  1. I've seen them E-stop Popeye and Bluto's due to something similar. Here's a neat fact, it takes about 45min to an hour to get the entire canal filled with water. They probably evacuated them because of this... they didn't want the passengers sitting in the boats while the canal was filling because there could be a mishap. Great trip report though. Alpengiest had that stupid trim turned on when I was there last year as well. But the mid course was turned off not complaining either.
  2. Look at the ride op... he's on his cellphone. Though, I guess this is to be expected.
  3. Haha, was anyone else thinking Snakes & Ladders?
  4. ^ They dropped the F-bomb once. I'm not really a fan of foamy... but this one was quite funny
  5. Now the question is, which one was better? Jazzland or HRP? We saw what happened with Jazzland, it basically died and got sold off to Six Flags... could you imagine? Come visit Six Flags: Rock n' Roll World! because it would be some cheesy name like that.
  6. I've ridden Hulk about 20x in one day (Park was dead) Kumba 20x in one day (Why is it that this ride is always a walk-on when it's not summer?) Dueling Dragons Fire and Ice 25x in on day but on separate days (Again, park was DEAD) Dr Doom 35x in one day (Hurray for single riders!) Kraken is my most ridden in one day at 40x (Yay for offseason/school day)
  7. Hard Rock Park doesn't look like it quite lived up to the hype On the other hand, you're amazing because you went to Little 5-Point in ATL. I LOVE THAT PLACE. The burgers at Vortex are truly amazing. I want one now
  8. Man, Moscow is crazy. I thought traffic here in Orlando was stupid... nothing can compare to that though. Did you ride the Ferris Wheel, or was it SBNO? I don't think I would've ridden it even if it was working... well, maybe Nice TR, some of the architecture over there is awesome, too. - Mike "I would've peed in the bush before I stepped foot in those portopotties" Redig
  9. Tell me she was smart enough to take her ear rings off before riding Mind Eraser, especially if riding the back row... Something tells me she isn't.
  10. Nudity in 3D!? I changed my mind... I'm all about this movie
  11. I have to post a reply about Dragonforce. Guitar Hero 3 is what made them popular. The song is difficult on Expert and so everyone downloaded the song/album. They have no musical talent. Ever seen a video of them live? They dumb down "Through the fire and flames" SO much. The fast guitar riffs and solos, they can't even pull off. Sorry, but Dragonforce is a very overproduced band. Also, the name. Dragonforce? Seriously... Dragonforce...
  12. I believe it was the same one then, haha. He was great. Even let me ride the front row twice because there was no one in the queue when they opened it back up.
  13. I went to SFA last summer around April/May and it was fine. The entrance was nice and all the rides were running. I do admit that it shouldn't take 15min to dispatch a train for Batwing seeing how Kings Island can do it in 5min or less. I saw no gangs, drug deals, or fights... but I was only there from about 11am until 3pm. In that time I got multiple rides on Wild One, Roar, Jokers Jinx and Superman. Superman had one train operation which caused the line to be about 20min for the front and 10min for the back... did I mention that there was NOBODY at the park? Jokers Jinx, TwoFace, Mind Eraser, Wild One, and Roar were walk-ons the entire day. I even got to sit in the FRONT seat of Jokers Jinx three times in a row because there was no one else in the queue. The ride selection was good, especially Wild One and Roar. Now, for my A+ story towards SFA The last coaster we had to ride at the park was Roar. We walked up the queue to find out that it had been closed down because of a mechanical issue. It had been closed for 10min they said. All the ride ops were sitting out on benches in front of the ride. Now, they were cursing and joking around... but who doesn't these days? We got into a conversation and they asked why I was visiting the park. I said I was on a roller coaster tour on the east coast with my friend. I told them I keep track of the rides I have ridden, they laughed and called me a dork, I smiled and said "I know". I asked them how bad the mechanical issue was with the ride. They said they had no idea, that it had been breaking down for the past week and had been closed more than open. Damn, just my luck, right? Well, something happened then that I did not expect to happen. The head ride op (Thank you if you're reading this!) called the mechanics on this radio and told them "There's a guy and his friend here that traveled from Florida to ride our rides, can you get over here and fix it?" I heard a "10-4" from the other side. A few minutes later 3 mechanics walk up to the coaster. Within 15min, the ride was fixed. I was not expecting that from SFA after all the negative reviews I read about the park. But to me, it was a great park with a good selection of rides. I'd go back.
  14. Fixed. Now, only if it were true
  15. I'll be picking one up.
  16. I must say, this is looking incredible. Your focus on detail is excellent. Great job.
  17. Got the album. It's alright, nothing really stood out for me. I still enjoy Believe and The Sickness the best. I enjoy the Solos in this album though. Downloaded "Indestructible", "Inside the Fire", and "Perfect Insanity" for Rock Band. Doublebass Pedal is difficult on expert, but do-able (At least my boyfriend can do it). The guitar parts are fun, except for "Indestructible", haven't tried bass guitar or vocals yet.
  18. /agree I love Muse, and I want Matthew Bellamy's babies
  19. Whoever that Jay person is, he's a moron. It was the park's decision to put OTSR's on Revolution (And Zonga... or whatever it's called now). Montezuma's Revenge at Knott's has an inversion (Or two, depending on how you think of it) and it only has a lap bar. It's not a California regulation, it was just Six Flag's decision. I just think that Six Flag also killed those two coasters by adding OTSR's to them.
  20. Lol, sorry Elissa, I had to BTW, Sherbet Island... Speeding past you at the last second before the finish line with a star. At least I wasn't last All in good fun
