  1. Those nighttime/dusk Spaceship Earth shots were to die for! I can't view enough EPCOT pictures.
  2. Yeah, the dvd is absolutely fantastic. For those of you interested in purchasing the dvd, but aren't quite sure yet, read my review here. Keep up the great work.
  3. How have you gone so long without a Dole Whip? That is truly a sad thing to hear. Great pictures!
  4. Great pictures, and captions! Definitely an enjoyable read .
  5. ^ Six Flags Discovery Kingdom was Marine World prior to being owned by Six Flags (Hell that park has gone through more hands and name changes then I can shake a stick at). Before it was a Six Flags park it was an animal park, like a zoo I suppose. And when Six Flags bought the park they retained to animals as that adds a great deal of atmosphere to the park.
  6. I know I'm a terrible person for saying so, but this is a little funny. I mean how random is it that some guy gets arrested for punching a camel? He deserves to be fined for trespassing and assault(?) at least then it gives the state some money instead of sending him to our over crowded prisons.. "So what are you in for" "I assaulted a camel"
  7. I need to watch the video again, but this "hallway of screens" idea could work if each screen is themed to a carnival booth. As in you have the screen and then some kind of booth like structure wrapping around the screen. So that you could, in essence forget the screen was there altogether. That would also provide a good transition - you're just going from booth to booth playing your favorite carnival games!
  8. ^ Oh okay, gotcha. I take back my previous statement, haha.
  9. They're both right, and they're both wrong as far as I'm concerned. Yes, hardcore Disney fans whine far too much about things that really don't matter. But then, I would hardly call an acoustical problem "minor", that's a pretty big deal. On a side note, where did "F'ing Mania" come from? I just find it interesting that people say that enthusiasts complain too much but then referring to the ride they haven't experienced rather rudely..
  10. I'm almost positive that Silverwood is privately owned, although I could be mistaken. Nice report, I wonder if they could move any slower with Aftershock.. hmm..
  11. Every time I have been to Magic Mountain, Vipers crew has always been one of the best. Whether this is motivation, pride in their ride, or it's just plainly easier to operate that ride has one hell of a crew. Keep up the great work guys!
  12. ^ They do? Seriously? Who would have thought those college degrees actually mean anything!? I always thought it would have been a good idea to have people loading in the former unload spot and the current load spot. I'll be interested to see how they end up running this baby to maximize capacity.
  13. Wow, great commercials! I love the Magic Mountain commercials where they still had the balls to try to compare themselves to Disneyland! Then there were the Toontown commercials.. still one of the silliest decisions Disney ever made as far as I'm concerned. I'm sad to see these come to an end, I've really enjoyed viewing them all. Thanks!
  14. They just need to raise the speed of the lift hill.. Oh wait.. this isn't Roller Coaster Tycoon..
  15. It's been a few years, but last time I rode it I remember it being glassy smooth. What is Six Flags doing to my baby .
  16. I love floorless coasters, no matter what row you're in it definitely adds to the over all experience. Medusa West's first drop in the front row =
  17. The coolest part about this ride are the trains, no question about it. The way the seating works as far as capacity and comfort is concerned will make or break this ride for me.
  18. Can't Get It Right Today - Joe Purdy
  19. Just Can't Get It Right Today - Joe Purdy
  20. That all sounds really cool! Great pictures, and report.
  21. I'm not saying that someone leaving line to go to the bathroom and coming back in isn't line cutting, but I'm certainly not going to stop said person. But then, I don't think it's a park guests - enthusiast or not - place to stop line cutters. The best thing to do is report the guest to park security, it's because people try to handle the problem themselves that fights get started.
  22. I've always been of the mind that if I see someone leave the line - especially if it's a little kid to go to the bathroom, then come back in I don't have a problem with it. Whether or not that's technically line cutting is irrelevant. Kids don't always have as much.. control of these things as those older, who know before they get in line if they're gonna need to go to the bathroom.
  23. I've been on a couple wipeouts and they're some of the greatest flat rides out there. One of the few rides on which I have feared for my life. I did the one at Marine World, Knott's and The Santa Cruz Boardwalk I believe.. so that would make three.
  24. And then when you have to go to the bathroom.. you're screwed. They should put a bathroom in certain queues.
  25. That's interesting. I wonder how long drink partnerships like this last? Is it ten year agreement? Or perhaps fifty? I'd be very interested to find out.
