  1. My way of classifying if things are credits comes down to the advanced method of: 'If its on RCDB/Coastercounter, it counts'. Clones definitely do in my opinion, its a separate coaster, therefore its a different ride you've been on.
  2. I'm not sure about the diagram there, can't quite make it out, but I had been led to believe that they'd dropped one of the two corkscrews in favour of another airtime hill/corkscrew hill thing. Also, on another note... Oh My God, that is the most beautiful inversion ever...
  3. Okay, last time I looked, this was still supposed to be called Apocolipsis, guess someone somewhere had a change of heart. While X-coasters aren't the best coasters out there, its still a massive project for Parque de Attraciones, which is very much and up and coming park. 2 Maurers in the space of 2 years for them as well. I know where Tom's coming from in saying that the lapbar ratchets down throughout the ride though. Any positive-G moment, and down it goes a bit more. I didn't find it terrbly uncomfortable really, but I have got a bit of padding there to be fair
  4. Definitely height. I can go as fast as I like and it won't really bother me, but any height where i'm a bit exposed and i'm nervous. Drop towers, bigger coasters, anything like that i'm nervous. Not really on space shots, I don't really get chance to be bothered then. I intend to get myself on a Skycoaster one day soon, but I know i'm going to be poo-ing it in the lead-up to it. 'll love it when I do it though.
  5. Yep, i'm another 'I was afraid of them until recently' people. I never rode a coaster until 2001, when I decided to go on a college trip to Disneyland Paris. I couldn't understand why i'd always been scared, so I just rode everything, and loved it. Didn't really become an enthusiast then though, I saved that until early last year, when I stumbled across a few sites loooking for info (here & Coasterforce mainly).
  6. James Blunt - Goodbye My Lover
  7. The grand age of 20 for me. Yep, last year. Not been 'on the scene' (for want of a better cliche) for long.
  8. Pepsi Max: Big One. Last ride of the night on saturday, last ride of the year for me no doubt. Roll on January.
  9. Big drop towers. The pants always get a good filling in queues for them. Scream! at Heide Park had a nice 50 min queue, which gave me a massive dose of nerves when it came to actually sitting in the seat and then getting to the top. It seems higher of course, as its built on the side of a hill. I love the thrill I get from the fear though, so i'll keep going back for more.
  10. Grand National's the only one i've ridden, yet, but its a good fun ride. Nothing adds another element to a ride as well as a bit of friendly competition. Split your group between the two trains, and you've got something that no other ride has. Plus, I won 3 times out of 3 on saturday, which makes it good
  11. I'm on, although its not exact. My village is 'invalid' according to Google. I prefer the 'myguestmap' version actually, as you can just click on the exact location to add your marker. I'm over near Tom (non-German) and Dave Morton.
  12. Lovely setting for it too. Swooping through all the trees on that banked turn looks really nice, never mind the actual thrilling parts of the ride! Think I might combine a return trip to Liseberg with a trip to Tusenfryd next year, can't go so close and miss out on this.
  13. Voted. Got to help make Mitch's poll the most accurate one possible. Its funny looking through the completed ballots seeing how many mistakes there is though. Or is that just me...?
  14. There's some damn big holes appearing there! They seem to be a lot deeper than when i last looked anyway, looking forward to seeing stuff going in them. I like the snake rock carving on the wall too, very cool.
  15. While my woodie collection is pretty limited, and i'm mostly constrained to our classic UK woodies, which are more about the layout than the drop, the Grand National is up there, with its first double-down. The best one ridden so far for me though must be Balder. I've ridden nothing quite as steep and airtime filled as that. Coming a close second would actually be Bandit@ Movie Park Germany I think. While the ride was nothing more than average, I do like the drop that banks across to the right and picks up a hell of a lot of speed.
  16. I've only ridden Shockwave @ Drayton Manor (the B&M but not B&M one), and I really enjoy that. Its far from smooth, but its still fun, and as Shockwave said on the previous page, the zero-g is superb fun. I'm really looking forward to getting to ride a B&M one though, to compare the experience, and see if they are better at all. The layouts in general are a bit better, so here's to hoping...
  17. The best flat i've ridden would probably have to be the KMG Tango. Its just so insane & all over the place, I really didn't know what the hell was going on when I got off. Love it.
  18. Yeah, i've been proved wrong, and that first drop is actually 2 inversions in one! Basically a sitting pretzel loop. Should be awesome, and basically makes my mind up that a visit to Norway is on the cards next year. Also, track's onsite. http://www.rcdb.com/ig3245.htm?picture=3
  19. Hehh, White Tiger with a blue face. That's something special! Very cool though, i want a white tiger, although I do value my life, so i'll trust my best instincts.
  20. Why is Australia so far away? The camelback hill looks awesome, and it should give off some damn good airtime. Okay, so it won't be going quite as fast as other accelerators, but with a hill that steep, it should be great. It's a similar shape as Expedition GeForce's first big hill, and as we know, the seats are rather unnecessary on that hill.
  21. Humdinger. Jesus please no. I can just picture the situation on 12 months, when one of my non-enthusiast mates asks me about the big new coaster at Thorpe Park. "What's it called then?" *mumbles* "...humdinger..." "What?! Surely you didn't just say Humdinger?!" "er... yeah.." "That's an awful name! It's even worse than Rita!" ...and yeah, I'd hve to agree with them.
  22. I think TPR was probably the first site I found a couple of years back, when I first started getting interested. I visited on & off over the last couple of years. Joined Westcoaster later on last year to follow Robb's Japan trip, and at some point, I think I registered my interest in the DVD, but never bought one, so I started getting emails from the site. I got an email at the start of this year, telling me that some forums had opened, so i thought I might as well join.
  23. Hahaha, scrap shit of boots, classic! Its in English, in France too, how weird. Walibi Lorraine looks like quite nice little park from those photos, maybe one to consider for the future.
  24. Think i'll be visiting my local american sweet shop at some point soon to see if I can get hold of some, sounds awesome to me! Anything with 'a kick of sour' is onto a winner in my eyes!
  25. ^While both Betis & Anderlecht may both seem like fairly easy fixtures, I don't think either can be underestimated, especially when you can lose 1-0 to CSKA Sofia! Sorry, bitter Everton fan... Betis have of course got Denilson in the side, and while he never really lived up to his early promise, he's still a definite threat to any defence. Being an Everton fan, i'm going to relish seeing the Chelsea-Liverpool games again! I'm also looking forward to seeing Man Utd playing Villarreal, as having been (unfairly) knocked out by them, I know they're a team who could go far, especially with players like Riquelme in the side, awesome skill!
