  1. Anyone want a copy of GH:WT? $20, haha. Seriously though, I picked it up at Circuit City when it was $25. To me, it wasn't even worth that. I thought the Tool songs were going to be fun, but on Guitar and Bass they're EXTREMELY repetitive. Assassin is the only song I really play on it. I will admit the charting of the songs has gotten a lot better since GH:3 The DLC (Downloadable Content) that has released for GH:WT hasn't caught my interest except for 3 songs so far. GH:WT has been releasing DLC for about 31 weeks now, and there are only 3 songs that I would *Want* to download. Rock Band, in it's first 31 weeks, I've bought 86 of the songs released for download. Including two Full Albums (Pixies - Doolittle and The Cars - The Cars) Rock Band just has a lot more songs that I really want and enjoy playing. Big surprise for me this past week with Alien Ant Farm's "Smooth Criminal" becoming DLC. Here's a list of Rock Band's DLC: Rock Band DLC Here's Guitar Hero's: GH:WT DLC
  2. Two of the times the ride malfunctioned today, I was on it. Just my luck, haha. The splash effect is back on full force, it's even bigger than it was the first day it opened. When I rode on the right side, I stuck my hand out and hit the water splash with no problem... but I got pretty wet and the person behind me got soaked. Oops
  3. It does tend to get the queue held back, especially in the large ray tank area of the queue. But it only takes them about a minute to realize that the line has moved, so it's not too bad.
  4. I heard a few coaster enthusiasts say they like Manta over Tatsu, but then I heard an equal amount that preferred Tatsu. I think it comes down to ride experience. Tatsu is really high up in the air, and from the ones that said they liked Tatsu better, that was their main point. Others that said Manta was better liked that it used its surroundings better. I've never been on Tatsu, but the pretzel loop is really intense on Manta in the back row. Honestly, I haven't felt more positive G's on any of the 200+ coasters I've ridden except for Hypersonic XLC's launch.
  5. I was there today as well. I got to the park around 12PM and waited in front of the ride area which looks INCREDIBLE, by the way. I talked to a few of the GM's around the ride and 4 out of 5 said the ride would be soft opening today. So I decided to stick around. At 1:30 or so, the ride started testing. At 2:25PM the ride opened, and I was lucky enough to be on the first train, front row, of the public. That makes 2 for 2 for Sea World. The ride itself is wonderful, it really does glide and play with it's surroundings perfectly. On the outside seats of either side, in the back row, you do get you a little wet from either the waterfall, or the water skim. Best row for me was the back, you get so much G-Force, much more than on S:UF's. But I heard from a few people that Tatsu is better, but that is probably a given. The inside of the queue was beautiful, with the tanks of fish and rays. Along the queue you can also find many "Hidden Manta's" just like the Hidden Mickey's at Disney. I think I found about 8. I got to ride four times, twice in back (Left and Right side), once in row 6, and once in the front. The wait was never more than 25min. Great ride, I hope to go back on Monday and ride it again! Pics may or may not come soon, my camera is giving me problems. SeaWorld defiantly received a winner though!
  6. Ahh, I've never seen or... I guess, payed attention to Tatsu's floor. Does it cause any problems, like guests slipping?
  7. Notice that the floor doesn't have a drop floor like S:UF or other Flyers? Interesting...
  8. ^ Yeah, I'd also try getting there during it's soft opening instead of opening day. I was talking to another manager yesterday in front of the ride and they said they're expecting wait times in excess of 6 to 7 hours on the 22nd. Wouldn't surprise me seeing how SheiKra had a 7hr line after we got off after only waiting an hour for our ride.
  9. Soft opening on May 1st I was told by a lady manager at the rides enterance. She said it would be open for two to three hours but no specific time was given. I know I'll be there all day.
  10. The most interesting thing about that article are the stupid comments made by people.
  11. Yeah, I saw that as well! She did some great covers. More talent than Justin himself!?
  12. I saw that this morning, actually. Really, good for her! She's extremely talented and should take her career elsewhere. I agree with Terry, there are TONS of amazing singers out there, but since they don't have good looks, they don't get a record. Oh, and her Facebook Fan Page is getting 400+ adds per minute! Nope, some of them look like this! - Mike "After looking up "Scottish Woman" in Google Images" Redig
  13. Dehydration maybe? Try drinking more Water, Sam, and see if that helps. Nice seeing you at Sea World by the way! Hope you got to see Manta test. Back on topic: I hardly get that feeling anymore. The last time I got it was doing a SCAD tower, but with Coasters... hmm, I think The Voyage was the last true "Stomach in mouth" feeling for me on a coaster, almost Millennium Force. It's been a while since I've ridden a coaster though, so maybe that feeling will be back now.
  14. Two separate shows.
  15. Because it is kinda moronic when you have to scroll through 4 pages of trash to find any real updates.
  16. There is no solid proof of this happening. No pictures, no press release, no nothing. That picture Wes had of the Intamin track was just that, Intamin track. This is getting way out of hand.
  17. Right with the release of "The Beatles: Rock Band". Being a big Beatles fan as well as a fan of the game Rock Band, I'll be picking up most of the remastered albums as well as the game. I know what I'll be doing on 9/9/09, having a fatty and listening to see if they butchered the sound or if it kept it's integrity.
  18. Have four lined up right now: The Offspring Coldplay U2/Muse Incubus Great year for concerts! Too bad 311 and Depeche Mode sold out before I could get tickets.
  19. From Wikipedia: "Manta rays are very rarely kept in captivity, primarily due to their size. Only four aquariums in the world have manta rays on display." Says that one Manta lives in an aquarium that holds 6.2million gallons of water. So I can kind of see why they wouldn't put a Manta near the ride.
  20. Great shots! I've always wanted to visit Carowinds, but I've heard so many negative things about it, but it seems like Cedar Fair may be stepping up their game. On a side not: May I ask what camera you're using? Also, is there a way to see the pics in a higher resolution? A website or something?
  21. Artist: Incubus Song: Stellar Album: Make Yourself
  22. After seeing the ride built and the first half without walls and with shrubbery put in, and the second half as well, I say the original concept art we saw was "Pretty" close to what was actually created. So after seeing the concept art of the exhibit for non-riders and the ones for the queue, I have really high expectations for this.
  23. So, is anyone else wondering why there's this "grass path" with no fence? Could it be for private events? Or are you actually able to go walk under the ride if you wanted?
  24. I went last week and it was pretty crowded. We were able to ride P-Flyers with no problem. Same with the last few visits to the park. I heard they lifted the height restriction.
