  1. After never having been to the West Coast, this event will make me never forget my first visit! I truly recommend it to everyone. Thank you Robb, Elissa, and everyone else that made this trip absolutely spectacular! Great Rides, ERT, Food, People... everything! Can't wait for next year! I think I'll even make a week out of it.
  2. I've never had an issue with Gwazi either, well... only if I ride the front row do I not have a problem with it. Any other row besides the front beats the hell out of me, so I'll take that extra five-ten minute wait for the front seat. I'm really excited that they're testing out Millennium Flyers on Gwazi though! After riding Kentucky Rumbler the first thought that went through my mind was, I want them on Gwazi, and now they've arrived! Maybe this move from Busch wasn't such a bad idea, unless these upgrades/new attractions were already in the works when the parks were sold.
  3. Man, just got back from vacation in Atlanta, read this TR, saw a photo of Publix and realized that I have work tomorrow (I work at Publix). But anyway, looks like you had an awesome time! Nice pictures of HRRR and Hogwarts! I haven't seen pictures of Harry Potter World in a while, looks like a lot of progress has been made.
  4. I just signed up for WCB and booked my flight, I can't wait! Getting there two days early to do some sightseeing with Jay (ElToroExtreme) I also want to know the answer about Revolution's OTSR's, but I'll wait until the Q&A.
  5. New in 2012 from Apple! The iTampon! Dumb name, dumb machine... I'll wait for 2nd Gen (In hopes that it's better and larger)
  6. I was saying it's better for you than taking an Oxycontin. No addiction = better. Also, some days at work are stressful, not talking every day though. Should have made that more clear I guess.
  7. And since when did marijuana become artificial? From what I understand, it grows from the earth... naturally. Nobody made marijuana for it's use as a drug. Ever take a Tylenol? Sorry, but you just altered your body in a truly artificial fashion. Actually, a lot of Tylenol products where I work were recalled recently due to people getting sick from taking it. That's what happens when you have a chemistry lab creating synthetic drugs, you never know when something like that may happen. You can't change the ingredients to a natural product such as Marijuana, sure you can add some, but the THC will always be there. Nrthwnd, I agree with the money that the Gov't would make if they legalized Marijuana. If California does it, didn't that article say they'd get a few million dollars each year from the sales? Now, what if the country did it? That would be the true Stimulus package.
  8. Anything that alters the chemical balance? Hmm.. how about adrenaline? Doesn't that alter the chemical balances in your body? So every time you ride a roller coaster, you risk getting a mental illness? Hmm... let us ponder. You're giving absolutely no sustainable argument to this topic besides repeating yourself.... your username title is sorta speaking for itself.
  9. Eh, I know what some people are saying about a "Metal Illness" I smoke every day.. multiple times a day on days off. I'm perfectly fine and can function normally in the real world. Now, I don't use it before going to work because work has me moving around quite a bit. But after work, it's nice to be able to light up a joint to help relax the nerves. Much better than taking an Oxycontin! Now, for the "Mental Illness", yes, some people after smoking marijuana don't respect it. They make complete asses of themselves out in public (School, work, I've even seen it around their family). Giggling and whatnot. You just have to learn how to not abuse it and use it in controlled situations first so you get comfortable with the effects. I usually tend to stay home and listen to music, or, there have been occasions when we go to a theme park high... NOTHING better than riding SheiKra, H:RRR, or Manta while flying high (No pun intended). Paranoia can be a side-effect or "Mental Illness" of smoking marijuana, but really, it's all in your head. When you've come to know the effect of smoking the herb, paranoia is virtually non-existent. My first encounter with someone smoking marijuana, they had a paranoia attack that their mother was on the way home. Did that deter me from smoking later in life? No, because I did my research and found out that it happens sometimes. Chance to take I guess.
  10. $850 Core 2 Quad Processor Q8300 2.50GHz K'Nex Double Dare Dueling Coaster Candles Jeans & Shirts
  11. I have a track made, the final turn isn't banked correctly and I'm too lazy to fix it... also too lazy to support the ride. But the track is done. template_120.nltrack
  12. That first day, when it was raining on the trip, it rained almost ALL day. The park opened at 8am for the Hotel Guests, while we were waiting for the gates to open, it started sprinkling. The gates finally opened at 8 and everyone ran over to Maverick. I was among the first few in line. Running up to the coaster, we found it was closed (Along with the other coasters) due to the "rain". So we waited.... and waited... and waited some more. The coaster started testing around 2pm when the rain was starting to let up, but another storm rolled in within 15 minutes. Come 3:30 the rain finally clears, they test the ride (Five times for each train), so after 25 cycles, they finally open the ride at 4pm. There are photos from the trip where a few of us were waiting at the front of the line from 8am to 5pm when the ride opened. Yes, we waited 8 hours to ride Maverick that day. Most of the TPR people ended up leaving the line and going to TGI Friday's in the Breakers Hotel to wait for the rain to clear. That was a fun day.
  13. This is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever read. Anywhere. Quoted for truth. Amazing!
  14. I don't see why so many people are against it besides the propaganda that's put out by the government to make it seem bad. Marijuana became illegal because the inventor of the paper machine found Hemp (Not necessarily the marijuana) to be a huge competitor of paper. Hemp has many benefits, for example, the clothes I'm wearing now are made out of hemp. It's lighter than normal cotton/polyester, much more durable, and the colors don't fade! I have awful stress issues sometimes, to the point where I basically have a nervous breakdown. A few puffs of marijuana, and I stop shaking and can sort things out, it really does help. It's a natural substance that grows from the ground, it was never artificially made. I don't like taking conventional medicine that was made in a chemistry lab somewhere if there's a more natural way to fix the problem. Now, I know it's not for everyone. It does in fact make some people seem stupid. But for example, I have a 3.7 right now in my Junior year in college, it has not affected my grades at all. I know a few people that are burnouts whom I've known since elementary school even. The reality of it is though, they weren't very enthusiastic about much of anything even when they were younger, it kind of seemed that they were destined to turn out that way. It just seems that people see the lazy "Pot heads" and throw that stereotype out to others that use it for recreational or medical purposes. Now, take this as you will, but this is just my observation of it.
  15. I know nothing of "Yo Gabba Gabba", but at least the idea would be original, and could make for some interesting new rides. Personally though, I think I've had my share of Sesame and Nickelodeon themed spaces.
  16. One of the best parts of the Midwest Trip, if I do say so myself. 16 consecutive rides on Kentucky Rumbler, can't really ask for more!
  17. I picked up NSMB:Wii as well tonight and my Roomies and I played 3-player multiplayer for 2.5hrs. It's a great game so far! But we've only gotten to the second world, first castle. I will say it takes some time getting used to having other players on the screen. You can push eachother, pick eachother up, and even land on eachothers heads. All of these things can lead to accidentally killing your teammates. Throwing objects such as barrels, ice blocks, turtle shells, etc into the other players will kill them as well. One round I threw a turtle shell, hit both my roomies, then it bounced back and hit me... I got an ear-full, haha.
  18. It's also just as easy going on Safari over the 3G network they have in the park and heading to here, ioacentral, or screamscape. Here are some interesting apps: The Game of Life ($4.99) - Nice app for your friends and yourself to waste some time while waiting in lines. You can have up to 4 players, and the game itself is pretty long. The graphics are also pretty good with it's full 3D environments. SimCity ($4.99) - A port of the popular SimCity 3000 with full touch interface. You can have multiple cities saved which is a cool feature, and if you need to close the app quickly for a call or IM, it'll save your place in the game. Chipotle (Free) - If you like Chipotle, you'll like the app. Order online, pay with a credit card, and choose the time you'll be there to pick it up. You may need some chipotlaway after getting this app. Rolando 2 ($4.99) - If you like side scrollers such as Mario or Little Big Planet, you'll love this puzzle solving platformer. Easy tilt controls and touch interface with many levels in the game. Pandora (Free) - Listen to the music you like, whenever you want. It's Pandora! For your iPhone! RadioBox ($.99) - Search through thousands of online radio stations through popular clients such as ShoutCast or import your favorite online stations straight into it and stream whenever you'd like. UrbanSpoon (Free) - Don't know what to eat? Shake your iPhone and have UrbanSpoon choose for you. You can pick your location, style of food you're craving, and how expensive. Perfect for those late night moments where you can't figure out where to get your munchie foods. Wolfenstein 3D Platinum ($1.99) - All 60 classic levels are here to play in this awesome FPS with touch interface. Just as hard as I remembered back in the day. I'll post more if I find any more interesting ones.
  19. I always thought Mindbender at SFoG was the best coaster from the 70's I've been on, but Wizzer at SFGAm comes close too.
  20. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate right now as an upgrade with all files and settings transfered. I've only gotten about an hour of use out of it though, but here are my thoughts: It boots faster, Vista took about 90 to 120 seconds to boot from the loading screen to the desktop. Windows 7 does it in a minute or less. The Task bar is great! Includes the option to put different programs in it for easier access. When using firefox you can minimize and bring back the page you were on. When having more than one instance of Firefox running, they'll be stacked, and when clicked on, will spread out horizontally, allowing you to click the instance of firefox you want. When iTunes is minimized, I can hover over it with my mouse in the taskbar, and it will pop up with a small picture of iTunes in it's current state as well as the Songtitle, Artist, and Album. Alt+Tab is much faster between programs, especially games to desktop and back. CTRL+ALT+DEL as well as starting the Task Manager is much quicker. Terminating a program will terminate it without hesitation, even a program that uses a lot of resources. So, yes, I still like Windows and can't wait to find out more.
  21. Sorry to bring this back, just read it. Kumba + Fourth of July = Amazing You can see fireworks for MILES around. Even more amazing when the parks fireworks are going off as well.
  22. There really haven't been any major problems with Rockit for the past few weeks, minus a few minor breakdowns and switching out of trains, etc. You should have a 98% of being able to ride it, don't worry!
