  1. I'm in the same boat. It is true that Bizarro isn't a character that has been used significantly (if at all) in any of the films or the tv show (to the best of my knowledge anyway) but I think it is pretty easy to tell he's a bad dude. Hopefully some queue theming will sell the ride.
  2. Definitely the Haunted Mansion for me, fantastic experience. As far as coasters go, I'd say either Big Thunder, the Revenge of the Mummy or The Matterhorn!
  3. I think it would be foolhardy to assume that one new kiddie area would "bring the families by the thousands" but it certainly gives the park a more balanced portfolio. I've come to realize that it's going to take a LOT to get past the park's very not family image, and a couple kiddie areas.. just won't cut it. The park is indeed moving in the right direction, but it will inevitably take some time to get there.
  4. Doesn't everyone know who Bizarro Superman is? :S I always thought he was a staple "well known" super man villain.. Perhaps it isn't as well known as I once thought though.
  5. Well when they say that there will be theming that will surpass that of Batman's... It's not like there won't be any. I was merely curious about how extensive it will be. I suppose I care a little too much about the theming .
  6. ^ Its not like they just decide they want to go prom a stool prop to deciding they want to order a moving animatronic. That's not cheap hardware. As far as the "wooden coasters doesn't need theming" comment, most wooden coasters aren't generally themed around a multi million dollar film franchise..
  7. I only suggested Intamin because I think it would be good for Magic Mountain to be able to differentiate their tower from the two drop towers "down the road" (both of which are S&S). I suppose the Kentucky 'incident' slipped my mind!
  8. Really? That's a little disappointing, but I suppose I understand the financial aspects of the decision..
  9. ^^ However it would be a (relatively) cheap way to bring that area of the park to life. I would say the topic could be compared to beating a dead horse (or donkey?) but at least in this discussion.. It's relevant! I'd love to see an Intamin drop tower come to the park.. or a Screamin' Swing:]. Wishful thinking, but I do agree that a ride other than a coaster should be considered!
  10. I know I'm a little "late to the party" as it were, but I haven't been "on track" with the coaster scene lately and just bought the steel portion of "RAW 2" for my iPod the other day to get me "back in the groove" and I have to say it was fantastic! The POV's were incredibly life-like, unlike anything I've seen in POV's before.. The Mystery Mine one especially was great - I felt like I was on the ride! Thanks for making these available for iPods, Robb, I don't have a functioning DVD player handy right now (it's killin' me man) and this worked perfectly! Keep up the fantastic work!
  11. Hmm.. I blame the lighting! Nice Batman car find! I've found the greatest cars in the Disneyland parking structure.. I should try to find my picture of the hearse!
  12. Not to be all "non-coaster enthusiasty" but how can they possibly justify three coasters in back to back years in not only their own financial difficulties, but the difficulties that our entire economy is facing right now? Granted, I'm not putting much wait on what this "Jamal" guy says, but rumors are fun I suppose.
  13. I'd love to eat there one day, merely to say that I've done it. I'd also like to be able to afford to eat there (let alone get in!). And I think I must be color blind.. that monorail looks red to me.. Oh, and great pictures!
  14. Good to see they hired real professional actors for this movie.. I want James Cameron back . I'm glad to hear that the theming will be superior to Batman's, I'm curious to see how "animated" (fluid) the Terminator's they get for this ride will be...
  15. I'm really happy to see Mr. Six come back! I loved that commercial campaign, it always got me excited for my "annual" Six Flags Marine World trip :]. Speaking of advertising characters... I think Six Flags could greatly profit from having The Joker character roam around in Gotham City. The Joker is one of the most wildly popular pop culture characters around right now, and I think that would be a huge success. Just my 2 cents .
  16. Nowadays I just stick my tongue in my cheek and enjoy the insanity of it all .
  17. I saw Barry Bonds at Disneyland once.. oh and Christopher Lloyd at Universal Studios! (Does it count though if it was a media day? Hmm)
  18. Great trip report.. I'm dying to get out there! I look at the video for their Monster's Inc. ride and all I can think is.. DCA got screwed :S. (Granted, I know that the ride is the way it is because they merely rethemed an old attraction.)
  19. I really appreciated the updates, very informative! Thank you very much for keeping us non-attendees in the loop as it were.
  20. I believe that Silver Bullet is "sanded" as well. Yes, my knowledge does seem to be contained within the confines of my home park(s) :S.
  21. ^ Seriously, that's some cell phone camera! Thanks for the pictures, I'm really interested to see how they do the queue on this...
  22. ^ I wish I could say the same, that ride did absolutely nothing for me the first, second or third time I rode it :S.
  23. Those are some great pictures! Thanks for sharing them . This ride looks fantastic.
  24. I looooooove Screaming Swings! It makes me sad that the only one in close proximity to me (Knott's) is a pay per ride.
