  1. ^ Yeah, we have a lot of stuff that isn't as good as it's sister park somewhere else.
  2. My 2007 Six Flags Magic Mountain map is spoken for. So now I have: Universal Studios Hollywood Park Schedule Knott's Berry Farm Show Schedule And I'll be getting the following within a month and a half:: Six Flags Magic Mountain 2009 Disneyland Map 2009
  3. I don't have a lot of duplicate maps, but I can certainly pick up some Disneyland maps the next time I'm down there. I have a "Park Schedule" from Universal Studios Hollywood, 2007. It still has Back to the Future on it, if that means anything to anyone. It makes me happy, haha. I also have a Knott's Show Schedule from 2007 and a Six Flags Magic Mountain Park Map from 2007. PM me if you're interested .
  4. The few times I went to Great America when I lived up there the wait for Demon was never more than five minutes, even during the summer. So.. I don't know what kind of delay this could be if the wait times for this ride are the same as I remember.
  5. Then I wouldn't risk it. Knott's closes everything when it rains, just like Cedar Point.. hmph.
  6. I always have (and still do) say no way. Spring Breakers (I hear Myrtyle Beach is a popular spot for that) have better things to spend their money on when the beach is right there, and free.
  7. It's just a logo, and I don't think it's an especially bad one. On the flipside, I'm not buying a T-Shirt with a pink guitar roller coaster on it. So maybe it is pretty bad.
  8. Heading down the road? I think it started on that road to begin with. It just hit a big pothole on it's journey along the Epic Road of Failure. The car is now in a ditch, and on fire. Sweet.
  9. I'm more of a "Holy crap!" kinda rider. I'll yell stuff when I get really beat up (Ah.. Ghostrider.. rough love ftw) or when I'm experiencing crazy airtime, etc.
  10. True, but for me it's like comparing Friday the 13th to the Exorcist, I've been scared by both films, but the Exorcist stuck with me, haunts me to this day, I still have nightmares about that stupid movie. And I think that's the difference between Haunt and Horror Nights, one is shocksploitation, and the other is genuine terror that lasts much longer than one night. Now I'll stop harassing the Haunt lovers and rest for a while . -Jake "Can't wait for October!" Sundstrom
  11. ^ That just seems like a cop out to me... Guests shouldn't have to "work" to be scared at a Halloween event. After all.. it's the employee's JOB to WORK at scaring people, am I right?
  12. ^ Is it irony that HE'S the one that has decided to "set us straight"?
  13. I don't think that your average guest is going to Haunt expecting to see these "characters". Hell, if it wasn't for Brent, I wouldn't even know such a thing existed!
  14. I think that they need to put on their best performance when they have the biggest crowd. I also think they need to crack down on the drug use at the park, it was a little ridiculous. If you're gonna do it at home, whatever, but don't bring it to the park. Hm, personally I just don't think any verbal interactivity between the monsters and the guests (other than growling, snarling, or talking in a way that enhances the atmosphere of the maze) is a bad show. It just makes me feel too comfortable in the maze! Also, they should try letting in smaller groups of people into the mazes at a time. It's much less scary when it's "The Line Maze" as opposed to a group of people just endlessly wandering through... Anyone who has been at the front, or the back of a group knows what I'm talking about!
  15. I don't get scared at Haunt, but I don't jump at every thing that moves, so maybe that's my problem . Oh I see, you just want me to be your ticket whore? I thought we had something special man! The way I see it, if they can't perform on a busy night, than they're just not giving it their all. Maybe I'm too damn picky though!
  16. I don't think that monsters should be talking unless it fits the story of the maze. Screaming "Got you!" or some such banter.. It just doesn't work for me. I think that because Halloween Horror Night's mazes have a unified story (as opposed to a lot of monsters running around 'X' setting) they "stay in character" more often. Ya know what I mean? That's just how I feel though.. apparently the thousands of people that were packed into Knott's feel otherwise. Or perhaps they were just in it for the pot that was being passed around? Who knows! You gotta come to Horror Nights with me this year bro, just so we can finally have both seen both events!
  17. I don't believe that the monster should be saying anything - it's trying to eat you, not talk about how kick ass the maze is, right? That's just how I feel about it, though! Just to prove that I have had experience with this before, here's my experience with the Haunt monsters. When I went to the event last October, I was walking through one of the weaker mazes, I can't remember which now (Not Cornstalkers, Quarantine or the Asylum - these were all excellent) perhaps the Texas Chainsaw Massacre style maze? Anyway, one of the monsters recognized a buddy from school (Or from some such place) and shouted out "Hey (Insert name here) how ya doin buddy!?" in the plainest, most unmonster like voice you could imagine. He goes up, gives him a hug and they start talking about the event. In the maze. I dunno, that just screams "bad show" to me! Jake "Looks forward to more long Haunt discussions with The Brentster" Sundstrom
  18. That fire truck attraction kicks SO much ass! That's exactly what I believe an interactive attraction should be, one that really gives you a work out! Great trip report, it looks like you had a great time!
  19. While I see what you mean, I don't think the "atmosphere" in any of the mazes was ruined for me by a bad scarer, however I think their "Scare Zones" could REALLY use some work. That's where you see monsters talking to guests, and to each other, and that ruins the "magic" if you will, for me.
  20. I think that the auditions will be great I'm that they will get the employees more 'into' the event, which should make a more immersive event. However this is only one small step towards fixing this event.
  21. Oh, my bad! I missed that it was a media day, haha. That makes more sense to me. Thanks for clearing that up!
  22. Am I the only one that noticed May 21st is on a Thursday? Are they really going to open a new coaster on a weekday? :S
