere as good as Chang though, and I agree that it feels out of place at SFKK. The only thing bad about my visit was that only one car was running on the mouse.

Wow, those renderings look amazing, and hopefully this does get built. The only thing is that it looks a little ambitious and futuristic for something to open so soon. However, that does not mean it can't be built, I'm just skeptical on how close it will be to the renderings. Hopefully it does get built though as Israel could use a decent park, and this is could easily be one of the best parks in the Middle East when it opens.

^Well the reason reefs are being built in Dubai is because the Persian Gulf is too salty to naturally have one form. No amount of reduced ship traffic or any other eco-friendly solutions will make it so reefs can grow naturally. Slightly off topic, but I would assume that this new resort will use the reefs as an attraction(extra charge though of course) Edit: Oh well, we all make mistakes. Thanks for clearing it up Pure. While these parks are small, I'm sure that they will be used to their full potential. Sure the coaster count might not be as high as BGA, but these parks will still have a substantial amount of coasters and other rides.

Sarajevo Bobsled -
Whatever is built, it should be a great attraction. I'm actually surprised that SFMM is building a new coaster as I thought that the flat ride selection would be built up first. I believe that this mystery coaster will be an EK clone, but a launched X-car also seems like a possibility now. As for other possibilities, I could see an euro fighter(something the size of Typhoon), a Vekoma family coaster(spinning or jr. SLC), or maybe one of those crazy bobsled coasters like at Klotten Park.

Vallejo may file for bankruptcy!
Airtime&Gravity replied to thrillgeek's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Vallejo sold their share of Discovery Kingdom to Six Flags last year, so this will not affect the park. -

Like Scaparri said, I could also see a THBS going where Dragster was. As for Twisted Twins, they could tear them down because they took up a lot of land, and they were just average. Sure they were fun, but they didn't do much. Some flats or a GCI would do great in their place too. Since Superman is being removed, a S&S tower could also be a good addition for the area. SFKK was a nice park when I went in 2006, and while slightly run down, it was still a nice park. Well it was better than Elitch Gardens which I visited earlier that year. The park looks like it has improved a lot since when I went, and I may just try to go down there again. -

Como Park up in Minnesota was pretty bad as it was basically just a permanent carnival. Now I know it is owned by a carnival company, but for a park that has been around as long as it has, it should look better. Sure I will always remember it as it was home to my first coaster, but I have no reason to return to it.

^As far as I know, IB was owned by the same family that opened it. I was expecting Herschend or Parques Reunidos to buy the park, but no matter who the new owners are, hopefully they can continue to expand and improve the park. -

Wow, these names just continue to get worse every time. I just don't understand why Cedar Fair is refusing to use the Paramount theming as they are hurting themselves by not. Also, how does a ride themed to Tomb Raider get a name like Time Warp? What, are they going to do a Chinese knock off theme to Rocky Horror Picture Show? Oh well, the other names aren't a surprise as they are the same horrible names that Cedar Fair is giving their other rides.
