  1. RB2 is releasing a cymbal pack on 11/16 at Best Buy. Some lucky folks got them earlier and put up screen shots and videos of the new addon. It's a double pack for $30 or a triple pack for $40. Here's a video of it in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgeR2O-x-8g Looks pretty nifty, love the fact that each cymbal makes a new sound (Crash, Ride, and Hi-Hat) so now you can play the songs more accurately if you wish.
  2. Well, what's Islands of Adventure? I get what you're saying though. BTW, I live right outside of Casselberry, haha. EDIT: Also, by the looks of the layout, it seems that the exit to the Pretzel Loop threads through the Pretzel Loop itself. Seems like we're going to have a really sharp turn right there.
  3. I just bought LittleBigPlanet for the PS3. OMG, how cute! I was actually laughing throughout the time that I've played. The worlds are so intricate. I've been waiting for a game like this, kind of like Yoshi's Story on N64, a good solid platformer. I haven't gotten too far into the game yet, but I can't seem to collect 100% of the items in any level except the first, I guess I have some better searching to do. I also love how in the level creator everything is customizable. I started work on one level, but I want to unlock more objects. Has anyone else picked this game up? Add me on PSN: KrakenKing
  4. Ooo, layout I like the two flat spins... for some reason I've always liked the ending one on the Superman:UF coasters. Though, I thought it was going to be a bit longer... but who cares, Orlando is finally getting a flier
  5. I don't feel like going back and quoting the person that said "Does anyone really care" about the drummer's graphics in the game. I personally look at every aspect of a game, from the smallest things (Signs on doors, people in the background, etc.) to what the game is actually about. Games that have a lot of rich detail do it for me. It doesn't feel like the game has just been pushed out to get people to buy it. I know GHWT and RB is just a "Fret Board" with notes coming down it and you accurately hitting them. But let's take it beyond that... for visual play, I find RB more appealing. I've been hearing A LOT of complaints about the sensitivity of the GHWT drum set, and the sturdiness of it. Activision did release a sensitivity patch through PC, but you have to buy an extra cord so you can attach your drum set to your computer to get the sensitivity better. Those that have Linux/Apple are SOL right now. The new RB2 Drum set is awesome. Big improvement from the original. The drums are quieter, are more responsive, the bass pedal is metal now so it won't snap, and the framework of the set is much sturdier.
  6. I noticed in videos that the drummer in GHWT is not playing the real drum beat... but in RB2, the drummer is. Interesting.
  7. CoD4 on PC. Level 55 right now, everything is unlocked and most of the challenges are complete. XFire is k4m1kaz3x add me if you want to play.
  8. Eating doesn't affect me in any way. I could eat tons of Fast Food or Park Food and ride my next coaster immediately, no matter how intense the ride. I have a very strong stomach.
  9. It's not necessarily failed logic. Many people are into the Music Game Franchise... these games having the highest selling rate of many of the games that are coming out. People critique other video games with flaws. So why aren't we able to critique how the game is made? We're aware that the controller has only 5 buttons and a real guitar has 6 strings. It's just the fun of playing the game. Activision took Guitar Hero and butchered it with adding unneeded double and triple chords throughout songs, as well as placing the notes randomly on the fret board. Everyone knows that the closer you get to the top of the neck, the lower the frequency is supposed to be, and when you get lower on the neck, the higher the frequency. It just seems like some of the notes are plopped in the wrong area. To me it's no fun playing synth/piano parts during a song on a guitar controller. If they wanted me to play synth or piano, they should've included a keyboard controller as well.
  10. So you know, Radiohead will never preform this song again... EVER. They absolutely hate this song and just forget that it even exists. Look at the lyrics to their other song "My Iron Lung"... it's basically talking trash about Creep. "This, this is our new song Just like the last one A total waste of time My iron lung" Basically saying that if it weren't for the Radio-Friendliness of that song, no one would know who they are. And that they were only recognized for that one song.
  11. Yes, I am not a fan of playing keyboard in songs. I know Rock Band does it too (Nine Inch Nails and Bostin's "Smokin'") But come on... Dragonforce wouldn't be half as hard if you didn't have to play that ***tty keyboard.
  12. I went tonight. Went into Scary Tales III, Creatures, and Doomsday. Scary Tales III was the best in my opinion. Doomsday was lame because it was still light outside. I'll probably be going again in a few weeks to finish up the houses and see the shows. I also ran into Erik Johnson (Good to see you again Erik) while in line. He was waiting for another house.
  13. Just gotta say, Allison's face on El Toro is amazing. These pics are making me regret not doing the EC trip Oh well... Next year some of you may be seeing me again
  14. Well, at SFoG on Superman the line just split into two when it reached the loading station. Then you could choose any line you wanted (Unless it was really busy, then they'd assign you a row. But if you asked politely, they'd let you choose.) TTD, you chose if you wanted to load into the first, or second train. Kingda Ka, they assigned you a side of the station, then you chose which train (1st or 2nd) you wanted, and chose which row you wanted as well. I think Manta will assign station sides and rows (Except if you want front) when it first opens just for crowd control. At least this is what they did on SheiKra the first day it opened.
  15. I just gotta say. Why isn't this in "What are you listening to now?" Why does Slipknot (Of all bands...) need it's own seperate thread?
  16. These come to mind: Hulk Kumba Hypersonic Son of Beast Batman and Robin: Chiller
  17. Already on Rock Band. (DLC/RB2) Also, remember. Oct 19th or sometime around there, Hermonix is going to announce/release 20 DLC songs for FREE. Making RB2 have over 100 tracks. 500+ (RB1/DLC) songs by the end of the year. Have fun catching up Activision
  18. All the more reason to have an XBox 360. Reading is helpful
  19. Do you have a PS3? If so, go into the Playstation Store and download that "Song Transport Key" or whatever for $5. This download will also allow the GH3 guitar to be used with Rock Band now. I actually just figured this out yesterday. Lol. Hurray for being able to have Guitar and Bass now
  20. ^^ No, I'm talking about charts like the Disturbed, Queens of the Stone Age, and Slipknot songs. They just weren't fun. Rock Band's take on "3's and 7's" was much better in my opinion.
  21. ^ I agree. The whole presentation of the rectangular notes is nice. It looks more "Clean" than the circular notes do. I think they're easier to read as well. Also, the note charts are pure fun. I haven't really found a song that I don't really want to play. Sure, some of them are difficult ("Afterlife" - Avenged Sevenfold and Megadeth's album come to mind) but at least they're charted well and the notes aren't plopped everywhere. If GH didn't have so many chords (2 and 3 buttons held at once) it would be fun. But I think that, as mentioned above, Activision got thrown into this and took someone from their design team to chart the songs that had absolutely no idea how to chart them to the music.
